Clarion Inn Airport

The only good thing was the Breakfast. There was no one at the front desk when I went to check in, I had to wait 15 minutes before someone showed up to check me in. The indoor pool was not available and I was told when I made the reservations that it would be. The room doors would not unlock right, we had to call the front desk and have maintenance come down to unlock the doors twice. Then we were charged $ 80.25 for linens for a sofa bed that apparently went missing when we did not even use it. Not at all happy with the experience. Do not recommend at all.

The star rating on this airport clarion is too high. This is max a 2 to 2 ½ star establishment. It used to be a Holiday inn. They routinely double and triple their prices when it suits them to do so. Fall holidays etc. the TV volume was set too low & couldn’t be adjusted. The air conditioner knob wouldn’t adjust. There were Potholes in the only entrance. The indoor pool had no water in it. Only one elevator on the far end away from all. The only good points were a fairly clean room & decent breakfast.

So based on the price I would have expected accommodations along the lines of a Hilton or Marriott brand hotel, this was definitely not the case. You are strictly paying for the fact that you are so close to the airport. The room accommodations were that of an economy hotel, again not quite to the standards of price actually paid ($ 100 plus for the night). I did not eat the breakfast so I cannot comment on the quality of it. This hotel is significantly more expensive but is of the same quality as the Econo Lodge across the street. Do your self a favor and save your money and stay at the Econo Lodge instead of the Clarion. (They are both a Choice Hotels brand)

The beds were amazing, tavern grill was good, hotel a little dated. Would stay again.

Had a great three night stay. I hated that the washer machine was broken; however, had a good resturant connected to it and the breakfast isn’t bad. The indoor pool is excellent for the winter time. The price was great as well. Only 30 minutes tops drive to Biltmore House and only 2O minute drive to the outlet mall. Best part it is only 8 miles from the Sierra Nevada brewery.

I must say I had a very pleasant experience here. Very nice clean rooms nice lobby great restaurant right on premises and the staff was friendlier than I could’ve ever expected. Very accommodating to the fact that I had a broken ankle and gave me a room right next to the door. Definitely can’t beat the price for what this hotel was. Would definitely return again!

I came to Asheville for a Spartan race. I stayed a this hotel It was a bit far from my race site, but it was worth it. The room were clean and the bed super comfortable (trust me you need a great bed after running 8+ miles in the mountains) They had a free buffet breakfast with tons of fresh fruits, cereals and hot items like biscuits and gravy which was phenomenal. The best part is that they have a great restaurant in the hotel. The 550 Tavern and Grille have a great menu and beer selection. They have fun events and music going on at any giving day. I got great service and great food I couldn’t ask for more. I will definitely come back for my next Spartan race.

Maybe 2 and a half for the pretty lobby and bedspreads but that’s it! The walls need painting, the buggy to pull your luggage was dragging and hard to push… no bell hop. Then I go to run in the «fitness center» and the treadmill is knocking. Just when I start to wonder if it’s even safe, the poor dude in the room (with thin walls) next to the fitness center comes in grumpy asking me to turn it off because he can’t sleep. I felt so bad! Who plans a guest room next to a workout room? When I tried to switch to another machine… out of order! Shocker. No way this is the 4 star hotel Priceline said was equivalent to Hilton! Pass!

Spent. A week here for work. It is ok, not worth the price. Everything is old. Maid service is lousy. If you have a choice go somewhere else.

Quite enjoyed staying here. Vert comfortable, clean bed. Interesting people in the attached bar. One good bartender. One dummy. Competent, though slow, folks at the counter. Score a room for less than a hundred bucks and you are golden.

This Clarion offered all the things i go to a hotel for at a reasonable price: free reliable airport shuttle, free parking, comfortable pillowtop bed, variety of pillows, clean roomy bathroom, soft thirsty towels, shower with good water pressure, free fast internet, large tv with options, outlets on the desklamp so that i don’t have to search to plug in, room to move around, coffee maker, hair dryer. Once in a while you get the extras that THIS hotel has: Fridge in the room, sprawling hot breakfast, indoor AND outdoor pool, 24 hour front desk with nice and helpful staff, attached restaurant and lounge, 24 hour snack store. Their own reward system can get you to free rooms faster than
, so i’m hoping there are other hotels in this brand chain that i can stay in when i travel as good as this one. Enjoy!

Clarion Inn Airport is revamping… which is much needed! My room had a fresh paint smell and appeared clean, tidy and inviting. It will be interesting to see what this place will look like after all the work is finished!

Well, not my normal style of hotel but when your airline cancels your flight, what’s a girl to do?
Surprisingly enough this place is pretty good. My airline had given me a voucher for this hotel so off I went. The front desk staff was welcoming and apologetic even though my problem was from the airline and not the hotel. My room was large, functional and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was free internet and in room coffee. There was even a mini refrig and microwave in my room.
And if you like to swim– I was surprised to see both and indoor and outdoor pool! And even more surprising? There were lounge chairs and tables and chairs like you might find at a better hotel on the pool deck!
If there was a missing item– it was easy access to power outlets. I had to crawl under the desk to unplug a lamp to get to a power source. Surely in this day and age plugs should be easy to access!
There is also a pretty decent bar attached to the hotel, 550 Tavern, where you can watch just about any game, chat with an affable bartender or eat some food. They even made a pretty good martini and judging by the drinks around me– I’m guessing they don’t a lot of requests for them.
Again– the Clarion chain of hotels is not on my usual «go to» list. But after this experience, I may just have to rethink that!
