Tekify Broadband Internet Services

Great Service as he promised, I like Brett’s immediate response to our needs when my IT wanted to change some settings with the fixed IP.

I opened a new restaurant (Boneheads) at Pacific Commons in Fremont and the geniuses there do not have infrastructure there for the bloated and bureaucratic ISPs to provide service there.
Its a good think because Tekify more than makes up for that.
Brett guided me in terms of infrastructure needed, install reqs, software/​network setup and dealing with the anal landlord at Pacific Commons requirements for install.
I am happy with the SLAs Tekify developed and have delivered on their promises.

I should have taken the time to post this review some time ago. I opened a restaurant recently and needed internet service. I have a package deal at Comcast for my other business which provides cable for the television in the waiting area along with internet to all of the computer terminals. So my first thought was to go with what you know. Comcast sent a Technician and I was told that its was going to cost over $ 54,000.00 to run a line to the establishment, that Fremont Bank next door has a dedicated line and we could not tap into there service. They offered to cover $ 5,000.00. Obvious $ 49,000.00 was a little over my budget for internet so I contacted AT@T. The previous owner had used that service so the idea was to reactivate it. I was told they no longer offer broadband and that the could offer a much slower T48 line for around a little more the $ 600.00 per month. That was out of my budget and I was running out of time. Unfortunately I had a construction timeline and the point of sales system was being delivered and installed in a few days. I needed internet before the system arrived and there was certain technological things the internet service had to have that was completely foreign to me. so taking a long shot I Unilocaled and came across Bret’s business I contacted Bret who I conferenced with their installation Technician. Bret on a extremely tight timeline was able to have my internet up and running with a reasonable installation fee and service at a little over one hundred a month.
Bottom line this company saved me thousands of dollars. What makes this company even more special is Bret stops by on occasion for lunch, Out of all of my vendors he actually patronizes my establishment. I have never seen the Beer, Pepsi, or any other service provider I hire stopping by for lunch to check out how things are going. He truly cares about his business and his clients.

Brett from Tekify was awesome. I sent him a whole load of emails asking a ton of questions, and he was lightning fast at responding. Super professional. Unfortunately, due to my landlord’s restrictions, I wasn’t able to sign up for Tekify, but I wanted to let people know that I had a great experience nonetheless!

Fully agree with other reviewers who gave 5 stars. I’ve had Tekify internet service for 3+ months and no problem has ever occurred. Brett and his team are professional, friendly, and go above and beyond. I’m so glad they provide a solution that allows me to ditch comcast and/​or at&t internet once for all.

Words I’d use for my Tekify experience are: fast, professional, knownledgable and flexible.
Fast: I requested a quote on Wednesday, Brett and Chuck were onsite Thursday morning. They could have finish the install on the same day, but they needed to come back due to issue on my building. (more on that later)
Professional: Brett and team are very professional throughout the entire engagement. My neighbor liked them when interacting with their tech and may signup with them also. :)
Knowledgeable and Flexible: On their 1^st onsite visit, Brett and team discovered that the previous occupants of the building cut and removed all cat5 cables in the ceiling! As a result, we need to do a long cable run from the phone cabinet on the opposite corner of the building, go through our next door neighbor, over 3 offices, and finally into our suite. Instead of putting their hands up or dropping a crazy installation bill, Brett told me he’ll return the next day with the right equipment for the job. And they did. After a couple of hours, we are online by Friday. Amazing service!
BTW, I got a 10Mbps down and 10Mbps up service for $ 109. A DSL sales guy quoted me $ 79 for a 1.5M/768K package. Tekify is 10X faster for only $ 30 extra. It’s a simple decision for any business operations.
I am very happy my experience with Tekify. I see a lot of pride and care for the company from everyone who works there. This is the key to any business success. I highly recommend their service to anyone!

