Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park

This was our first time at Jellystone as well as using our popup camper. The customer service was amazing! From the moment we arrived people were around to help even when we didn’t think we needed it. They helped use back in and park our popup (priceless). When we asked where to dump grey water they took our container and emptied it for us. Our 5 and 7 year old boys loved the staff led activities and of course seeing Yogi and Boo Boo! Made for a great family getaway. We will definitely be back!

Second experience at a jellystone. The one in texas we went to at spring break had more specific activities each day; but that one wasn’t next to a beautiful national park. So the level of activities was fine for us. Seemed like the prettiest rv park in Estes. as compared to others we saw as we drove around the area. Pleasant staff. Pool was clean, facilities clean. Grounds well cared for. Given that many people are in RMNP during the day; would suggest this jellystone park have an evening hay ride and earlier flag raising and more opportunities to meet yogi, booboo and Cindy either early or later; as well as more late afternoon activities during the week days.. Lazer tag, games, etc. Liked that a staff member helped us maneuver our rv into place.

This was our second visit and we loved it as much as the first. Clean wooded campsites and bathrooms with hot showers, friendly staff, fun activities! We are going to miss Yogi this winter, but we’ll be back!

This was a nice place… especially for kids. Average size camp site with nice distance between sites. Bathrooms are well kept and staff is super friendly. Great location as it is close to downtown estes. Highway noise is a little loud but all in all a nice place to stay but i do think its a little overpriced.

Clean bathrooms, really small pool, a couple playground areas, basic spots that are kinda small but that’s fairly common for this area, grounds kept up pretty well, yogi in costume, putt putt golf, nice staff, cute cabins, no pet fee, military disc, decent for a campground. I’d come back

Without a doubt one of the best family friendly camp sites out there. The staff works very hard to make sure that the area is clean and the guests have what they need. My kids had a blast between the activities, pool, and play grounds. I even got a free breakfast on Father’s Day!

Outstanding two night stay here. We have two smaller children and were looking for a place to keep them entertained a bit but still have a camping experience to test the waters. Jellystone delivered!!. We had a tent site which was quite large with a nice sized fire ring (some were smaller), big tent pad (we have a 10′ X 11″ tent), and pic-​i-​nic table. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the entire place was very clean. The kids were kept busy with some fun games throughout the day and they were able to experience camping for the first time with some nicer amenities. We were not the only ones having a good time, everyone had smiles on their faces! We will be back.

I was traveling alone and felt a family friendly place would be safer for a single woman. It is not the «roughing it» kind of camping experience that I am used to and I certainly did not expect it to be. I expected RV’s and such, but I would suggest that any tent campers AVOID THIS PLACE.
I give it one star because the only thing nice I can say is that it had good wifi and I could skype from my tent because there was no cell signal.
The tent sites seem to be overflow sites. They are all on a dusty road and they are the furthest sites away from the bathrooms. They could at least put an outhouse near the tent sites. The fire pits (specifically the grills) were badly damaged. I was not able to cook a burger without it falling through the grill. The picnic table was badly carved and somewhat rotted. It appeared that maybe 15 or 20 years ago there was a leveled gravel spot for a tent, but it was not so gravelly and had lots of pits and uneven spots. The firepits and tables looked nicer in the RV sites, which is why I believe the tent sites are really just overflow sites.
There was not a water spigot anywhere near the tent sites, so I had to hike it to the bathrooms or seek out an empty RV site to obtain water and lug my bucket all the way back to my tent site.
You have 3 options for bathrooms. The most convenient is squatting, although don’t expect any privacy because there aren’t many bushes or trees around the tent sites. The furthest bathroom is down the dusty road and across the paved area near the office. The closest bathroom is a short hike away, but you have jump over a little creek and impose on other RVers and walk through their sites to get to it. I always feel bad walking through other peoples sites because I don’t like it when people walk through mine, but this place doesn’t have any other options. I kept apologizing to the RV people. They were slightly annoyed, but could clearly see that the tent people had no other options. Suggestion to RV people… don’t take a site that backs up to the tent sites if you aren’t willing to have people tramping through your site.
They seemed to have scavenger hunts and other activities for kids. The pool was overcrowded, small and didn’t look too clean.
Since the tent sites were dusty and not shady, I spent most of my time out of the camground and found fun things to do in Estes Park and neat places nearby for hiking.
The staff in the office seemed kind of put out when I checked in and when I asked questions. I did chat with one lady in the laundromat one day and she was quite pleasant.
I suppose this is a nice place for families who like to RV. It definitely was not my cup of tea.

