History

Established in 1968.

USSD is the largest martial arts school in North America. Since 1968, our students have studied USSD’s unique system of Kempo-​style martial arts from the finest instructors in the United States. From the earliest beginnings nearly 2000 years ago, the martial arts have been steeped in tradition. Nowhere else will you feel that sense of rich history than at a USSD studio.

Welcome to USSD Foothill Ranch! My name is Anthony C. and I started training in the Martial Arts in early 2000 with United Studios Of Self Defense. Ever since I was a young child I have always been fascinated with Martial Arts, the discipline, history and over all culture. Training with United Studios I really had a sense that this is school where I really wanted to be, first to learn the Martial Arts but most importantly to be apart of something bigger than myself. At United Studios I was family and my Sensei’s really showed that to me and taught me the most valuable of Principles and lessons in life. Today I have the opportunity to share my experiences and well as knowledge to the next generation of students whom I know will have a great impact in our community but also in the world for years to come!
