First off Greg is a great guy. Secondly his boards are as good as it gets, he pays attention to details, for what you will get he should charge a lot more, he’ll make you exactly what you want, you’ll learn from him in the process, and he’ll take care of you afterwards. No need to say more.

Greg is the go-​to custom board shaper in San Diego. For decades, he has shaped for several world class surfers including Rob Machado. You can expect a quality board made to fit your height, weight, and ability. Over the years I have been more than pleased with a variety of shapes from Mr. Sauritch.

I picked up a board (5’11 Thruster) from Greg Sauritch a few weeks ago and I’m stoked. Not only was it a great price but I got in less than 3 weeks. I have gotten a lot of custom boards from other San Diego shapers (that shall remain nameless) and all of them cost way more money and took several months to get. Not only does the board perform well but it has a great glass job! I used it on some long sessions at Sunset Cliffs and Suk outs Chest to Head high plus it doesn’t have any heel dents on it. I got an Al Merrick from Surf Ride a few months back and it was riddled with heel dents after one mellow sesh at 15^th st. Bummer… Greg is rad. He takes the time to talk to you and returns your emails. I highly recommend his product. I understand that he shaped boards for Rob Machado, Kalani Robb and worked with Rusty for several years. He knows what it takes to make a good surfboard. Thanks for the boards Greg. Stoked!!!
