Kirk was awesome. I stopped by Mr. Tint several times to check pricing, availability, etc… He was always kind, and helpful and not pushy at all. He was very direct about pricing and time to complete.
When it came to actually doing the work I showed up 10 minutes early and he was right on it. The windows were finished probably 30 minutes earlier than expected, and he walked me through the details of what was done.
I will be taking my other cars back to Mr Tint in Encinitas very soon.
Quick Tip: if you get the work done in the morning Naked Café is around the corner so it’s great for a coffee and some breakfast!

I had my Ford Edge windows tinted yesterday and I’m happy. Not only was the installation quick and professional, the price was great too!
Mr Tint was the only shop that answered their phone. I called 3 other places and reached vm and didn’t receive a call back until today.

I just had my front windows tinted by these guys because when I called they were nice, gave me a quick appt AND were 40% less then other window tinters.
The appointment was fast, they were funny, professional, excellent to work with and they even matched the film beautifully. I totally recommend them.

Great tint selection, top shelf Formula 1 product, inexpensive service. I had Llumar «Blue» clear UV tint installed on my driver and front passenger windows. $ 80 out the door, 30 minute job. Minus 1 star for starting 20 minutes late and having no waiting area.

Recently had my vehicle tinted at Mr. TINT.
Kirk (The Shop Manager) who personally did the work and I couldn’t be more pleased. After looking around for a good deal on window tinting I found «Mr.Tint» and at first I was very nervous taking my car there since they offered me a real low price to tint my windows which made me think they would do a cheap job or use cheap material. I was completely wrong, after talking to Kirk in person and getting to know more about their materials, I was a believer. Sure enough, Kirk did an excellent job on the tinting and their manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty on their tint materials, which means that if anything starts to peal off or bubble, you can just take it back and Mr. Tint will take care if it. STOP LOOKING AROUND if you need tinting, go to Mr. Tint in Encinitas! They will do a great affordable job!

We have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Sport that needed all 7 back and side windows tinted. I am so glad that we went to Kirk! Not only was he able to get us in on a Saturday with a few days notice, he had us in an out in a couple hours and did a fantastic job. He was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the shades and options before we went ahead with everything. When we came to pick it up, it looked fantastic! Kirk explained that the slight «bubble/​crackle» look will disappear within a few days once the adhesive bonds. I am fully confident it will and if any problems were to occur they have a lifetime warranty that has you covered for pretty much everything. (unless you claw at your windows and scratch the heck out of them-​then that’s on you). Thank you Kirk, we will absolutely come back with our next vehicle that is in need of tinting!

2^nd time bring my vehicle here. Went on 7÷1÷15 great service great pricing. Did a great job explained difference in tint. Took 2 hours for my bmw sedan wven did the front window visor tint great will come back in future and will recommend to friends and family.

This place has got to be OUT OF BUSINESS. I have tried to call since before Christmas, when I saw them in Groupon, I really want my new car’s windows tinted, and wanted to ask them a few questions before buying the Groupon. After ELEVEN unsuccessful attempts to call, it rang and rang until a robotic voice announced «Tape full. Please try again later.» Yesterday we drove to it, and it is a tiny one-​stall place in the center of auto repair bays/​shops in Encinitas. This stall was dark, door wide open, someone’s car parked in it and a motorcycle, and NO ONE THERE. The phone was flashing and the mechanic next door said the guy is really good, he just works for the owner and isn’t the actual owner, and sits inside watching surf videos all day. MAYBE IN THEY FIXED THEIR PHONE AND ACTUALLY ANSWERED IT THEY’D GET SOME BUSINESS AND COULD BE OPEN ON DAYS THEY SAY THEY ARE OPEN!!! iT WAS SATURDAY, AND THEY’RE SUPPOSEDLY OPEN FROM 8 – 5 ACCORDING TO THEIR WEBSITE, AND YET THEY WERE DARK AND EMPTY! I feel sorry for the car parked there — anyone could walk in and take things out of there!!! I will definitely be getting a refund from Groupon and taking it where the Toyota dealer recommended in the first place. (Solar Care) The only reason I was there, is my husband got this Groupon for me for Christmas!

Mr Tint and Kirk really came through for me today. I got a fix it ticket to remove my front window tint, by an asshole chp officer on my way to vegas for thanksgiving, well of course I’m busy all the way to xmas, when i realized I have only a couple days left to get it done. Well I call up kirk and he gets it done in under 30 min, when everyone else couldn’t fit it in for days. and for a price that was about the same as getting the freakin cop to sign off on it. Great price, great work, cool guys. I appreciate them seriously. I wouldnt hesitate call them again when needed.

