I come here because it is close to my home. They are cheap for a decent job.
18 bucks for pedicure! Most of the workers there are korean. But i feel like it’s a hit or miss with the manucurist. Some of them are good and some of them are ok. Its better if you know a certain manicurist. Otherwise you would get shitty work done on your nails!

Sorry but this place does not impress me. I came here once and never again. Place is not clean and they do not have good color choices for gel manis. There are def better nail salons in the area.

I came to this nail salon because a friend recommended. I agreed to go because she recommended.
It’s located in a busy shopping center but there’s parking and its never hard to get a spot.
We walked in and were greeted and was also asked what we needed done. We were only getting regular gel manicures.
The place is beautiful however the customer service needs a little work.
My friend has very short nails and when her nail tech asked if she’s getting gel, the nail tech sucked her teeth.
Also the manager is very rude to the employees. I didn’t catch her name but she’s very rude to them. It broke my heart.
My nail tech was amazing. I wish I did this review earlier when I remembered her name. She did my nails very well.
You also receive a mini shoulder massage with your visit.
I would recommend however I personally wouldn’t return.

Going here has always been a treat for 10 years! I was not pleased when it took over 2 hours to get a simple mani and pedi. However, the service is always incredible. Very sweet, genuine staff. The customer makes me want to come there every time.

Avoid this place if possible! First of all a reg mani is $ 9 which is expensive considering how poorly it’s done. The lady did mine haphazardly with bubbles formed once dried. Please don’t go here!!!

I am new to the area so my husband and I decided to try this place for a mani and pedi I have to say we both were not impressed at all. It was 25 for a mani and pedi to be honest I feel like all I paid for was for her to take the polish I previously had and paint a new color. There was no massage done to my feet or hands and her nail polish skills are horrible she got paint all over my skin she also cut me while removing my cuticles. She didn’t even check on me after sitting at the dryers I saw all the other women giving their regular clients back massages and actually taking their time with them my husband and I did not receive that today at all. My nail tech was Susan I am not sure of the persons name who did my husbands. He actually said the one who did his nails wasn’t that bad she didn’t wow him he also said it felt very basic. The reason I am giving it two stars is because unlike most salons I’ve been too this place the workers did not talk about us while they did our nails they were all pretty quite. Overall I will not be returning to this place.

I decided to try this nail salon to get a color gel manicure since its close to home and I was so wrong to go here. First of all the lady at the counter told me to come back 5 hours after I got there if I wanted an appointment with one of THE BEST lady there but when I get there she denies telling me that so then why did I come back after 5 hours? No clue what was going on because they put my nails in foil already and I couldn’t leave since I am already pissed off I just wanted to get it over with.
Now the lady who decides to do my nails after having me wait longer didn’t clean anything so I had to keep telling her what to do and she forgot one whole hand and then tells me no I did clean it. At this point I ask her why would I lie and I want her to clean so she does. After the worst manicure I have ever gotten is done she takes a slab of lotion rubs it in a circle on the top of my hand missing every other part of it and puts a towel on it and says okay your done. I took the towel from her and dried my own hands and then I ask her how much. She tells me $ 26 and I ask why because the lady in the front told me $ 25 and she says its $ 1 for «TAX» which made no sense so I just took it off her tip because she was just trying to make more money. (since when do nail places charge tax on cash)
I have been getting my nails done for over 10 years and the day I decide to do things faster because of the holidays it was probably my worst mistake. I would never recommend this nail salon to anyone and if I could I would give it no stars because there is no such thing as customer service here.

I went here to try a pedicure. The employee was pleasant but rushed the pedicure and did a mediocre job. In addition the chair I was in, did not work properly. I called and asked how much for a polish change and was given a higher price in person and 50 cents more than what was listed on the price chart in the salon. The place is large and seems clean but, I would not recommend for a pedicure.

The only reason that I am giving this place two stars is because they are clean. The customer service is deplorable for a variety of reasons.
1) There is no attempt to be kind or pleasant to customers. I started coming here a few years ago after my original nail place closed. It was close to my job and convenient, and this is the only reason I was continuing to go. They do not greet you or even say thank you when you leave a tip.
2) They spend all of their time talking in Korean about all of the customers. I never feel comfortable in there because it is so obvious when they are talking about you. When the only manicurist that I like (Maria, who is Hispanic) has worked on me, I told her that I clearly need to stop coming because I feel like the other manicurists look down on me. They are always giving evil looks and rolling their eyes.
3) They are racist. When they do greet customers, it’s clear that their favorite customers to greet are Jewish women. I don’t know if these women are spending more money than the average customers, but I have been coming here for a few years now… and they still don’t even bother to ask for my name.
4) For the few years that I have come here, there have been a number of times where I have paid by card and been able to place the tip on the card. This past Friday, I tried to do the same thing, and I was chastised for it. When I tried to explain that I always did this, they pretended as if they never allowed it to happen before.
The women at their other location on Bell Blvd are much nicer, and it is not as crowded as this location.

