Training the entire family is our specialty. With our gentle, reinforcing training techniques adults and children can use the same techniques to train their family pet to be a calm, obedient companion.

History

Established in 1997.

In 1997 I started working as a dog behavior consultant at the Western PA Humane Society. My managers there loved my positive approach to changing dog behavior and they created a name tag for me that included a picture of a happy dog and the phrase «Good Dog!» These supportive women launched my career by believing in me and giving my name to people who called the shelter needing help with their dogs. I applied what I learned at dog training and behavior seminars to my work with shelter dogs and I have used this practical experience to create training plans and classes to help people change the behavior of their family pets.

By earning my Master’s of Science degree in Psychology and fulfilling the criteria to become a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the IAABC I learned to apply learning theory to change dog behavior. With this strong background and the understanding of dog behavior that I have gained from working with shelter dogs and my client’s dogs I am able to develop solutions to dog training problems that are based in science and kindness.
