So I went to Pierside Grill on a slow Wednesday evening. Was promptly seated, then our waitress Bella forgot about us for about 15 minutes before we could even place our drink order. Then waited another 10 mins for drinks to arrive. On a slow Wednesday night one would think they would do better. We ordered the $ 12.99 Seafood Cocktail– the shrimp tasted just ok, but not very many of them for $ 12.99. And the cocktail sauce was devoid of any flavor at all. Tasted like a canned sauce. The $ 18.99 stuffed shrimp were stuffed with a seafood salad of some sort, sort of a mixture of crab, shrimp and cream cheese. very bland. Also had the $ 18.99 flounder dinner. It arrived barely warm, and was overcooked to boot. To be fair, the location is good, and the Baybreeze drinks we had were good. Next time in Fort Myers we will definitely avoid this over-priced tourist trap.

Tried my first gator here. It was amazing. Not too tough as that’s the most popular complaint. The live music and view were perfect. Loved the staff and they loved our baby.

Fantastic beachfront location and convenient for parking. Had lunch there today(Tuesday) and it was reasonably busy but managed to get a table close to the beach. Very good buzz even from the less-than-full crowd. Live music was an unexpected bonus. Service was very slow but we didn’t mind as we were enjoying the people watching. We had the coconut shrimp and the cornflake crusted grouper. Both were average, nothing special… probably could have spent a little less time in the fryer. The recommended key lime pie was way too sweet and lacked any significant lime tanginess. I’d recommend this place for the good location but you should manage your expectations if you order the same items as us.

They have an awesome location right on the beach here so my husband and I love to eat here. I love their crunchy fish sandwich and fries here. The coconut shrimp are really good as well. They usually have live music ever here on the weekend which is nice while eating and having a cocktail.

I am a fan of this place for two reasons: perfect location for drinks on the beach and a fabulous raspberry mudslide! The food alone is a 3 star but the location, live music and good drinks bring it up to a 4! I have been here for lunch where I walked right up from our spot on the beach. And I have been here just for drinks at the bar and I have been here several times for a dinner with a view! Every time there was live music which allows you to really enjoy the atmosphere of sitting in the beach! Service is hit or miss depending on the time of day and how busy they are. This place can get VERYBUSY! So if there is a long wait for a table I guarantee you that it will take forever to get your food because the food seems to always take longer than I feel like it should. I have tried a number of things but the coconut shrimp is my favorite thing on the menu that I now stick with. Shrimp burger and smokin fish dip are also good choices! My husband like the chicken salad wrap. If you are looking for an oceanfront view for your meal in the area than this is one of the few spots.

Definitely a great location on the beach! Right there next to the parking lot, and as one of the only locations on the beach, it’s definitely get an abundance of ambiance! We shared the Reuben, and it was quite tasty! They even brought us extra thousand island on the side(it’s like they knew I’d ask for more!) it was plenty for us, a very decently sized portion. Talk around the table was that the grouper sandwich was also of great quality! But let’s talk about what really matters, the pina coladas! A wide variety available for your sipping pleasure and they’re pretty decently priced. Chose from peach to strawberry, mango to banana! They pretty much have every flavor and then some. I got just a regular ol’ piña colada and it hit the spot. Not overly sweet and had just the right about of rum. Definitely would come here again just to fill up after s day of fun in the sun.

Was in the Ft. Myers beach for the last couple of days and stopped here for a bite to eat. Food was very tasty. The grouper sandwich was good. The fish was tasty and flaky. However, the bread was a bit much for the sandwich. I wouldve likely preferred it as an entrée instead of sandwich. Likely to go back when/if im back in the area.

Nice experience. Clean. Quick service. Right on the gulf. Teens ate the cheese sticks which were actually awesome. Very dry and flavorful, no greasiness. Lump crab cake appetizer very yummy to me, but I’m no Phil Vattel. Skip the«local» brew. Key West on tap. Tasted just like Miller Lite to me. Switched to a Stella after the first one.

