Went in for an inspection. Within 10 mins I was asked to pay and then informed I failed my inspection. Everything about the car was fine just worn out tires…
I went to another place, passed with no problems. Was told that tires didn’t need to be change for at least 1 more year!
These douche! Only went to this place cuz everywhere else was full today. This place had 4 staffs or so, but only 1 was busy. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN AND READ THE REVIEWS!!!

This is MY story.
I went to Savvy to get my oil changed before work one morning, and drove my car as usual. On my way home from my second job, on the COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR, my car stopped running. When the tow truck came, he said «huh, that’s weird, all of the oil leaked out of your car» and then it hit me. I just got my oil changed THAT MORNING! When I told the tow truck driver that he said «It looks like they didn’t put the oil cap on and all the oil leaked out»…sure enough… that’s EXACTLY what happened.
I brought the car to my mechanic who did a thorough inspection (video and everything) and the result was the engine had completely seized. After many interactions with the owner of Savvy and Good Year, they agreed to «fix» my car.
They provided me NO PAPERWORK AT ALL stating that they fixed the car and the warranty they gave me on the «engine» they «put in the car» was 30 days… I asked for way longer than that.
I am partly at fault for picking up the car without them doing what I asked but I was honestly sick of the going back and forth and wanted to move on with my life already. I should have SUED because now I’m trying to sell the car and CAN’T because of this crap engine they put in — it’s so loud :(
I hope they go out of business — their business practices are not right AT ALL. Money Hungry fools.

I happen to know the manager Robert for many years. He use to service all my vehicles (5) with much professionalism. However, when there’s a problem that they created, good luck!!!
In my case even with all the constant business I give him, he denied any wrong doing. His mechanic put three additional quarts of oil in my BMW and blew two seals in the engine. I found Star (shell) on utopia and Horace Harding expressway to be very competent Tell them Randy sent you lol

Stay far away from this establishment! I went there with a perfectly running car for a quick oil change and left with a car that is not running properly. The mechanic convinced me to purchase a liquid to clean my engine. He insisted that my car needed it,., he is the mechanic so I listened. BIG MISTAKE! Now my car sounds like it’s going to break down. When confronted, they take zero responsibility and to top it off they are nasty about it! How do they stay in business with the poor customer service they give their customers. Now my car is going into another shop to fix a problem that it never had before. I’m sooooo frustrated! I really wish I could give this place a zero!!! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!

Stay away from this place… I came here to get my inspection done they lifted my car and started to look for problems, my car apparently is not going to pass the inspection because a lot of things were broken etc. Went to somebody else and was out in 10 min was enough said.

Excellent experience. Service Manager Robert took time to help me figure out what I needed to do. Extremely respectful and really knows what he’s doing. I was recommended by a friend who brings lots of his cars and business vehicles here. It was a tiny bit farther than I used to go but II will definitely use this shop.

I got an oil change yesterday and found out today that they pulled off the cover under my car while doing the oil change. Because they pulled off the cover, the bolts were missing and it was dragging on the street while I was driving.
I called today and spoke to a mechanic named Gabby and he was rude and not helpful. I live in Glen Cove, Long island so it is about a 45 minute drive from my home to this place. There was no way I would be able to drive back my car with something dragging on the floor. So I asked them to come out to my house to fix this problem since I was not be able to drive back BUT THEY REFUSED COME. And kept telling me I had to bring my car in.
I asked to speak to the manager and a man named Gabby told me that the manager was coming in tomorrow and not today. I told him to take down my number and to call his manager so I could speak to him directly but Gabby REFUSED saying that he was not authorized to do so and that I needed to call back tomorrow. I asked him what time the manager was coming in tomorrow and he said that he was not sure because «he comes in whenever he feels like» (his exact words).
In the end, I told him that I was going to a mechanic near my house and was going to send them the bill since they did this to my car. Gabby said that they will not be able to pay for anything since they are not the ones servicing my car. So… I asked him what I should do? He said to bring it in. WHICH MAKES NO SENSE SINCE I CANNOT DRIVE MY CAR AND GET ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SOMETHING DRAGGING ON THE FLOOR!
I am beyond frustrated and so mad about the way they handled the situation. They are terrible people, do poor work and have the worst customer service. I would occasionally use their services if I was in the area but I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now for all my tire needs (fix flat, new tires, etc.).
Service has always been speedy and the prices seem fair.
And you get a free car wash with the purchase of a tire (not that your going to purchase a tire that often)
No complaints.

I’ve been washing my car here for years but today is the last time. It’s simple. They do a terrible job and I keep going back ’cause it is near home, but I always drive away knowing I should go around the block and insist that they re-​do what they missed.
Today I paid $ 7 extra to have the rubber mats washed, including the cargo area mat. I have a Subaru Outback and the carpet in the back cargo area still had sand on it. THey put the clean mat right over it. When the car comes out of the carwash I know I have to stand by the crew because most of them don’t wipe inside ledges unless you point it out to them.
As soon as I drive away and hit the sun, the sloppy wiping on the windshield shows up. They do broad strokes and always miss the area around the rearview mirror.
They are polite but hopeless. NEVER AGAIN!