Okay, the caveat on my prior review? Pretend it wasn’t there. The problem was in the main router that was connecting their box to my LAN. It had a soft spot of solder, that would heat up and drop conductivity. So, long story short, my bad, not theirs. Also, their latency is shockingly good. I figured bandwidth would be good, but latency on small packets would not. Not the case. In short, this is as good as anything short of Google Fiber gets.

Tekify is one of the best providers.
1. Highly professional team. They came in. tested it out, installed, even cleaned the mess left over by Comcast.
2. Brett was very upfront. He tested the system and waited for couple of months before charging me.
3. Tekify is no bull-​shit. Their prices are straightforward and no hidden fees and no rate increases
4. Their bandwidth is awesome. The performance is the best you can find amongst the providers in fremont.
5. They are reliable and they helped get off silly Comcast and AT&T.

In the past I’ve used Comcast and AT&T and was tired of having the post-​intro price hidden from me and getting upsold on features and services I didn’t need nor want. All I really want is a fast solid internet connection for my house! I’m glad to find that Tekify services my home in Newark, CA as their advertised price and speed seemed fair without having any other useless services bundled in.
As I contacted them with a few questions, Brett was straightforward giving me my answers and I received very little pressure to make a decision then and there. I had an appointment set up for the installation and was given a 3 hour time window for when the installer would arrive. The installer showed up pretty much at the beginning of that window. He got to work right away in getting me hooked up. The hardware looks really clean. They attached a small dish to the outside structure of my house and ran a wire to the inside of the home connected to this little black power supply. All in all, Brett and the other installer were very friendly and seemed glad to have my business.
Tekify’s internet service works just fine on the default settings of my old router. For where I am located, I was initially estimated a download and upload range of 20 to 35 mbps on their «30 mbps» plan. Running a speed test, I have been getting about 25 mbps.
I’ve never really asked for much from any of my previous providers, but I feel like these guys are the first to deliver what I really wanted with no surprises!

So I found out that Tekify can now offer broadband internet where I live in Union City. I was happy to hear this since I have been frustrated with Comcast. Downloads sometimes took forever. Watching Netflix on our TV was frustrating… stopping and buffering and totally unreliable. So Tekify strapped a small antenna on our chimney and pointed it towards its tower in Niles and we now have the fastest internet connection we have ever had. My WiFi is fast on my smartphone. To top it off it is so much cheaper than Comcast. Fast courteous service from Brett. I am a believer.

Brett and team are on it with fast, value priced broadband installation and monthly fees for the Internet Desert that is South Fremont.
Highly recommend. Now if I can just get a bit more burst and also get my guaranteed speeds 100% of the time… not getting those yet… maybe I need a new router? :-\

This is excellent speed and reliability for cheap with good customer service. We got the $ 100/​month package at 10 Mbps down and up. That’s 10x faster than other services that we had and cost ¹⁄₃. They use microwave to antenae on the roof and landlord of business center had not issue with it. This cuts out the unreliable DSL companies (Megapath in our area) and bypass nonavailability of Comcast and ATT which I’ve had at other business with terrible customer service.

Tekify set up VoIP for a law office I worked for a few months back. The few times we ever had any issues with the phones, Brett was easy to get ahold of and took care of the issue while we stayed on the line with him. I was actually to blame for one of the hiccups. His great customer service and clear technological genius makes tekify top notch and far superior to the phone company.

For years my company was paying around $ 1200/​month for a stodgy but reliable T1 line for Internet connectivity. Although we are in a typical light industrial park the local cable or DSL services wanted tens of thousands of dollars to install their services because they would have to pull new cable.
Tekify managed to figure out a way for us to get hooked directly into the Internet backbone via wireless. It has been installed for about three years now with zero unscheduled down time. And we get 70Mbit+ of service (both upload and download) at a fraction the cost of what the usual ISPs would charge for the same bandwidth. In fact it is much less than the T1 service we were paying for.
With their wireless technology Tekify might not be able to reach your specific geographical location, but if they can there is no better way to go.
We also use Tekify for Internet-​based voice services for three of our four offices.