We have camped here at least once a summer for the past 8 years and we always have a great time. If you have kids, it is a great place to have family fun and keep them entertained. We occasionally see a couple without kids staying there and they don’t like all the kid noise and cartoon stuff so make sure you are aware this is a family– kid friendly place.
While it is definitely not «roughing it», you get a full camping experience (not just an RV parking lot).
It is a little more expensive than other campgrounds, but considering all of the activities, it’s a great deal. It is much less expensive than staying at a resort or hotel with activities.
The kids can see Yogi every day during flag raising and flag lowering. There are activities every day (more on weekends). We look forward to playing candy bar BINGO every year. Some weekends there is a dance with music and so much fun. Be sure to bring your swim suit for the small heated pool.
Only about 10 minutes away from Estes Park and RMNP entrance.
Nice clean restrooms with flush toilets and showers.
Things to keep in mind:
— Lots of kids
— Main campground is on a hill so you might have to walk up and down a steep-​ish hill to main building for activities — depending on how far up your campsite is.
— Some sites are small, so if you have a bigger camper or truck, make sure you are in a bigger site for it.

So the family embarked on a weekend vacation to Estes Park Colorado. We looked for places to camp and found Yogi Bears. I was a little apprehensive at the price of $ 60 a night for a spot but I thought «oh well, Estes is expensive but we’ll have great views». Boy was I wrong! The camp spot that we were put in was literally a parking spot with a fire pit and a table. After parking the RV we I took out a measuring take and we were 10 ft from the door of our RV to the wall of the RV next to us. The spot we had looked like it used to be part of another spot but they decided to get greedy and make it two spots.
After settling down I sat down and cracked open a frosty one when I started feeling things biting me. I looked down and the whole spot was infested with ants. Just at that moment our ‘neighbor for the weekend’ came over and asked if we had a bad ant problem to. The night before he had actually gone out and bought Raid because they were everywhere. He had complained to the front desk, they said it is normal to have ants at a campground and laughed at him. I agree it is normal to have a few ants here and there but this was an infestation. I went around speaking with our other ‘neighbors’ and they all complained about they same thing with one neighbor leaving a day early and telling me he was going to dispute the credit card charge because they would give him his money back.
The grounds looked like they were very nice back in 1985 but since then they hadn’t taken care of there weed problem or pretty much anything other than mowing the grass once in awhile. There were also really no set paths for the camping spots in back of us for the people to walk to the restrooms on the other side, so all night we had people walking threw our camp spot. I don’t mind this if it wasn’t 5am when people are walking past your camper and the dog is barking, waking your baby up.
Our first full day we decided to go to the pool. In the pictures the pool looks huge but when you get there it looks allot different and completely full. I accidentally opened my mouth and took in some water that was very salty which was totally gross since it was probably full of pee.
Later we decided to go on a hike on there ‘trail’ they had built. More or less the trail is a small road that leads up to there water storage tanks.
The next day we decided to go on the hey ride with Yogi Bear. Which though fun was basically a flat bed trailer with an old stinky diesel tractor fulling you around in a circle. Oh well, at least my kid liked it. THIS IS WHAT GAVE IT 2 STARS AND NOT 1.
IF I WERE BOOKING A CAMP SPOT I WOULD NOT BOOK HERE!

Amazing! Have stayed here for many years. Amazing staff. During storm on last visit came and checked on everyone and helped those who needed it. Clean clean clean. Pool, pond, shaded, new playground, game room. Located on side of mountain so is a bit steep but just adds to its charm. We stayed in their rv rental unit and it was great. We have only had positive experiences and all of our camp neighbors feel the same. 5 minutes from downtown Estes. Great location.

The staff are VERY nice and helpful. Although they could have made a larger sale in their store, they offered us a cheaper, smaller item that worked just as well. While being on a budget, that was extremely helpful and appreciated.
However, the campsite we had was not up to par. Some of the sites can be very difficult to get to. We had a campsite that was up a steep hill, and the road on which we reached it was in very poor, bumpy condition. When we pulled into our tent site, it was in a steep decline which bottomed out our van. In addition, the tent site was not level. We rolled out of our sleeping bags and air mattresses the first night we stayed there, and then, we slept on an incline the next night.
Due to the wonderful staff and great service, we would stay there again, but we would definitely get a lower level camp site.

Nice wooded sites, very quiet and they have lots of activities for the kids. We’ve camped in Estes before, and this is the best place we’ve been at yet. The price is comparable to the national parks.