After calling around for window tinting quotes for my Toyota Tundra, I came across Mr. Tint in Encinitas. I got off work a little early and rushed over to Mr. Tint, arriving 20 minutes before they closed. Kirk was happy to help me without an appointment and even stayed late to install my tint just right. He did an awesome job. I received quotes for almost 2X as much for the same job, and I’m very pleased with the competitive price that I was charged. Worth every penny. I’ll be bringing my wife’s SUV in very soon!

Accommodations were great, called in with a Groupon on Thurs. and Kurt got me in on Sat., for the 1^st appointment. He explained the difference in tint and got to work. I was informed about the bubbles and that they would dry out in a couple/​few weeks, so after a couple of months, I brought my car in for him to review. Yep. there were bubbles and on 3 of the 5 windows he did. So I had to make another appointment, I live off of 78 & 15, so this was a little ways, which also meant I had to stick around and find something to do for a few hours. After the 2^nd attempt, thanked him for everything and headed home hoping all the bubbles would dissipate, little did I know I had another problem. Prior to replacement, Kurt made it a point to say my defroster lines would not be affected when he took off bubbled tint, hence the 3 – 4 hr wait, well… Yep. some of the defroster lines were peeled off in places! I don’t know if having a Groupon made the work shabby, cause it’s discounted… but didn’t have a great experience as others. It’s too bad because I had called Ray in Vista by accident, when I first had the bubbles and he offered to take care of my problem… I should have taken my car to him… instead, I’m having to take my car back to the Lexus dealership in attempts to fix my defrosting lines in rear window before winter…

I needed to get my ’95 Honda Prelude re-​tinted, and Kirk at Mr. Tint Encinitas gave me a great over-​the-​phone estimate at $ 240. Since I was in the area, I stopped by in person with the Prelude and he maintained his offer of $ 240 (the cheapest out of the other locations in Escondido and Vista).
I brought in my car first thing next morning and he finished it up by 3PM the same day (within his estimation, and the old tint had to be taken off first). Not only is Kirk quick, but he does an EXCELLENT job with the tinting! There is no compromise of quality when it comes to this great spot.
Plus, I’m one of those guys that asks a ton of questions when it comes to car stuff and call back once in a while; Kirk was always very patient and was very happy to answer anything and everything. I will be referring my friends and family here whenever they need a tint.

Got a groupon to tint my car here (Nissan Versa 2014 sedan) and they did a pretty good job. They got it done in a timely manor, which was the two hours they had quoted. I had wanted to upgrade to the pinnacle series film which was a ceramic film but it was a $ 100 upgrade fee which was almost as much as the whole deal. This price wasn’t listed on the groupon and I feel it should have been. I’m still finding little pieces of tint in my car from when they were trimming. Door panels were left wet but the tint looks good from the outside. I will upload pictures soon

Had Mr. tint twice before and the quality of the tint job is excellent. Just bought a new car and needed to have tint done. Previously I had it done in the Vista location. Don’t remember exactly how much I paid last times. This time around, Vista quoted me a price seemly much higher then before so I called Encinitas and got a much lower price quote for the same tint. Went to Encinitas and the job was well done. Kirk (I believe that’s his name) helped me and was friendly and quick. Would recommended this location over the one in Vista.

I just purchased a new car and needed to get my windows tinted. I saw the Groupon and after looking into the deal I was happy and bought it. I was able to schedule my appointment quickly and at a convenient time for myself. Once I arrived I wasn’t sure exactly what tint I wanted because I have never gotten tint on my car before. Eli explained to me what to expect on each tint and I am very happy with what he helped me decide. The tint was amazing and quick. I definitely recommend this place for getting your windows tinted.

A co-​worker recommended Mr. Tint to me after she had her car done. She told me about the Groupon deal, so I went for it. I live near La Costa, so I went to the Mr. Tint in Encinitas. Eli did a great job of explaining the process and all the options, and he didn’t try to up-​sell me at all, which I really appreciate. He then did a great job on my windows, and my car looks awesome. I had always wanted my windows tinted but never went through with it. Just recently I purchased a new car that would benefit from the aesthetic and conventional purpose of window tinting. I purchased a Groupon for Mr. Tint having done my research on their FormulaOne brand of tint and found it to be the best. That was just from having done my research. Having read horror stories about other local places and tint jobs, I took the chance on Mr. Tint in Encinitas and am SO GLAD I did. I was in contact with Eli who runs the place and he was extremely honest and helpful! The job was quick and the results are amazing. Along with the great service, there is a lifetime warranty too! Very happy all around and I highly recommend getting your windows tinted here!
