History

Established in 2014.

Gooseneck Bicycles is a family-owned retail storefront that specializes in TLC for your bicycle. We offer minor and major service and repair, bicycle modifications and builds, new, used, vintage, and refurbished.

Gooseneck Bicycles is the brainchild of Matthew Rodriguez, owner of Pops Fabrication and formerly Shorty Fatz, from San Jose, CA. We currently operate Pops Fabrication’s custom bicycle build ordering from Gooseneck Bicycles. We strive to offer complete quality service and knowledge to exceed our customers’ expectations. No job is too small, too big, too old, or too new.

Meet the Business Owner

Matthew and Aisha R.

Business Owner

Matthew’s passion for fabrication was developed from his late grandfather, William Camacho, aka «Pops». Working closely with Phil Wood & Co., Matthew was introduced to Dale Saso, an iconic frame-builder in the cycling industry. Dale mentored Matthew in the art of bicycle design and engineering. Shorty Fatz bicycles was a collaborative project between Samuel Rodriguez and Matthew Rodriguez. The bicycles were artistically designed and created with a street-vibe appeal. After 3 years of Shorty Fatz, the partners dissolved the business and Matthew continued bicycle fabricating as Pops Fabrication. Pops Fabrication continues to build custom bicycles frames out of Gooseneck Bicycles.

Aisha brings her 15+ years of corporate experience to the back & front office. In addition to her passion for interior design, artwork, and her husband’s dream, the two work together to create a comfortable, inviting space for seasoned cyclists, beginners, and visitors.
