Liers. Never told me I had to pay a 200 installation fee until the guy showed up. Then the guy on the phone argued with me telling me he did say it instead of trying to fix the situation. What a group.

After doing quite a bit of research online and looking at options… I called and explained my situation. They scheduled me the same day and were able to get me up and running in less time than I would have thought. The installation for the security system was done so professionally and looks great. They cleaned up and left everything looking nice… I bought a home automation system and they were able to program everything so that it is all available through the app on my phone. What great peace of mind and also a great way to keep an eye on what’s going on at home. Very professional, patient, and they answered all my questions. It is a true pleasure doing business with them and they offer support as well if you have any issues with the system… Definitely a top-​notch professional company. I feel more secure knowing that this company carries a quality System and when I called with some technical support questions about using the website the customer service that is provided as part of the monthly service was top-​notch… Even though I was calling at almost midnight.

I’ve had their service since December 2012. They have provided good service, my system still works great, and I would recommend them because their monthly service is less than other comprable services.

Let me tell you about Tee: This man cares. He will work with you to achieve the security system that meets your needs, no matter how demanding they may be. I did shop around to see if anyone can meet what Tee offered. Some came fairly close, but there is always that extra bonus when you have the direct number to Tee at hand. I admire that this is a local and passionate business that takes great care of the customers providing better service and technology at better rates than the national brands.

The higher-​tech system he installed is very neat. It’s not a super computer, but it does what you need it to do and does it well. It’s not an eye-​sore as most panels I’m used to seeing. The design is attractive and minimal with a white, Apple-​influenced design, two large buttons and a functional lcd touch panel. It can display status, open sensors, even the weather. It is very simple and easy to navigate.
The ability to control the system remotely from anywhere in the world through an app on your phone is fantastic. You can arm/​disarm, view the status, and history. For all those times you may not remember whether or not you armed the system, this is a godsend. In addition, the key fob also allows you to remotely activate and deactivate the system, but at a closer range, such as when the garage door has closed.
I like the notification feature, though it is a bit of an annoyance on my phone. I wish it would send the notifications from the same number, which would cut down on the number of text message threads. It does notify you for just about any important action sensed by the system such as arm/​disarm by account, bypassed sensors and a breach. No matter if its somewhat annoying, I most definitely welcome them.
Panel and System = 4.75÷5 Stars
Beside a less cluttered notification system, what more could you ask for? Oh yes, you CAN opt for other controls and functions for your home too!
All in all, I am very satisfied with what I have seen so far. Tee has provided a great system that met my security AND financial needs and functions as desired. I have not had any breakins in the week that I’ve had the system so I can’t provide any input on how effective it is when activated in a real situation. I can only imagine it will function as promised!

Let me start by saying I am paranoid when it comes to security. We moved into a new house and I shopped around for a superior security system with a reliable company. I found Tee based on the Unilocal reviews. I was a little apprehensive at first and wasn’t sure if he really was as great as the comments suggested.
I was exceptionally surprised by Tee’s professionalism when we met him and got our initial quote. He was not the typical salesman that tried up-​selling. I had wanted a bunch of different extra items and Tee was honest enough to tell me that i didn’t need all the extra items and didnt try to make some fast extra money.
He cleans up after he hooks up the equipment. He is timely and super organized. I LOVE the system. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Tee!!!

My neighbors had this alarm and we were curious as to which system we wanted to go with– considering there were so many options. After shopping around and meeting with different vendors, we went ahead and had Ialarm come and install. Tee Phan went through the paperwork with me and thoroughly explained the system’s functions with patience. The system is super easy to use and I absolutely love the cellular phone features with the price I got compared to ADT– which requires a landline and adding the cell phone was an additional cost. I am completely happy and have peace of mind now. Great system, easy to use, friendly customer service experience, no hassle, and beats the prices of so many others with the functions it has.

After being with Protection 1 for 4 years, I decided to shop around for the latest and greatest technology. iAlarm definitely has much more to offer. Tee installed my system for me the same day! I started off with the basic package and ended up moving up to the «home automation» package. I have had my alarm for about a week, and really like it so far. Tee is super punctual and an awesome installer! I’m a fan of iAlarm, they definitely work with you to get you what you need in your budget.

