I was a little harsh in my last review. As it turns out, it’s not uncommon for tiles to be not returnable. Still, I would’ve liked to know this before rather than after placing the order. Anyway, Habib has helped me with a lot of my tile questions and Fremont Tile and Carpet *do* carry a huge selection of beautiful tiles and stones, so I’m updating my rating, from 2 to 4 out of 5.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with this company. They charged me $ 50 for a person to drive 5 miles, look at one small room, measure it and give me an estimate. Here’s the best part (you’re gonna love this): the guy shows up at my front door and asks if I have a tape measure. A few minutes later, he asks to borrow a pen. HE HAD ONE JOB. Fifty bucks and I supply his tools of the trade. I award these 3 stars to the cheerful and hard working young man who later installed the carpet. He did his job expertly, and he didn’t ask to borrow a thing!

We just finished tiling a master bathroom floor and shower using a mix of materials from Fremont Tile and Carpet. Habib was extremely helpful with our selection process and top notch about communicating the details and the pick up. Habib went above and beyond in finding a small medallion piece that fit perfectly. I highly recommend their excellent selection of tile and the helpful advice.

They know their products. The only thing is that they are WAY to expensive. Some of their laminate goes for 2X what other places are charging, Yes 2X!!! I would find another store.

We just finished in upgrading our upstairs in our town home thanks to Fremont Tile and Carpet. These guys are top of the line from the time we walked in their door till the last day of completion. New paint job to all our 2 bedrooms, new bathroom tiles in 2 bathrooms, new carpeting throughout including stairs, new shower doors which are gorgeous.
I’ve read here the other reviews but none seem to mention the crews who do all the work in you’re home. These guys started each day @0900 and worked sometimes till 7pm, with them taking only 15min for lunch. Each day the manager would be here in the morning, and sometimes at the end of each day he would check on the progress. Always would be available for any questions we had. We plan on doing the downstairs next and you can bet it will be with Fremont Tile and Carpet. Steve and Sue

We installed floor tile through our whole house and couldn’t be happier. We got quotes from several tile shops and large chains, but found that Fremont Tile had the best selection, quality, and service. Their prices are competitive and fair. Plus, working with a family business here in Fremont is a plus.

We’ve bought tiles from them for our house remodel for our fireplace, bathroom and kitchen. Various kinds from ceramic to glass tiles. They even quoted for our kitchen counter, but we chose another vendor eventually.
Every single interaction with Fremont Tiles has been highly professional and pleasurable. Ubaid and Habib really know what they are doing and the selection at the showroom is really good and extensive. Couldn’t be happier …

The prior owners of our house bought their kitchen backsplash tile at Fremont Tile & Carpet, so we came here hoping to get a match for the new window sill. We brought a sample with us, and Habib was able to order exactly the same tile for us, only in a larger size. He had 6×6 tile in stock, but we wanted 12×12 tile so there would be fewer grout lines. Habib was happy to accommodate our small order (just four pieces), but the shipping charge was $ 20 on $ 40 worth of tile. Still, he got us exactly what we needed, and it arrived right on time.
They seem to have a very large selection, and when we needed some extra Happy Floors «Living Cream» bullnose tile on short notice, he could have ordered that for us as well (although, again, the shipping charge would have been fairly significant).

We were very pleased with this company and the carpet. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable, helpful and prompt. We will buy carpet from them again. And the price was good.