Unfriendly place, ok manicure. I felt like I was imposing on the woman who did my nails. She said one thing to me ‘Don’t touch’ when iI tried to pick up my purse. I was scolded when I said I couldn’t find the color polish I wanted which I know by name and was told «polish is up front.» Yeah, I know but was it so much trouble to get it for me?

Came here because my usual place (Nail Envy near Blue Bay Diner) was closed for renovation Tuesday. Maybe because they are very busy, but the chairs, tables, and dryers were not very clean. I did not get a sense of good hygiene which is quite important for a nail salon. While the staff were nice, they did not seem to give attention to detail. Polish was sloppily done and edges were not clean. I paid roughly the same price as my usual place, but did not get the same attention and treatment. I asked for quick-​dry top coat, and had to remind my manicurist. Had mani-​pedi done on Tuesday pm; more than a day later on Wed eve I wore closed shoes, and polish was all ruined. Not sure what they put as top coat (they used drops), but this never happened to me before. And I used my own polish that I used in the past. Wouldn’t recommend. Check out Nail Envy on Francis Lewis and Horace Harding instead.

If I were to get a manicure, I’d come here. They are under 10 $ and I always walk away satisfied. There was this one time last summer where a young man did my mani/​pedi. He took really really long, and it wasn’t very good of a job (lol I think he used about 3 coats of polish to fix up imperfections), but he kept a conversation with me for the 2 hours it took him to finish his work, and I was thoroughly entertained.
Like their other branch, this place is generally pricey, so –1 star for that for the quality for cost, otherwise this is my go-​to place for a good manicure.
Can get crowded since it’s a smaller salon.

I went a few times but only used the service once. I was always told that either I got there too late (an hour before the listed closing time is too late???) or they were just too busy to take my business.
So, I thought they must be really good since they are always so busy. And I was so wrong. The one time that they finally took my business, I still needed to wait for 30 mins. I soaked in the foot tub for 10 mins before anyone talked to me. Then maybe finally the salon was quiet down, there was another 2 ladies were working on my manicure while I was getting my pedi. I didn’t feel being pampered at all, I just felt they were rushing me out, not to mention my manicure looked horrible because it was done by 2 different persons.
I don’t think I will ever go back again… there’s many other cheaper and better ones in the neighborhood, and I think I can do a better job myself.

All I want to let people know is that I came in the door from the parking lot, there was water on the floor, I slipped and broke a toe (found out it was actually broke about 6 hours later after it blew up). I laid on the floor crying out for someone to come and help me get up, NO ONE came to me. One worker by the name of Annie came up but as I laid there in pain, she said «I on the phone with my friend» and continued to talk into her cell. When Becky saw me, she helped me up and tried to buy me off with a 10 dollar service for free added to my service. After I left and found that my toe was in fact blowing up like a balloon, I called Becky and told her I had to go to the emergency room. By THAT TIME SHE HAD CONCOCTED A PHONY STORY THAT THE WATER ON HER FLOOR WHICH I PHOTOGRAPHED ON MY CELL PHONE WAS NOT THERE, BUT THAT THE WATER CAME FROM A CHINESE RESTAURANT. I AM NOT KIDDING YOU. A LAWYER WANTED TO SUE, BUT I DID NOT WANT THE HASSLE BUT I HAVE KEPT ALL THE PICTURES.
ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS BE CAREFUL. IF ANYONE MAKES A MISTAKE AND CUTS YOU OR YOU FALL, BECKY IS GOING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO SAY IT WAS YOUR FAULT OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN IN HER SALON.
I GUESS BECKY IS NOT CARRYING BUSINESS INSURANCE. SHOULD BE CHECKED INTO.

