We are a local business offering secure document shredding services to our community. To us being local is much more than having a physical address in Humboldt County. Being local means treating each customer as a member of our local community and seeking out local vendors to keep the dollars we spend here.

We have developed a relationship with Humboldt Community Access and Resource Center (HCAR), a local nonprofit dedicated to creating connections to the community for people with developmental disabilities, in filling the positions we have available. Every possible position is filled by an individual with developmental disabilities. These employment opportunities offer individuals long term employment and training along with learning the daily living skills many of us take for granted.

The employment of those with developmental disabilities is not done at the expense of security or safety. There is always a supervisor present to make sure confidentiality is maintained and that eve

Established in 2009.

We have been serving the Humboldt community since 2009. We received green business of the year in April 26,2013. On that same day we had the Grand Opening of our new facility in Eureka.

Kyle Visser and Natalie Visser are both lifetime Humboldt county residents who started Shred Tec based on a need they observed in their community. They strive to offer shredding and courier services with the most convenience, ethics, and affordable rates possible. Their passion is serving the local community and keeping the planet green while doing it!
