Specialties
Rustic River Cabins are tucked away in the Big Thompson Canyon just four miles from the center of the city of Estes Park, Colorado, on the Big Thompson River.
We offer seven all-season, pet-friendly cabins on 16 acres. Four of the cabins have private hot tubs. The cabins sleep between 2 and 8 people. Built in the mid 1940s, the cabins have a rustic feel that makes you feel part of the Rockies.
We wow you with charming décor, sparkling clean showers and bathrooms, and well-stocked kitchens. You’ll love how our cabins bring the outside in while still maintaining a modern feel, including 26″ flat screen TVs with satellite, free Wi-Fi, and microwave ovens.
Head down the river on the trail that leads right in front of the cabins to spot brown and speckled trout. Grab your fishing poles for some fly fishing. We have one of the greatest spots for fishing. The river has naturally made a great fisherman“s oasis.
History
Established in 1945.
My husband and I just purchased Rustic River Cabins in August of 2012. However according to the city, this land has always been rental cabins.
This is a special place to relax and rejuvenate. With the mountains at your back and the river flowing through the property, guest feel the flow of energy and leave with a smile on their face.

Our mission for your stay and for Rustic River Cabins is one in the same: To offer you a clean, friendly environment to relax and have fun.
After 15 years in the big city together, we decided we needed a change, and Rustic River Cabins was what we needed. We love working where we live and living where we work, which allows us to spend most of our time on the property. We strive to be available when you check in and when you’re ready to check out to ensure the cabin has met your needs.
As new owners, we’ll be making every possible effort to ensure that loyal patrons of Rustic River Cabins continue to enjoy the newly remodeled cabins, clean well-maintained grounds, and an overall touch of Southern Charm.
Our motto, «Come for the mountains… stay for the hospitality» is not just a tag line. Our home is your home and we look forward to visiting with you. If you are here to lock yourself away and cuddle up in front of the fire, no problem. We let you decide how much contact you would
