Insight Pest Solutions

After reading great (mostly) reviews, I called Insight to recommend them to a customer of mine. I asked the person who answered the phone if they service Federal Way. He didn’t answer my question. He asked for my address. I was reluctant to give one of my customer’s addresses to him so I asked again if they serve Federal Way. He said that is why he asked for the address so he could see if its in their service area. I said look, you either serve Federal Way or you don’t. You don’t just serve part of it. I don’t want to give you my customer’s address. He said they do serve Federal Way. I asked for a manager and he said no one was there at this time. I will go elsewhere to find a company to refer to my customers.

These guys know what’s up. I have worked with lots of different pest control companies in the past, and these guys go above and beyond. The Owner is so willing to work with you, he makes sure to hire the best technicians. No company will do more than these guys, and I’m not just saying this. Go with these guys. Seriously.

Matt, our service manager, arrived spot on time, and was warm, professional and very helpful. He explained all the critters that were addressed by the spraying they do (pretty much everything except a couple exceptions we don’t have problems with), and what they could do in the future if we had a recurrence of sugar ants (like we did last summer).
He graciously took care of everything we needed, including two suspended decks, then finished up around the exterior house perimeter. We didn’t need interior services at this time, but they are available.
Afterwards, he came to the door to let us know what he saw while spraying, and what he did — and what we could do in the future– to address the problem areas.
Matt was the perfect professional, and represents Insight Pest Solutions well. We signed up for the annual program as a result of our experience with him and what the company offers.

So here’s an update, as you can see that I wasn’t very pleased from my first experience with this company. After I had wrote a review on my first experience with this company, I was contacted by the Manager Matthew (Matt) He was very kind and very apologetic for what had happened. I really appreciate when company’s reach out and try to fix things that went wrong, so I really appreciated that. He sent out not ONE, but TWO technicians back to my house and they both were so helpful and kind. They answered all of my questions and concerns and then some. This was about two months ago and they did a great job! Ever since then, my family and I have not seen a single tick or gotten a single bite! So I just want to say thank you Matt and to the two technicians that came out to my house. I appreciate the effort and the work you guys put in. I will definitely continue to keep in contact with this company and I definitely recommend this company to anyone who is having out of control pests problems, and if you want knowledgable and really kind people that are willing to help you.

First of all, I was late and forgot all about the appointment until my service tech called wondering where I was. Mike Hurst couldn’t have been more gracious! While we were on the phone he said he’d get started on the crawl space inspection and luckily I work fairly close by and was able to jet home. This was my first visit and Mike did a great job explaining what he was going to do and then went about it his business. He was funny too and since I signed up for quarterly service (and I live in a smaller town) he’ll most likely be my tech throughout the year. I like the idea of consistent service with the same person, especially one that didn’t bust my chops when I made a mistake and said my crawl space was the best he’d been in all day. (I bet he says that to all his customers — but still)
Side note: I also appreciate that Insight has later appointments that worked with my schedule and that I was able to save 10% by paying for the entire year upfront.

Michel Hurst was my service technician today. He was very professional and very quick to detail. When he arrived, I was sitting in my car due to the bees or should I say yellow jacks that were taking over my den area. My upstairs neighbors have beautiful flowers on their deck that have lured these suckers in my space too. They found a small hole and traveled inside my home.
I was so afraid of Mr Hurst going out on my deck unprotected. After observing the problem, he went to get his space gear. Thank God he was protected-​over a thousand bees hovered over him. He was able to flood the bees out, exterminate them and plug up the hole. He instructed me on my clean up detail – there are lots of yellow jacks. I am terrified of bees! Im so grateful there is a service to help with these type of problems. I am even more pleased that someone like Micheal Hurst works for this company. He was very considerate of my fears and informed me to call if there were any additional problems. I am informing my neighbors to utilize this company and ask for Michael Hurst if they have any pest problems.

I was referred to insight pest solutions by an old coworker and I plan to refer them to all my pest fearing friends as well!
I talked to Shawn on the phone about our spider problems on a Wednesday and he was able to fit me into the schedule that Saturday! The sooner the better, since we’ve been finding large spiders on a daily basis in our house.
I tried spraying around my house with some stuff from Home Depot, but that did nothing! Time to call professionals!
Shawn arrived around 12:30 (we were given a window of 12:30 — 2:30), walked through the inside and outside of the house and then got right to work within minutes, spraying the foundation, under the eaves of the house and inside the house! He said the pests should be all gone in a couple days and if they do come back before the next spray in three months they will come back and spray again! He said we may have rats/​mice in our crawl space so he set some traps for that as well! Our house is about 1000sq ft, and the whole thing took about an hour!
We signed up for a year of service (every three months) and since we’re renting, Shawn said we could transfer service to the new house if we move! Woo hoo!
Very reasonably priced, I was thinking it would cost us a small fortune to handle these spiders but totally worth it! And it was fast and easy! I will keep you all updated on how well it works!

