History

Established in 1990.

In January 1990, Shaw Droker opened Global Consulting, where he worked from home with no infrastructure outside an answering machine and some fancy letterhead. That didn’t last long. Word spread fast that he’d opened his own company — especially through the local legal industry. Word on the street was that if a company wanted customer-​focused support delivered by an ethical professional, Global Consulting was THE PLACE to call.

Global Consulting went through a period of slow growth, owing almost exclusively to word of mouth and referrals, but before long it was time to hire technicians and office staff to keep up with demand.

The company continues acquiring small computer consulting firms to expand its offerings and strength of service. These development advances allow Global Consulting to stay true to its mission — to provide responsive, responsible customer service to our clients in a way that will instill trust so that they will want to refer their friends and colleagues.

Meet the Business Owner

Shaw D.

Business Owner

has been in the business of providing customer-​focused computing tech for over 30 years. Shaw started his career in the world of computer technology as a programmer for a startup company, Atlas Technology, which provided custom programs to Pacific Bell offices across the state of CA

Shaw’s next venture was as the Technical/​Customer Support Manager for another startup technology company, called CAT-​Links, which brought litigation support software and deposition transcript handling to law firms

In 1990, he opened his own company, Global Consulting, promising to deliver high-​quality computer work to customers in the SoCal area. He can still be found in the field from time to time keeping his knowledge of technology at a hands-​on level

Shaw’s dream for Global Consulting, and later Global Computing, remains focused on one goal: To be a company recognized for putting the customer first. Shaw prides himself on Global’s dedication to finding the right technology at fair prices for all clients