We just moved into a new home that had an existing defunct Brinks alarm system. Brinks is now owned by ADT, and we weren’t thrilled with their reviews. We also wanted to go with a system that used wireless technology so we weren’t committed to a landline. iAlarm has been fantastic so far. The panel worked well for a few days, and then we found the buttons to be a little «touchy». I’m used to tech companies who presume that when their product doesn’t work as expected that there’s some «user error» going on. That wasn’t the case with iAlarm… our technician (Tee Tran) came out, assessed that the panel needed to be replaced, and did so then and there. It’s been on it’s best behavior ever since, but Tee let us know that they’ll repair any issues if they happen in the future. It’s also great that you can operate the alarm from your phone.

We just moved into our new house in May. We live in the Sierra Oaks part of Sac, which is considered quite affluent… we thought that meant safe as well. Then, last Monday night, someone broke into my car, found the garage door opener and went into my garage. The thief took my most precious item, my beloved cyclocross road bike. Thief also took my garage door opener. I was afraid he or she or they would come back for my other bikes or worst, come into my house when my family was here.
On Tuesday, I started researching home security services in Sac. I called iAlarm on Tuesday afternoon (yesterday) and they scheduled me for the next morning. Today, 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment, the iAlarm technician was at my front door. When installation was completed, setup was so easy. This system truly is made for the average man or woman and no technical experience is necessary.
I love the functionality of this alarm system. I spend most of my day on a computer or on my smartphone so it’s nice to always be connected to the system and know exactly what is going on at home.
I would highly recommend this system to everyone. You can’t beat iAlarm’s rate either. Call around and you will see how much cheaper the equipment and installation cost of iAlarm vs ADT, Bay Alarm, etc. The monthly cost is also reasonable compared to those other companies.

We recently moved to a new property and was with ADT at our previous house and wanted to see what was out there for us. Never had any issues with ADT nor did I have anything great to say either. They did their job, plain and simple.
Then I stumbled upon iAlarm on Unilocal and started reading the reviews. I decided to give them a call and was surprised to find out they were out of Elk Grove. I spoke with Tee (who was very knowledgeable) and he explained to me all the features that would come with their base package (which was about $ 10 less per month when compared to my ADT bill).
The package include a lot of update features that my ADT system did not have (i.e. ability to turn monitor system online or via app, touchscreen panel, remote key fob to arm and disarm the alarm, and usage of cellular networks to communicate with monitoring company).
We decided to go with iAlarm, the install was very quick and professional. I asked Tee a lot of questions and he was very patient and willing to walk me through their system. Monitoring is done by Central Monitoring System out in Oklahoma (I never worked with them before, so I don’t have much to review).
Overall, I have been very happy with the system and our decision to go with iAlarm.

Recently moved to the area and experienced a burglary at our residence. Not happy! Searched and found on Unilocal iAlarm Systems in Elk Grove. All reviews were good so gave them a call. So impressed with them. They came out quick, gave us a quote, installed at our convenience. The technician and installer were very professional, efficient, polite, knowledgeable and just really nice guys. Some alarm companies send out installers that look like they just got an early release from prison, but not iAlarm. Home security system including cameras work great. Love the convenience of being able to monitor from anywhere via my iPhone or iPad. We had a couple of questions after installation so we text iAlarm and received a response back immediately. So appreciate their great customer service. We highly recommend iAlarm!

