This store is just too darn expensive for what it is. The ladies at the counter are fun and friendly and snarky in the right way, so I feel kind of guilty giving just two stars. Additionally — in my ever-hopefulness — I will continue to stop by whenever I’m in Niles(IF they let me in the door after this review). However, I’ve noticed that I have to struggle to find a worthwhile purchase here. When I hit the Niles antique row, my purse strings are loose and I’m itching to spend, spend, spend, so the fact that I have to strain to find ANYTHING worth buying here means that the vendors need to revisit their pricing strategy.

Lost in the Attic is a must shop when your in the town of Niles! Lady Jo is the owner and she has a great crew of sellers who have a large variety of things to look for. The prices are great and there are always sales going on. Its an all in one stop to shop. Always new things that come into the store for sale as well. I have shopped this store for years now, and am always coming out of the store loaded with new things for my home. Lost in the Attic is your feel good, find a deal place and frankly is one of the greatest shops in Niles. Do yourself a favor, stop in and find the deal your looking for here!

Checked out this little antique shop today. This hidden gem on a main street is in such a cute old-fashioned town area, with a train where you can take rides across the street. There are at least 5 antique shops here worth checking out! Yippee! We found lots of great stuff(looks like they have multiple vendors). I saw some bowls and casserole dishes my mother has that are from the 70’s and now expensive antiques. My husband found a Captain America board game from the 70’s. I picked up a recipe box and a fun doors record. Lots of Bakelite, earrings, hatpins and other costume jewelry. Antiques, furniture and country items. You do have to leave any shopping bags with the people behind the counter though. Definitely a fun place to browse. Also the Niles Silent Film Museum is on the same street and the play silent films along with having exhibits of the history of Silent Film. That’s probably why this antique store had so much Charlie Chaplin stuff on the walls. Got an old Remington typewriter here for $ 20!