We are new customers with Insight Pest Solutions and we are very happy with the excellent care and service they provide. Technician Mike had a tall order. We had a family of hornets move into our vegetable garden a couple of weeks ago and we tried to remove them using over-​the-​counter products. No success. However Mike came prepared and in no time he had a huge colony on their bees-​knees because he was able to get to the queen. Mike also took care of our general house maintenance, did a very thorough job. He arrived on time, did the work and was very professional. Thank you Insight Pest Solutions!

We found Insight on Angie’s List and so glad we did! Mike Hurst and his assistant Dakota came out within the two hour window. They quickly went to work and finished within a half an hour. Mike was open to answering any and all questions we had. They were very thorough and we decided to do the quarterly treatment to prevent spiders and such. I would definitely recommend Insight to other homeowners in the Thurston County Area!!!

Used Insight for the first time and Jakobe Swenson was professional and friendly. Went above and beyond what he needed to do. Very happy with this company and especially Jakobe! Can’t go wrong with this company.

Ever since I moved into my home I have waged war each spring with a million little odorous ants that would crawl into my kitchen via the outlets (??), behind the stove and various other places. One warm spring day last year I came into the kitchen in the morning to find my countertop literally swarming with them — you probably heard my shriek of outrage (it doesn’t matter where you live — that’s how mad and loud I was). This spring out of desperation I got in contact with Insight and spoke with Matt, who was very helpful and pleasant and set us up with an appointment to come out and spray.
Our tech Scott came out (he was a little late but as he himself said, it’s because he wants to do a thorough job instead of a fast job — which I definitely appreciate), listened to all our concerns, walked around the house with us and within 10 minutes of being at our home identified the likely nest of the ants. Seriously. (And 8 of those minutes were spent listening to me rail on about how much I hated ants and wanted to implement a scorched earth policy against them).
I have them set up as a yearly appointment so time will tell if they were actually able to eradicate these little buggers (no pun intended) but I feel very confident given that they will come back out for free anytime (after the first 2 weeks, where the bait and poison will be working). Of course, Scott also sprayed for spiders and removed the wasp nests that were dangling from our eaves (this makes my home sound derelict, I swear it’s not), but my main concern is (was?) the ants so pretty much everything else is just gravy. Also worth noting: Scott was a pleasure to work with and had a great sense of humor and very patient with all our questions and concerns (because some people come in your house, mumble hello and then immediately disappear). We’ll definitely be requesting him for our next visit!

I had a horrible experience with another pest control company and when the technician from insight pest solutions came her was extremely thorough and made sure I knew that if any of the rodents or ants came back to call them and they will come out as many times as necessary free of charge. They have great prices and cover everything I could think of. The technician was pleasant and explained everything he was doing. I will definitely recommend them.

Insight has been doing my pest solutions for over a year. Every time they come out they are courteous and professional. They have even came back and retreated the area when I had some wasps that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Their product works. Scott who services the fife neighborhood was very friendly and funny, and his service manager Matt was very informative, they both seemed to love their job. Every time I have called in the people over the phone are efficient and nice. I would recommend to everyone.

We had Insight come to our home to spray for spiders and ants this week. They were efficient in explaining the process of de-​webbing, spraying, and spreading. Our home was de-​webbed, cleaned, dusted, sprayed and problem areas were treated. The technician took the time to explain the effectiveness and safety of materials being used. He also placed a rat trap to see if we have any problems in that area, because we all know whether we talk about it or not, that Gig Harbor has a big rat problem!!!
He also informed me of Insight’s ability to take care of moles if needed, another of the Pacific Northwests obvious problems…
Thank you Insight for a professional job at competitive prices. I look forward to a pest free Spring. I will be referring you to my friends and neighbors.

Super professional and thorough service! The tech asked questions to know if there were any problems inside with spiders, ants or mice. He made sure to tell me my dog and cat would not be affected by the treatment.
In addition to the outside foundation spraying, he de-​cobwebbed the eaves and dusted them with insecticide. He even came into the garage and de-​cobwebbed there and sprayed the inside foundation. I appreciated this extra touch as my garage is a spider haven. The tech also took care of the outbuildings on the property with the same foundation and eaves treatment.
He left a bait box outside for rats and mice. He checked out my mole holes and told me what treatment would be applied if the moles became active again. He also told me that the insecticide treatment would help with the mole problem by killing off the moles’ food source.
I will definitely keep up with the recommended quarterly treatment schedule. I highly recommend this company.

Have called back now (3) times, still waiting on my refund. Was first told they would refund my debit card, then was told they cant get that to work so they would send out a check in the next day or two. Owner called me and asked what he could do to make things right, I said just get me my money that you took. He said he would send a check out, well here we are almost a month after my first Unilocal review with no funds on my card refunded and no check in the mail. Wonder what today’s excuse will be? WHAT A JOKE, AMAZES ME THAT THIS COMPANY STAYS IN BUSINESS WITH SHITTY CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THIS. UNBELIEVEABLE.