They definitely have an awesome spot right on the beach. You can’t beat it! The only wait it would be a better location would be if it was on the other side of the pier so you could see the sunset. We arrived on a Tuesday evening and the place was jam packed! The waitresses definitely seemed a bit overwhelmed, probably because they weren’t expecting such a crowd. Our waitress was efficient but not the friendliest. They drop a pitcher of water off at your table so they don’t have to worry about refills which I think is a pretty great idea! I got the mahi mahi and it was good but a little overcooked. Not sure that I would get it in. The side salad was a good side and the baked potato was tasty(hard to go wrong with that one). I also tried out a peice of their key lime pie. Now, I really love sweet things but the pie was a little too sweet, it didn’t have that lime tanginess you would expect from a key lime pie.

I’m in town for ft myers for the weekend and a group of 7 of us. When we walked in the place was empty. Décor looked completely run down and dark. Drinks came out in a clear plastic solo cup. Appitizers were good but lukewarm. Southwest chicken sandwich was bland and the rest frozen guacamole was terrible. It’s your typical dive restaurant.

Great view, good service, tasty food and good drinks! What more could you ask for from a beachside restaurant? The coconut shrimp is delicious and the«one and only shrimp burger» is quite good. My favorite drink is the Latitude Adjuster, it tastes like a piña colada. Also, the blackened cod sandwich was wonderful– tasty, well seasoned and filling. Ambience is nice with live background music and candles lighting up the night. Second time here and will come again!

Decent food right on the beach. You can have burgers, steaks, seafood, bbq, ribs or just a drink. Drinks are small and pricey. They had music at night on the patio. Onion rings were huge!

Although the service was good, the food was average. We ordered the broiled seafood platter.

We were here on a family vacation from Chicago and had a pleasant sunset and music to see and listen to while we ate. The service was decent and the food was just ok. There really is no better place to see such a wonderful site. If the food was better I would have rated it a perfect 5. Good luck !

My husband and I decided to pop into Fort Myers Beach for lunch. We were here on a visit from Atlanta for the weekend and I decided I wanted lunch ‘ocean front’. You cannot beat this location! I had hot wings(yes, I know you’re supposed to order seafood in Florida but had a cravin’), my hubby had the locally sourced grouper sandwich. I decided to order a shared Caesar salad for us both. You know, one homemade chip dipped in blue cheese: and two bites of Caesar salad to fend off the calories, right? Tara our bartender took good care of us, she was managing the ENTIRE bar area so this is no small feat. Live music started about 1p and he is playing Buffett, Zac Brown band, etc. quite fun ;). Tara really hustles! It’s June, it’s hot and these servers are working their tails off.

I was so excited to visit this place, unfortunately I left disappointed. I sat outside and I was unaware that it was turtle season, when it got dark I was unable to see my food. I had a hard time getting my waitress Carries attention to explain what was going on, I wanted her to offer my husband and I a table inside but by the time another employee got a hold of her we were ready to go. She was MIA the whole time, I don’t think it’s the establishment but more the workers. Employees are the face of the company.

Slow service and food was nothing special. Had the: beach bread appetizer– this was good. Mushroom appetizer– this came out with the centers and the mushrooms cold– would not recommend this. I had the ribeye steak– it was missing the onions– unfortunately the waiter came back after we were done eating so I never did receive them. Kids had mozzarella sticks– they liked them.

I think this place gets the traffic because its off the pier… Well… Drinks are cold on a hot day. The food is just ok, and well they just don’t go out of their way to be great? BTW it was Sunday… please and I mean pretty please have a game on? Any game! I swear they were playing«classic» games?!? Really it’s football season… Up your sports package! I think the best part is people watching from a far! Oh sit in the big chair just because it’s the right touristy thing to do! Now seriously, the live music was delightful!