I never review anything, but what had happened to my car is just so awful that I needed to warn other people. I just got the platinum car wash at Savvy and when I returned home, I noticed there were 6 scrapes on my car that weren’t there before the car wash as well as many chips in my paint on my hood. The scrapes all looked the same so they obviously came from the same source. I expect one of the hand washers was a wearing a watch that scraped my car. I have just wrote an email to the management, I will update on how they respond.

I have my car for 6years and i get a oil change every 3~4 month ALWAYS 60 – 70 $. This place is way too shady, asked me for 100 for a regular oil change (just regular oil, not mobile one or any name branded oil). Most ridiculous part is they charged me for washer fluid too? Never seen that in my life before. The attitude at this place is just absolutely rude. They need to run outta bussiness.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service. Owner (Robert) is completely rude… from the time I walked in to get a routine inspection until the time I left he was just completely rude and obnoxious for no apparent reason… the actual mechanics were pretty polite… Service was average… but will not be returning to this one based on my unpleasant first impression.

The employees and staff are very courteous. Aside from that, I found this place not worth going back to. First the price doesn’t justify the end result. My vehicle remained dirty after the wash. My saliva can do a better job removing dirt, seriously! Spraying the vehicle with water using a garden hose is better! Their so called wash was not even able to remove bird droppings on my windshield. I had to do it myself. The cheapest on the «menu» is $ 10.95 plus $ 2.00 if you have an SUV regardless of size of the vehicle. I will never go back to this place again! That is my opinion base on my experience.

I dropped off my car for a NYS inspection and it as quick and easy. Mark at the desk told me it would be a half hour but it was done in 15 minutes. I’ll definitely come back.

This review is for Savvy Car Wash only.
One of the cheapest gas prices in the area. However I come here for car washes. They offer a bunch of different types of car washes that range from $ 7.95 to $ 25.95. The car washes here are a bit pricier than other places but you do get what you pay for.
The brushes to clean your car actually move to clean every part of your car instead of the standard rubber flap things at other car washes.
I usually get the platinum car wash at $ 21.95 and I’m always really happy with the service. It’s the standard car wash plus rain-​x, wax, mat cleaning, wheel shine, interior leather polish, and probably some other things I left out. They always spend about 10 minutes wiping and polishing my car afterwards. (see picture for my shiny car)
The only con is they close pretty early. I’ve passed by a couple of times around 6 to find that they’ve already closed. Call ahead to find out their hours but overall a good value for the price you’re paying.

Had gone to Savvy Auto Center for at least fourteen years. I knew I was paying top dollar for substandard parts and over paying for tires but since they were only ten blocks away and would drop me off at home if the car was going to take a very long time to repair I put up with it.
Several months ago I bought a car from Savvy on Robert’s say so for my daughter who would be getting her license this year. He reassured me many many times that Savvy had been performing routine service and maintenance for ten years and that the $ 3,500.00 was a great deal. I went across the street and purchased new mats and steering wheel cover.
Needless to say, the car drove about 300 miles before the transmission seized. I returned to Savvy and informed Robert that the transmission started acting up at about 280 miles and by the time I was able to locate and drive to the nearest transmission center that the car was completely without any forward or reverse gears.
The transmission center stated that it looked as if there was previous transmission trouble and that someone may have tried to rebuild the transmission because of the tool marks.
Robert’s response was that the car should have run for more than 300 miles and I am out $ 3,800.00 (the cost of the car, floor mats, steering wheel cover and tow) and the car is not worth fixing and Robert is not offering to refund my money for this P.O.S. That I never would have purchased without his recommendation.
I would slice my D*ck off before I ever return to Savvy for any repairs or even for a car wash.

Let me start off by saying that the car wash and oil change center is down the block from here. Yes, I know it is the same owners.
Robert is the best! He could have very easily ripped me off several times but I know for a fact he did not. The mechanics are fast and they do a great job. I went there the other day to have my brakes done and had a great conversation with Robert, the manager while I waited.

Savvy tire center sucks! I rolled up in my car, the guy at the counter didn’t even go out to look at my tire. Didn’t bother to inspect the tire to see if its fixable or if it needs to be replaced. He looked at my vehicle (not my tire) through his store front window and shouted out a ridiculous price for the tire. I think he was asking for like $ 220 for the tire NY state labor. I looked at him said «Get the fuck outta here». He looked at me and thought I was someone he can easily rip off.

Have them shipped to a mechanic you can trust and he’ll install them for you at a cheaper rate. I got the same tires the guy at Savvy looked up for $ 135 per tire, friggin guy wanted $ 220 each! Savvy sucks! Never go there.
