Barry is a native of Humboldt county and has been in the construction business for more than 20 years. In 1993 he founded Barry Smith Construction and has grown his business into the premier remodeling companies in the area. In January he was recognized as the Eureka Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the year for 2011 in recognition of his integrity, participation in the community, and positive business practices. Barry is active in local community programs and has been a supporter of youth activities in the area for many years.
