Foothill Ranch Eye Care Optometry

Trying to get an appointment at this place was a very strange and unpleasant experience for me. A few months ago I went to their website and requested an appointment. I was contacted that same day to discuss the details about the appointment but forgot some information about my insurance. The woman I was talking to told me to text her the information once I figured it out. This immediately made me have second thoughts about this place. I think texting any medical office my personal medical information is very unprofessional. I’m not sure if this is becoming a common practice, but I hope not.
I called in later that week WITH THE SAME NUMBER that the woman used to call me with all my insurance information, ready to confirm an appointment. Somehow this number calls Eye Care West Optometry OC, an optometrist office right next door to this place. I have no idea how this happened. I have never called Eye Care West Optemetry OC before so there was no way I had their number stored in my phone. I called twice to make sure I didn’t make a mistake redialing, but the same thing happened both times. I quickly realized that I called on Wednesday, which is one of the days they are closed, but that still doesn’t explain what happened. It was seriously magic.
The next week I call twice. Both times I used the number on the website to make sure I had the right place. The first time no one picked up (I made sure I called during business hours) so I left a message. I waited for two days for a follow up but no one from the office responded so I called again. I tried to make an appointment on the day I asked for before but the woman I was talking to said that day was not available because the doctor was not in town that week. At that point I thought it was too much trouble to make an appointment here so I looked for a different place.

Dr. Collins was very knowledgeable and friendly. This office provides exceptional service and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for Eye Care.

Dr Collins is very knowledgeable and thorough. Teri the optometrist is very nice and helpful. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend. Frame selection seems rather limited, but I found something that works — just for computer use with Gunnar yellow, boy are they yellow. Do seem to help with eye strain.
Location is in back building closest to the toll road and upstairs.

I needed my daughter to have an eye exam and I didn’t want to go just any where as this was her first real eye exam. I needed someone I could trust. I had heard about Dr. Collins and decided to make an appointment. Well, she was amazing! She took her time, was thorough and performed every test and explained everything as she was doing it. My daughter felt so comfortable there. I am so grateful for Dr. Collins caring way she handles her patients and we will now have her as our family optometrist. I cannot recommend her enough. Her care is what you always want from a doctor but seem to never find sadly. You will feel so safe with her and your (and your loved ones) eyes! :-)
