The fried rice here is really good! A few years ago I got the general tsaos from here and it was freaking amazing! My husband and I went today and he got the general tsaos chicken with rice, salad, and egg rolls. He loved the chicken but it did have too much vinegar. Rice was good as always and the egg rolls were perfect. Salad dressing was a bit watery other than that t was good

This was decent teriyaki. I ordered the short rib and chicken combo $ 13.99. Pricy but you actually get a lot of meat. However the chicken is dry. Usually thigh meat isn’t normally dry. It taste like its been cooked earlier then microwaved when needed. I heard the microwave open, closed and go for about a minute. It still tasted decent enough to stretch 4 stars(3.75) quantity also helped this rating. Taste was a solid 3.

Small family owned business with good customer service and good food. What more can you ask for? The cashier woman is can give off a scary demeanor but she’s friendly. The chicken is good and the sauce isn’t overly sweet or salty. The salad dressing is pretty good as well and overall, it is a pretty good teriyaki experience. The prices as well are pretty good for what you get and you’ll be satisfied with your meal!

The teriyaki here is amazing! It is one of the BEST places in my opinion. The reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of the lady that works there. She is always rude and grumbling under her breath. She glares at everyone and gives this mean look to everyone like they are dirty or something. The other workers there are nice and make delicious food.

Every single time I’m here i have the same experience: The hostess/cashier/server lady Never smiles. Always looks angry and makes u feel like she is mad at you for something. The food is extremely good and cooked to perfection every single time. The portions are huge every single time. The food is just amazing EVERYSINGLETIME!!! The prices are very good for the amount of food you get!!! I love this place, I can say this is the best teriyaki place in federal way. And their secret white sauce is to die for!!!

Our go to teriyaki spot in Federal Way. We love their beef teriyaki. One complaint is that the lady never smiles and always looks angry.

We really enjoy the food but always get it to go. The servers are not overly friendly and service seems forced. GOODFOODTOGO!

I did not know what to expect at first due to its location(and the 2 other asian places next to it) but my bowl of teriyaki was really good. I had the veggies with it and not doing that again– it got in the way of the delicious perfectly cooked(not hard) chicken that awaited my pallet… Mmm definitely coming back for a plate instead!

I have been searching for a really good teriyaki joint in the area. Came to Unilocal, searched reviews, and found Ichi. What the heck, I’ll try it! And I’m happy I did! Called in and ordered a spicy chicken plate, the teriyaki chicken plate, short ribs plate and a side of gyozas. The lady on the phone was polite and got my order correct the first time around. Came to a little under 40.00. Not bad for all that food. The spicy chicken was very good, lots of white meat and had great flavor and was cooked with veggies as well. My friend agreed and really enjoyed his teriyaki chicken. The ribs were awesome and tender. Yum. Each plate had 2 large scoops of rice and a side salad with sesame dressing — YUM. The gyozas were crispy and still very hot by the time I got to the house so I know they were cooked fresh. Plus they cut the corners off the box to vent out steam so they stay crunchy, very smart thinking! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back to Ichi

The food is pretty good but the lady who takes your order is very rude and unpleasant. So unpleasant, that I will not be going there anymore. It really detracts from my appetite to be treated that way. There are a lot of teriyaki places to choose from and ones that appreciate your business; who will greet you consistently with a smile and a thank you. This is not one of them.

Best Teriyaki in the area. Chicken and Gyoza combo is the way to go. Awesome family owned restaurant that never disappoints in providing great food.

I’m confused by the poor reviews. I’ve been eating here for years. I’m always disappointed when they are closed(Monday I think). Fast, friendly, large portions and delicious!

Western WA loves its teriyaki and there are all kind of little mom and pop shops everywhere you go… I love teriyaki and have tried many of them. I honestly don’t recall eating any really bad teriyaki… It’s kind of like cold pizza. even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good. Still, the quality and flavor does vary from place to place. from ‘Meh’ to ‘Wow’… I’d rate Ichi Teriyaki way closer to Wow than Meh… It’s clean. Service is good. Prices are reasonable. Sauce is sweet. Taste is good… Despite there being a dozen other teriyaki joints withing walking distance of Ichi Teriyaki this is the place I keep coming back to… A good place to get your teriyaki fix.

