Well, after reading the rave reviews of this company, I certainly expected a return phone call after leaving two voicemails since last week– as of 10 pm Monday this didn’t happen. I guess they didn’t want some substantial work in Fremont and there are other contractors who would treat potential customers better than this. Beware is all I can say…

Snyder Brothers Construction recently completed the 2^nd story addition on our 1947 house. This is the 3^rd major construction project we’ve done. We were going to use our contractor from the previous job, but his bid was much higher than we expected. Our architect suggested we get a quote from Snyder Brothers. We did, and luckily their price was within our budget.
Dan and Bob are very down to earth and easy to work with. They did a great job with the foundation, framing, and plumbing and their subcontractors are also good, particularly the electrician, sheetrocker, and painter. We are very happy with the project and plan to use them for a kitchen remodel down the road.

Just so you know, great crew — They did a really good job on the door and framing. One of them took the initiative to fix a 3 ft. piece of molding that was damage without me asking, probably took him 5 minutes and he most likely used leftover material from the project but I thought it was nice of him to do that. Please let them know we are very happy with the results.

We worked with Snyder Brothers Construction on our home extension project where we extended a master room. We talked with 4~5 contractors and decided to go with Synder Brothers. They were very knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with. Plus my friend who referred us to them also talks highly about them.
Now the project is done, we are very happy that we picked the right team. During the whole project, Bob and Dan were always very helpful and willing to assist. They always kept the construction field clean, which we really appreciate because we lived there while the project was on-​going. Also when we found something we would like to improve, they always followed up positively and helped us with the modification even if the items were not in the original contract.
I already referred a few friends to them. I enjoyed working with them and hope they have a thriving business.

Snyder Brothers Construction is the best general contracting company I’ve ever encountered. They are a local family owned and operated business and offer world class contracting services.
I found them here on Unilocal along with about 20 other contractors and contacted them for a project in a commercial building. Of all the contractors I contacted Snyder Bros was the most professional and by far the most customer service oriented. The showed up to the job site the next morning, conducted themselves in a very friendly and professional manner and then sent me a quote the next day. For this level of service I expected the quote to be astronomically high; it wasn’t. In fact, of all the quotes I received for this job they were one of the lowest. They completed the job quickly and cleanly and handled several changes in job scope with ease. All of their workers were knowledgeable, friendly and presentable. The job site was always clean, safe and orderly and the value of the service overall was much higher than the actual cost.
I have since recommended them to several friends, businesses and anyone else who has any kind of building or remodeling project to tackle and use them for work on my personal home.

EDIT: I forgot to mention in my review that Snyder brothers handled pulling all of the permits with the city and dealt with the inspectors.

We had to remodel our kitchen last year and was very skeptical on whom to hire after hearing mostly horror stories on general contractors. Dan was introduced to me by my friend who was an architect. After the first meeting, my husband and I knew he was the one that we could very comfortably work with. And it came out to be so true.
Dan and his entire crew were professional, courteous, patient and easy to work with. His problem solving skill was exceptionally good. He also kept the cost down and stayed within our budget. And he was on schedule!!!
We were very happy with our kitchen outcome. Some of the pictures posted were from our kitchen. We had a very pleasant experience with Dan and we would hire him if we had to do another project. And we have been recommending him to all our friends.

I am a lumber supplier for Bobby and Dan. I would have to say that they are among the most easy going, professional, and upstanding individuals that I deal with. All bills are paid on time, all materials are ordered in advance, and no one is ever upset or screaming when issues arise. I have had the ability to get to know both of these gentlemen and I would, and I do, refer them out to anyone I know with full confidence. These guys are a real class act and would be great contractors for anyone looking!

I have been working with Snyder Brothers Constructions for almost 5 years. This Unilocal review is long overdue.
They are my go to general contractors for any construction related projects, ranging from kitchen/​baths remodels, room/​bath additions, to complete house renovation and building my dream house from the ground up.
Robert and Dan are extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They know the in-​and-​outs of every trade and have an excellent crew and network to get everything done. They get the work done right; on time and on budget.
Construction is never easy and there are always issues. Dan and Robert always communicate to me up front and explain all the options to me clearly. They go the extra miles to make sure things can be resolved without cutting any corner and never compromise on quality. To me, this is what makes them different from others.
They are not afraid to get their hands dirty neither, I have seen amazing things they can do with power saws.
But what impressed me the most and the way they treat their crews. They never overwork them and treat everyone with respect. Happy crew translates to quality of work and who doesn’t want to see happy faces at the work sites.
I will continue to work with Snyder Brothers for all my future construction projects.

I was involved with the Snyder Bros in a couple of small real estate projects that were very successful. This led me to hire them as the general contractor to build my 8000+ home. The quality that Bob brought to the project was what initially interested me. What kept me going back was the straight forward approach and honest feedback. Projects are never easy and will always have change requests. Generally, this is when the contractor will really stick it to you. Bob was honest and fair about helping us build our dream. He wore many hats and was always concerned with cost/​benefit and talking through the «smart» and «efficient» way to get things done.