Really nice place, I went a couple of times for OPI manicures, one time for a pedicure and some eyebrow and lip waxing.
I’m usually not making an appointment and the longest I had to wait was about 5 minutes, which I love.
The girl that does the wax is great, no complaints there.
good no-​frill pedicure and manicure, HOWEVER, I don’t understand why are they so expensive, relative to the area– $ 37 for a gel manicure is ridiculous! ! most places charge $ 25 and even in Manhattan I know plenty of outstanding place that take $ 32-​$ 35 (like «The Nail Place»). This is the main reason I stay away…

I just went in today. I come here frequently to get a quick wax or a french pedicure. The pedicures last me 3 weeks before my nails grow which is great!
The chairs are new and comfy and they massage your legs/​feet which you have to pay extra in Forest Hills for. There’s also a punch card where you can get a free mani or pedi after a certain number. This place is very clean and I rarely have to wait because I come in around 12 – 2 before it gets busy derrr
The owner Becky is usually there and she is very nice. She owns another location by Springfield.
I’ve never tried a facial but the manis and pedis are great. I like it better when the employees don’t talk because I want to relax. The one bad thing I have to say is that when you get waxing done its really stupid of them to tell you you’re hairy (that’s why I’m getting waxed!) or guess what nationality you are. Kim did a great job today with waxing. Get her if you can :)

I was going to Sunny — paid $ 85 bucks for a UV Gel Wrap but alas I think it was a waste of my hard earned pesos. The wrap didn’t last as long as she said it would and the bottom line is i would have to see her way too often to keep it up. Too high maintenance so I’m going back to regular manicures.
The highlights though are: Great customer service, clean environment and complimentary mini massages after service.

I love going to this place. It’s very clean especially with the pedicure equipment. They clean it every time they’re done using it, which I love. A lot of salons don’t clean the equipment and if they do, just with water.
There nail polish is very limited. They don’t have new colors and that many colors which I don’t mind since I bring my own color. They are really good with manicures and pedicures. Like any salon there are manicurists that do better jobs than others. I think it is more about your preference. I usually get manicures and have recently tried acrylic set and they did a great job.
You can make appointments ahead of time. I’ve been here several times without an appointment and sometimes I have to wait and sometimes I don’t. I would recommend to make an appointment if you’re in a rush or not with enough time. Overall its one of the best salons I’ve been to. They are not too pricey. $ 7 for a manicure is not bad. I would recommend to try this salon. It’s a great place to come to pamper yourself. :)

I came here often because I lived within a 2 minute walk from the shopping center housing the salon. I usually walk in instead of making an appointment. I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes.
I’ve had regular manicures/​pedicures to UV gel nails done at this salon. The manicures are of average quality. There’s only 1 person trained to do UV gel nails, and she’s skilled at crafting those nails.
When you get a regular manis/​pedis the staff doesn’t really care too much about pleasing you. They don’t speak too much to you aside from the usual exchange of pleasantries. If you’re there to gossip with your manicurist, you’ve come to the wrong place! The nail technicians mostly speak to each other in Korean. I’m always trying to guess if they’re gossiping about me. (Like that Seinfeld episode).
As for the colors, the salon could update their selection more regularly. I never see the latest nail polish collections in the salon. The salon could also expand their spectrum of colors as well. There are 4 shelves of beiges, but maybe only a few bottles of glitter polishes.
The salon itself is cleaner than the surrounding salons, and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend you to stop by if you’re in the area.

I come here because it is close to where I live. They are often very busy after regular work hours (after 5pm it starts to get extremely crowded).
Pros: Their equipment seems clean, their chairs for pedicures are cleaned and sanitized and everything seems to be kept up. There are like 12 – 15 ladies that work here, of Asian descent. They are very meticulous and careful. There is a wide selection of nail color to choose from.
They also do mini-​massages, waxings and facials. I’ve tried waxing my underarms — was not satisfied at all. The girl did a sloppy job and for $ 15, I didn’t think it was done right at all. I’ve never done facials here before.
Apparently ou can make appointments here 20 minutes before stepping in (I was on the bus with one girl that made an appt as we were approaching 188 Street and then walked in the store after me but got to get serviced before me). Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
Cons: Depending on which girls you get, they can be somewhat sloppy. It is EXTREMELY crowded — sometimes there isn’t even any waiting room. The ladies talk in Korean all the time… which may not be a problem for some, but is a problem for me because I feel like it is very rude.
There was one incident that really ruined my experience at Becky’s. I walked in around 6:30 (they close at 7:30) and was waiting for almost 45 minutes, when one of the girls, I believe her name was Anne, came up to me and was like, you should’ve came earlier, we are closing soon. I was like, excuse me, but I was waiting for 45 minutes! She continued to ignore me, as if I was making excuses for why I «came so late». Although she was quite rude and did everything at top speed, she was also the neatest and most professional of the ladies that work here. I have never had such a fast yet perfect looking French pedicure.
**There is another Ann that works here, who is NOT as neat and careful.
I still come back here once in awhile for the convenience, but I make sure I don’t come on weekdays anymore.
