The positive:
1. Good, locally made ice cream that tasted fresh.
2. The place was clean.
The negative:
1. Very poor customer service with very unfriendly conduct. No welcome, no smile, voice sounding like it was all she could do not to yell at us for not understanding the next two items.
2. The person behind the counter claimed that the establishment did not allow sampling of ice cream flavors.
3. They charge a dollar extra for a child’s scoop of ice cream in a cone!
For these reasons, we won’t be returning (and in fact we would have left immediately had we not been with kids who would have been very disappointed leaving the ice cream shop) and we can’t recommend this establishment to others.

The Bull Ring is a great place for a coffee when you’re out in the stockyards… BUT the best find is the private room below. We had my husbands 50th birthday party here and the staff was fantastic! It’s a great venue — a former gambling hall but you’re able to bring in your own food and drink!!! With valet out front it’s a great place for a party of up to about 100 (we had 50 and it was perfect but lots of room left).

Cool little ice-​cream shop in the wild-​western Stockyards. We stopped in the Bull Ring for a little late afternoon snack and were pleasantly surprised with what we got. I sampled some flavors, but ended up going with the house recommendation: Pecan Praline. DIS IS IT. I’ve had buttered pecan and similar variants like it before, but this was the BEST DAMN PRALINE ice cream I’VE EVER HAD. Thank-​you!
I also enjoyed looking at all the different soda flavors they have, I wanted to try many, but was totally satisfied with my epic ice cream discovery. The shop is very clean and well decorated with what looked like pieces of local western/​Native American art and vintage signs. There is plenty of space for a crowd and a very helpful staff to boot. Thanks for the treats!
