Ideal Donut

Best place ever! I’ve been going here for ten years and it never gets old. Egg and cheese with a coffee or tea!

The service is friendly, the doughnuts are all made in-​house. They also serve breakfast sandwiches. The place is in need of a Reno.

As the other Unilocal have descriptively said, Ideal Donuts is a one stop breakfast shop for all FHHS students. I myself, a graduating member of ’07 have frequented this place enough to some add to the damaged table counters in the place. The orders come out quick and fast. They are always precise. It is always the same workers alternating shifts. They are cool and do a hasty job, especially when im double parked. Prices are cheap, compared to Dunkin Donuts. And like I said, the ice coffee here can definitely rival that of big brand names like Starbucks, DD, or coffee bean. Dont believe me, try it for yourself.

Go to forest hills high school? need breakfast and a place to meet everyone else that goes to FHHS? Go here! When i was in high school this was a pit stop every morning. Looks are deceiving though. When you walk by this place it looks like a closed down donut shop. When you walk into this place it looks like it hasn’t been re modeled in ages (why would they though? with all the high schoolers that destroy the place) but the food is amazing! NOBODY can beat their bacon egg and cheese sandwich! It’s just something you have to try! I don’t drink coffee but according to everyone i know, it’s pretty good! and my favorite was their iced tea which was always pretty good.

I’m giving Ideal Donuts 5 Stars for its good food, speedy service, and most important. their consistency!!! For ever high schooler who’s ever hung out here or bought their egg and cheese on a croissant knows that no matter what day, time, year, or decade you return for that sandwich, it will forever remain the same. Inside appearance still remains the same even after probably decades of business service on that corner. But like they say, if it works, don’t chance it.
They have award winning ice coffee that cannot be replicated! And anyone I know can vouch for that. And their egg and cheese on a croissant is off the chain. Although it may be slightly microwaved lol.

The coffee is like water.
So so weak. No taste at all.
The place is very dirty.
Has not been painted or cleaned for 30 years.
Not a pleasant donut shop.

My parents are 2 out of 4 family members who work at this little bakery. Everything is made fresh, from the moment they wake up at 4 AM to 7PM when they get off of work. They are both friendly and hard working on and off from work. The place may not look like much but theur service rivals none and you can always trust the freshness of their donuts and coffee.

Been coming here for years!!! Everything is made fresh. Short simple menu but everything is perfected.

The donuts are more like little pastries. Delicious little pastries. A fraction of the cost of Dunkin Donuts, but a much more satisfying donut. The shop is not much to look at, but those savings are passed along to me, the customer. Hooray for Ideal Donuts

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It was not very good, in fact it was down right bad.
The eggs were cooked in THE MICROWAVE! That is a complete turnoff to me.

Been going here for years, great service and good food.

When I walked into this place, my first reaction was– its pretty bare bones. It almost looks like they’re about to close. There are displays not being used for anything. Kinda creepy. They definitely should consider renovating.
I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and only got egg and cheese. It’s cool– maybe they didn’t have bacon or forgot entirely– but it was still tasty. I also had a donut which was very good.
The service was great with both people manning the front being very pleasant.
The only thing that would deter me from visiting regularly is the group of high schoolers that seem to find this donut shop a cool place to hang out.

Good donuts and pretty cheap!

I don’t have any strong opinions about this place, but I will say this: their coffee is actually pretty good (contrary to other reviewer). I wish they carried bagels!

Have stopped by here several times to fill my tummy a bit before heading into Monya & Misha across the street. Not particularly good, but it’s dangerous to go to the Russian store with an empty belly, so we do what we must do to keep our wallets intact… or somewhat intact. Good side: it’s pretty cheap, and not terrible. Bad side: the coffee is probably the worst in the entire world. Yes, the entire world. I mean it.