Ordered udon here and there should be a flavor to the broth. Taste like water. Noodles weren’t even udon noodles and they were under cooked. Waste of $ 8.00. Regret giving a 20% tip.

Best Teriyaki EVER! For vegetarians too! I used to come here all the time when I lived in Federal Way and wish there was a Ichi Teriyaki in Florida! Will continue to come here every time I visit home.

My chicken is cut up into small pieces, flavorless and spongy. I’m scared!!! It actually tastes old. The lady working in the front looks angry and is very antisocial. No hi how are you, no smile, no thank you. There are far too many teriyaki places to go to to not have to put up with bad customer service.

Since moving up to the Northwest… I was intrigued by what seemed like this endless fascination with Teriyaki? Seems like there is a Teriyaki joint in every corner up here??? Actually I think awhile back while waiting in a Dr. office there was a magazine article stating how Teriyaki was actually started up here in the Northwest. I’m still not sure how true that is. but maybe it is considering how many joints I see around EVERYWHERE!!! lol Well anyway, after being up here for a few years now. I’ve yet to actually find a legit place that I can say I can rave about til we came here tonight! We had just got done shopping at Trader Joe’s and even tho we bought groceries… I was feeling kind of blah to the whole cooking thing and as we were driving away I saw the sign. Ichi Teriyaki! Wait a sec… does that sign say ITCHY Teriyaki? Sorry. obviously. I’m still a child and very easily amused!!! After my hilarity and laughing hysterically at myself wore off… I look over at the dude and ask. what to give them a try? Sure! We walked in and sure enough there was people already dining inside! That’s a good sign! I looked up at the menu and while it’s rather small it seemed to offer exactly what you’d expect. Teriyaki everything, Yakisoba and Fried Rice even! I walked to the counter to place our order to go which consisted of T-1 Chicken Teriyaki($ 6.99), C-8 Chicken & Katsu($ 9.50), Y-1 Chicken Yakisoba($ 7.50) and an order of Gyoza 10 pieces(($ 4.25). While the lady who took the order wasn’t super friendly she was all about business and getting it done. After I placed our order there was even more people coming in who were either eating in or picking up. Again that’s a good sign even if the lady in the front counter wasn’t so friendly. We got our food pretty quickly too, maybe in 10 minutes or so after. She walked it over to us and actually thanked us, so hey all is not lost here! The car ride home with the wonderful aromas of the food in their containers just made us all the more hungry! We were hot boxing it at a different level here. When we got home we were all ready to devour the sh*t out of everything. I guess our order also consisted of 2 side salads that I had not noticed on the menu board. While the salad mix itself was nothing out of the ordinary, the dressing was delicious! It was nice and creamy with a slight hint of sweetness! I want to say it had a soy/sesame taste to it, it was yummy! The Chicken Yakisoba was packed with broccoli, zucchini, carrots, onions and was cooked perfectly, the Chicken Teriyaki, Katsu and Gyoza was delicious. The Gyozas were plump and had meat filling with every bite. The Tonkatsu Sauce that came with the Katsu was very flavorful and I have to say better than L & L’s. Last but not least, the Teriyaki was pretty awesome! The chicken was moist and tender and had just the right amount of char. She had packed our take out order very nicely and included utensils and napkins! That might not seem much to think about but how many times have you picked up a take out order where they forget those little things like napkins or utensils? I’m stoked to find place close to home where I can get my Teriyaki fix that’s pretty legit!

Just what I wanted! Had the«super combo» which included chicken and beef teriyaki, pan fried gyoza, white sticky rice, and green salad. The plate was huge and the food was very tasty. Not a fancy, or even«nice» looking restaurant, but don’t be scared. If you’re hungry and want some grub that will fill you up, but not weigh you down this is it. I’ll be back to try some of their other plates — glad I popped in.

Loved this place. I’ll keep going back. I always get the same thing, the chicken katsu and even the salad is good to me. My only complaint is when I went in(my hubby usually goes in) the lady just walked up to the counter… no smile, no «hi», no «what can i get for you».just stood there. So i told her i wanted katsu. errrr Always have taken it to go and it was quick. I’ll go back! I’ll just send my hubby in. :-)
