C&D Locksmith

Called C&D Locksmith at 7:30 on a Friday night because my boyfriend accidentally locked our keys in the house & we were locked out. My call was answered immediately, and John was out to our house in less than ten minutes! Kind, professional, & reasonable-​not to mention able to come out right away! Will recommend him to everyone, thanks John!

Called John to install four new locks in a newly purchase home in Leucadia. John responded immediately, provided all the information need re: the new locks, installed them in less than an hour — even went so far as to test each of the six keys in each of the four locks to ensure all was installed and working properly.

Like an idiot, I locked the key in my key on Halloween. I called a few other locksmiths and most were super busy with an +1 hour wait.
I finally called C+D and not only was the price much less expensive then other shops around, but John was able to be here in 15 minutes. Anyway, John didn’t realize the traffic would be bad (he arrived 15 minutes late) so he knocked $ 10 bucks off for the inconvenience. Super honest!
Hopefully I don’t lock the key in my car again, but if I do, I’ll call C+D.

John was really friendly and gave me the best quote. Came in the same day and changed all 4 locks. Can’t say how happy I am that I chose his service!

Wow, John Yi saved the day! Two hungry girls with only food on our minds locked the keys in the car, ugh!!! Then standing out in the rain and calling several places with no answer and one with a huge inflated rate, we started to stress a bit. However, then John answered and was able to take care of us and was there in less than 10 min with an incredibly reasonable service fee. He was so sweet and had the car open in seriously one minute. Called John on a late Sunday afternoon, he was at my place in 20 minutes. I locked my garage door opener inside of the garage, he was able to get in through a side door which was locked. The price was extremely reasonable, he is an awesome guy and I would highly recommend his company!

I wish I could give John 10 stars! Called him last week as I locked my keys inside of my garage and couldn’t get into the garage. He came out within 2 hours and rekeyed it. Well, then my boyfriend told me this morning that he had now locked the NEW keys in the garage AGAIN. John came out again within a couple hours and rekeyed. I would call him for anything key related. He is reliable, professional and efficient. Thanks John! Hope I don’t have to call you anytime in the near future for the garage!

I called C&D this morning and asked for a 3pm appointment. Reviews on Unilocal were good. John was a few minutes late. Picked my lock and made two keys. He was fast and very reasonable. At our house less than 25 mins. If you need a locksmith in north county, I would highly recommend. Very pleasant.

The lock on my mailbox needed to be replaced. John came out the same day I called and on time. Fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. Fast, friendly, efficient, and affordable. Thanks john!

So I had to get a new set of keys asap and I called C&D. This guy came out on Sunday and charged me the same price as he would any other day which is pretty cool.
Not only that I showed him a door lock that I didnt have a key for and he took another 25 – 30 minutes of his time to rekey that! WTH! The least I could do was buy him a machaca burrito and a horchata or was it a jamiaca? from

John is awesome! He is an honest good hearted person who won’t rip you off. He may dress casually and not wear a fancy uniform but he is totally trust worthy and will treat you right! He doesn’t up charge for most services, he does good deeds for good Karma. He is the kind of person you hope shows up when you need a service provided!

John was on time and a true professional on re-​keying our house! All locks were re-​keyed and installed in 45 minutes.

I needed my new home re-​keyed and John was nice and able to schedule same day service. He was courteous when he got a little delayed and called to notify me he’d be 15 minutes late *before he was even late. :)
He did a good job on the locks and was extra helpful with my old French doors which had some alignment issues with the handles & screen. He moved them around & made them better for me! Nice helpful guy! Book him! :)

John was great and did above and beyond what I asked him to do.

The only reason I set up an account was to write a great review for John and C&D Locksmith. I was so impressed with John’s expertise, kindness, and speed that I had to write my first Unilocal review.
As a brand new home owner I was mortified and scared when a door automatically locked as I stepped out of the house for a moment and my dog was then locked inside. John came over right away and had unlocked the door in no time. I was so impressed at how prepared he was with every tool imaginable and how he made me feel better. He is very knowledgeable and professional. While he was there he also customized a few door locks and made some spare keys.
Nice, knowledgeable, reliable, and fast. What else can I say except, I will ONLY use C&D locksmith from here on out.
