Express Alterations

I got a pair of pants altered and they did a great job. 8 bucks is hard to beat. My only issue is that they charged my card twice. I called and was told to come back in for a refund but only if I had the receipt. I got my money back but will definitely bring cash next time!
My fiancé got her wedding dress altered here too. They did a wonderful job. They charged half what she was quoted at the dress shop! Thanks

This was a terrible experience. Convenience brought me in the door, quality and service would have brought me back; I will not be going back.
I had simple suspender buttons put on 3 pairs of trousers that should have been done by 3pm. At 5pm they had barely been started. I was asked to wait in the lobby while they were completed. 30 minutes late I walked out the door with my pants.
When I was charged, I brought up a price discrepancy between my charge and what was listed on the website. For bringing this up I was treated as if I were scamming the business. The lady was extremely rude and unwilling to recognize that either the price on the website, or the price I was charged was incorrect.
After finally leaving the establishment and examining the work done on the simple buttons placed into my pants, I noticed that the work was sloppy and poor quality. The buttons were not evenly spaced (some 5 inches apart, some 2 inches apart). The threading of the buttons were not even (some were quadruple stitched, which I would prefer for extra stability and strength, and others had as few as one loop through the button hole. I am waiting on the single stitched buttons to pop off). And finally, the vertical placement on the buttons is inconsistent and in some cases incorrect causing the suspenders to connect and pull underneath the waistband resulting in a waistband that doesn’t lay smooth.
As I was waiting multiple other customers walked in the door to pick-​up clothing and stood there without assistance for the entire time I waited.
My pants were an obvious rushed effort. Under normal circumstances I would take my items back and inquire about them, but after the rudeness that came with the price discrepancy I do not see myself going back. Sewing on buttons should be the simplest and easiest thing an alterations service can do, but in this case it was a last minute scramble that resulted in poor work.
Make your own decision, but I will not be returning.

Loved my experience at express alterations. I brought in 4 dresses and 1 pair of pants — I know a lot! — and they whipped through pinning on each and got my husband and I out of there fast. I don’t know a thing about alterations and appreciated their recommendations on where to take in and how much. They all look great! I was also lucky enough to work with Hannah earlier this year and she did amazing work on my wedding dress — which is not a small task! She made several recommendations on length, back buttons, waist, etc. The dress initially came with a corset which I wanted taken out in the back. I had to order the dress 4x the size and you would have no idea looking at it on my wedding day! Highly recommend!

Took 7 pairs of pants for various alteration and they accommodated all requests. Turn around time is usually less than 1 week which is nice. The staff is helpful and hard working. We are lucky to have this tailor so close to home.

First time here. Had a leather coat that the zipper had broken, I was ready to get get ride of coat. They replaced the broken zipper, I can’t tell that the zipper has been replaced, coat is good as new. Price was reasonable and cheaper than other places, coat was done when they promised. Had another coat that I enjoyed wearing, the pockets had worn out. I purchased material with their recommendation as I did not want the silk material they offered. It was also done when they promised. They even gave me a discount for bringing in my material. Greatly appericated.
Quality of work is AWSOME. It was finished when promised! Great job!

First time here, I was picking up a skirt my wife had dropped off.
The staff was very friendly and from my observations of the customers ahead of me the really knew what they were doing.
The location is very convenient for drop off and pick up.
Had a great interaction with this establishment and will come back here in the future.

I have used this alterations place twice, and never again! Both trips I told them to complete the work on their schedule, but I came to pick up this last time and it was not complete… four days after the expected time. I was asked to wait while they helped another customer, and then proceeded to help two others who came after me. The first trip I asked for several things including sewing a breast pocket lining back together, which did not get completed and had to be returned. The second trip they did not hem the inseam correctly for a suit pants, and I returned and asked them to just cuff them since that would be simple. They did not have them done, completed while I waited but without the cuff… just a a plain hem. Poor quality and poor customer service!!!

If i could give less stars i would! Terrible job on my daughters homecoming dress! Charged $ 85 because it had beading… then had to wait 2 hrs after it was supposed to be done because they had to take it out over an inch and redo beading! Terrible customer service… Awful seamstress work! I will NEVER come back and will make it my mission that no one else i know comes here!

Express indeed. I took a pair of dress pants in at 4PM today and left the shop with perfectly hemmed pants at 4:30PM! The staff was very friendly and accommodating; moreover, you can’t beat the price, especially considering the last minute need. I will be back with my alteration needs given how close they are to where I live and providing a great first-​time experience.

I called this place to get a estimate on how much they charged just a few minutes ago, because I have about 10 people needing alterations. She was extremely rude, unkind and unhelpful. The ton in her voice has made me not even want to come here and i am taking my business elsewhere. Surely, she could’ve been more kind, I ‘m sure she couldn’t give me an exact price I was only looking for a range to taper waist in a few dresses. I will never recommend this company to anyone especially if this lady is still working here. Not good for business at all.

This was my first tailoring experience, ever. I knew that you can’t just drop something off and pick it up an hour later. And I’m a poor planner. I have a jersey (two, actually, so I still have another) that needed altered. I normally don’t think about it until it’s too late (actually, I suppose I’ll admit to not washing it until it’s time that I need it– Every two to three weeks or so. It really just depends. Sometimes it hangs out in my basement). Then bam– It’s game day, and I am swimming in my jersey.
I Unilocaled for some alterations places, and I couldn’t find anything. I googled «same day alterations,» and I found Express Alterations. And to my luck, it was right down the street from our lunch reservations and from our sports facility. Score!
I had called Express Alterations, and they told me they would need about three hours. When I got there, they told me they could have it done in two. The guy at the counter was very friendly, fast and energetic. He talked to me about soccer (his favorite sport). He got me in and out quickly and told me I could come back in as early as two hours if I wanted to.
I came in probably three hours later, he had my jersey all ready to go, and it fit very well!
