We stopped at Monticello Coffee Bar on a drive down to Mount Rainier and were amazed at the excellent coffee and the barista’s knowledge and eagerness to get our drinks just the way we wanted them. They use Caffe D’Arte coffee which is even better than Stumptown, though Stumptown is a close second. They also have a really good menu selection for all sorts of tempting food, which we didn’t try(darn our low carb diet!) though it was hard to resist. The local police officers seated nearby seemed to really like the food they got and it looked really good too. The building itself is really interesting as well, it’s a former bank with the large and quite beautiful safe door still in place, they have plenty of seating(plus a drive thru) as well as two working fireplaces for those chilly winter days. The only flaw with this place is it’s too far from where we live darn it! We will be back though. Link to the news article about them, which is how we found this jewel… enumclaw.going.com/listings/the-monticello-coffee-bar
