I have always enjoyed their pizza; especially when I lived in South Beach. I was happy to see they have an outpost here and they deliver pretty late so it seemed a no brainer to choose them(first) as a place to get my pizza craving on. Now I’m sure the pizza is just as good quality and I’m also sure the service is usually pretty on point. But this time I called to receive a rather disconcerting message which went something like, «we only have 1 delivery guy right now and he actually hasn’t shown up to work yet… you should try somewhere else…» I did!

I’ve been coming here on my vacation for over 10 years. The quality of ingredients and available slices has dropped significantly this year, and the crust has changed for the worse. When I went they had 3 varieties of pizza sitting out, none looked particularly fresh. Getting a pizza made fresh was the best option for us, and it was OK at best, nothing to write home about. The interior is the same as it was when it opened: nothing has been updated in years, and the disrepair is showing. Tables are dirty and worn, and I caught my shirt on a piece of metal sticking out from one of the seats. The woman working the counter was friendly, but took her smoke break right outside the door with the manager(? Owner?).

I live across the street and I have ordered from pizza rustica for six years. I would always get the barbecue pizza or really any pie you couldn’t go wrong with they were all delicious. Just ordered the eggplant pie tonight and it was an absolute disaster. The crust tasted like it was frozen and heated up in an old dirty pan. The cheese was dry no flavor completely bland and there was no tomato sauce at all it was just like paste in between the cheese. The crust definitely was not what it used to be and I suspect they may be cutting corners due to new management or ownership. Definitely will not be coming back it’s sad.

We ordered pizza at 6pm less than 3 miles from the establishment and we are still waiting for our pizza at 8pm. We’ve called three times and have been told that the driver was lost, the pizza hadn’t yet been made, and that we’d be called right back(we haven’t been). This place needs to improve their customer service.

Horrible. By far its not the place that it used to be. So sad, they changed the recipe. If you really wanna eat a pizza rustica you gotta drive down to Miami.

Horrible pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza. What arrived was a cross between a frozen pizza and one of those $ 5-pizza place pizzas. Gross.

The guys were very nice but at the end the food wasn’t very good at all. Pizza is amateur, wings were soggy. This is a no.

I’ve been ordering the same gluten– free pizza from them for months. They get my order right, mostly. But the last two times. I got slapped with a minimum order for delivery. You have my cell phone and my email… please let me know when you alter your sub-standard service.

I tried calling in a take out order more than 1 hour before closing and after multiple attempts I gave up. No one answered the phone even after 20+ rings on 3 call backs. I ended up ordering from a pizza chain. I would have much rather had this than the pizza I got. Answer your phone!

Great pizza! Huge slices for a good price. This location only has 22-tops and a 4-top so not great for large groups but excellent to pick up a big slice to take home. Beer and a TV here

DON’T EXPECTTOGETWHATSONMENU Ordered delivery from menu. One item was acceptable; however got a caprese salad which didn’t match menu having no fresh mozzorella and no kalamata olives. The icing on the bad cake was a chicken Parmesan panini which was freezer burned chicken with almost no cheese. I wrote to communicate my experience and got no response back — essentially they ignored me. Will never spend a dime there again! Bad enough food doesn’t match menu; worse to get freezer burned food and unforgivable to ignore a complaint.

I’ve been a customer of this place for a good 10 years, perhaps longer, probably since they’ve been around. They’re dropping the ball. The Fort Lauderdale Pizza Rustica is under new management and I believe that there has been a fairly recent ownership change, as well. This particular franchise of the Pizza Rustica chain is failing. They need to take to heart the old adage, «If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!» They used to have a good thing going. Their crust was the best and that’s extremely important when it comes to pizza. The crust is the foundation of a pizza … if you don’t have a good crust you simply don’t have a good pizza. It doesn’t matter what you top it with if the crust is poor. They seem to have changed either the recipe or the preparation method. Their crust used to be what distinguished their pizza and now, honestly, it is largely the reason why I will no longer be ordering from Pizza Rustica. Apart from that, they have dumbed down their ingredients list to save money. They no longer offer Kalamata Olives, which wouldn’t be a crime as long as they still offered some kind of good quality olives. However, the pizza that I just ordered, their Vegetable Pizza was supposed to have olives, yet it had none. In addition to that, they have always allowed me to substitute mushrooms for onions for no extra charge. These days they have taken to charging me extra for the mushrooms, despite the fact that they’re leaving off the onions which we do not want. This, combined with the crust issue, means that I am now paying more for an inferior product. That’s not a very good business model. Which brings me to the question of staff. The girls who used to work there knew what they were doing. Ordering always went smooth and easy. These days it can be like pulling teeth. The former staff has either been discharged or has quit out of disillusionment. Again, «If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!» I have become increasingly disappointed with Pizza Rustica and now they have lost a long time customer.

Oh my I have not had this type of Pizza in several years… I remember it from Hollywood and when I saw this location I had to give it a try It is small and pretty hidden by the intercoastal but worth finding IMHO The pizza«slice» is huge — more of a meal really and so many unusual combinations I had the«veggie» slice(not too adventurous haha) = it was really delicous The veggies were all fresh and tasty and«generous» It is affordable — perfect to pop in for a quick meal, and for those who work or live in the area a real keeper for take out and delivery. I just wish they had a location out west

We’ve been customers of this Pizza Rustica for over 10 years. I won’t be going back any time soon. Today, I called in an order for 3 slices from a few blocks away. I paid $ 17 for inedible food as it was burnt on the bottom, dry, little sauce and a stale crust. I will not be returning or ordering for delivery even though I continue to live very close by. They are too inconsistent now and the passed 2 orders have been this way. Stay away. Go to Luigi’s or Anthony’s Coal Fire up the road.

I only visit Florida every couple years or so and have enjoyed the pizza at the Miami Beach location. This time I stopped at the Oakland Park Pizza Rustica and was very disappointed. I remember the meatball topping as being very moist and flavorful, this time they were very bland. The pizza crust had a hard, breadstick-like texture and the toppings on the Supreme were skimpy. Will not come back to this location.

We used to go to Pizza Rustica for the thick, delicious crust with a crisp bottom and tons of toppings. That was then and this is now — today the dough was dry and the pizza was not as thick as it used to be — let alone flavorful. The scant amount of cheese just laid there — no gooeyness, no creaminess, no taste. The miniscule amount of sauce didn’t even wet the crust. The only flavor that popped was the arugula on the arugula slice. The plain and funghi slices were just ok — and I’m being generous. On the plus side the counter person seemed very nice. Pizza Rustica what happened?

If you have to feed a kids little league team this may be an option. If you are an adult looking for really good pizza, this is not the place. It really reminded me of a frozen pizza without enough toppings. Not good. On a positive note the service was great and the pizza was cheap. I won’t go back though.