His customer service was exceptional. Got an alarm problem? Pick up the phone or send a text and… BAM! Tee is there to fix and handle all your alarm needs and concerns! I appreciate having an area technician because it allows us as the customers to build a rapport with them and hey it also takes the «nerve wrecking» feeling of having a stranger in the house away! (Big plus for iAlarm customers)
AS FOR THE iAlarm Product and Services Offered. I gave a 4 stars. Why? Since having the alarm installed in the new home in December — I felt that I dealt with a little more problems than I really have should. During the first month I was freaked out the f*ck out because when I armed my house before bed. the alarm would go off as if an intruder got into the home. For a young female living alone — This was definitely NOT THE BUSINESS! After noticing some patterns — Ive noticed that there was an electrical issue to when I would turn off/​on a switch in the home — the alarm would trigger. Thankfully Tee made it out and fixed my problems away. Since then I dealt with some other minor problems but nothing major.
I like iAlarm. It is a great company. The monthly service was a bit more pricey than its major competitors and also the installation was not the cheapest. Other company offered a better installation package deal but on the bright side — I do LOVE controlling my alarm, light switches and thermostats from an app on my iphone called «Alarm​.com». It is pretty neat and also the iAlarm product/​key pad is pretty simple to use (plus really colorful!) Another down side of the product is that when there is a phone call coming in or when I try communicating to my iAlarm system from my iphone. this really annoying wave signal from the iAlarm pad goes off. Its not long nor too loud that’s why I learned to live with it… but it would be nice to not even deal with it or hear it #justsaying. Another great thing about my iAlarm is that when it goes off there is a two way communication ability from my iAlarm pad with the alarm dispatcher. No more waiting for the alarm company to call when you leave the alarm on trigger. It is simply communicated via iAlarm pad. Quick & Simple. Plus the dispatcher can listen in and hear all things going on when the alarm is going off — so they have a better understanding of whats going on and if there was really threat inside the home. Pretty cool right?
Overall I believe I experience more positive than negative experiences with iAlarm — That’s why I gave it 4 stars out of 5. Giving it 5 Stars would mean it is perfect with no history of problems/​issues — In which in my case that was not the case. Hopefully this review provides the people/​Yelpers a more in depth review of the iAlarm as a whole.

Had an emergency & needed my security system upgraded. The installer, Tee, was excellent & able to be at my house to start the installation within an hour.
This is an excellent & very modern alarm system. I like that each person can have their own access code & it sends a text to my phone instantly telling me which persons code was used and at what time.
Another really great thing about this company is it is monitored through Central Station, based in Oklahoma. When I call I get someone who speaks English, not someone in India who is difficult to understand. Additionally, there is no phone tree asking me to press 1 if I speak English, etc.

I grew up in a small town where there was virtually no crime — so I had no prior experience with alarm systems. Having recently bought a house in Sac — I definitely knew I wanted an alarm to give me some peace of mind. I wanted good, high-​tech alarm system — and iAlarm fit the bill!
The were really helpful on the phone and answered all of my questions thoroughly. On the day of the installation, the two technicians/​representatives came on time. We signed some paperwork and they got to work right away. They explained all the features of the system to us, and answered all of my (many) questions. Their customer service was excellent!
The alarm system itself is super cool and modern. I love being able to control it with my cell phone. I am really forgetful (and lazy), so being able to turn it on/​off from anywhere is awesome!

I had iAlarm installed two weeks ago it I am totally impressed with their service so far. Tee came out on a Saturday to install the system and he was courteous, knowledgeable and informative. He answered all my questions and reviewed everything thoroughly.
The system itself is very, very easy to use. I like that there is a two-​way voice connection if the alarm goes off and I love that I can use my iphone to control everything. The price was definitely right — a brand new system with two motion sensors was cheaper than anything else I looked at. I have referred iAlarm to two other friends and will continue to refer them.

ialarm Systems has the coolest and newest technology ever. I’m not a techy but with their user friendly system, I feel so secure and have more peace of mind. I control my alarm system at my finger tips through my cell phone, it has save me so much time and I know who ever comes in and out of my home.
There was this one time that i gave my house keys to a potential renter and her check bounce and she still came in my house. I got a notify text and called her right away, she said she was checking things out. I think she was trying to pull a fast one on me but thank Goodness for ialarm Systems, it save me thousand of money and headaches.
Their prices compare to ADT and all those other company is a lot cheaper. I had Guardian before and when I signed up they promise me the world. When I called for a service call they wanted to charge me $ 80! just to come out when it their fault. They waste my precious time and money!
To save you from the headaches and time, call ialarm for a quote, I promise you won’t be dissatisfied. I am a Realtor and I refer ialarm Systems to all my clients, never one complaint yet only compliments. By the way if you sign up with them they don’t charge you for service charge when they come out and how can you say no to that?!
