Crossing Cycle was established in 1941 by Louis Mucciarone, mainly with restored bikes. Being war time, new bikes were in short supply. Today is a different scene — mild to wild and everything in between. But Crossing Cycle is still run by the family today. Lou Jr. still maintains the basic values he learned from his dad.

I bought a jogging stroller from a yard sale that was in need of some tire replacement. The owner fixed it up very quickly, new tires, new inner tube and air. In and out in less than 30 minutes and spent a lot less than I thought I would have. Ladies bring your jogging strollers here!

The place is packed wall to wall with bikes and accessories with plenty of options for each, so I’d guess they have supplies for any need. The owner was very helpful finding the parts I needed for my bike and has a ton of experience to back him up (they’ve been open since the ‘60s). A bit of an unusual location being off the main road, but I’m not complaining about a quiet location (actually, that probably makes it easier to give new bikes a fair test ride) with accessible hours. I’ll definitely be heading back for future needs and services.

Crossing Cycle is tucked away in Franklin on Cottage Street. The owner is so nice and helpful. He helped me pick out a bike rack and even put it on my car to be sure it fit!
