I’ve had Hue & Cry in my home for six years.
What I love about them is that when my alarm goes off, I get a call at my list of numbers until I am reached. I will say, one time my fire alarm when off, legitimately, it took about 10 minutes of calling through the numbers before the fire department was called. All was fine, but if the house were on fire I don’t know that that would have been good. But I also don’t know if that is standard for the industry.
What I don’t love about them is the occasional lack of follow through if there are technology issues. Service calls are expensive.
We also used to use them for our business. I loved that every night they would call at 11:00 p.m. if we forgot to set that alarm. They really stood out for me in their level of service in that respect. If I start monitoring my new building (the building has an outer alarm already), I will use them again.

We’ve had our security monitoring with Hue& Cry for several years now, and they have been excellent. They are really on the monitoring, and will call not just when the alarm is set off, but also periodically to ask you to test the system if they haven’t heard from you in a while, or if there are any alert lights, like a bad sensor or low backup battery, and are more than willing to walk you through a test or explain what is causing an alert light. On the rare occasion we have had a technician out to the house, they have been punctual, professional and knowledgeable. In my experience, their rates for repairs and monitoring have been very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Hue and Cry customer service is not «world class» as their website states. Not even close. If you call the Anderson office, you’ll get terrible customer service. And if you e-​mail them, it goes into a black hole and you’ll never hear anything back. Contact your local hue and cry office if you desire any kind of customer service.

We recently moved into a brand new home, so we had several different service people in and out during the first few weeks. Among them was Oleg from Hue and Cry who installed our alarm. He was fast, efficient, and offered several cost saving solutions to install the best system for our needs. Not only did he do excellent work, but when he was done the areas where he worked were spotless. That’s more than I can say for several of the other installations that week.
But what earned Oleg 5 stars from me was that as he was moving though the house working, he came in the living room where I was watching tv, and asked why we didn’t have our surround sound in use. I mumbled something about trying to figure out the wiring, and he offered to take a look. After moving one wire, he had all the speakers working. He also mentioned that the Satellite TV Installer didn’t connect their box to the phone jack, and explained the benefits of that and hooked that up for us. Then he checked the phone line and was concerned that he got a busy signal. After some troubleshooting he determined that when the internet and phone were installed, they were plugged into the wrong jacks, giving off a constant busy signal from our home phone. So he corrected that as well. During the conversation I mentioned that we were having a new media cabinet delivered in a few weeks, and he offered to return to disconnect and reinstall everything in the new cabinet. All of this was done at no additional charge to us.
Oleg loves his job and it shows. I would certainly reccommend Hue & Cry, and tell them to send Oleg!

We’ve had our alarm system for a few years now. Hue & Cry was recommended to us from another satisfied customer, and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve had zero excursions, and each time I’ve accidentially tripped the alarm, we’re pleased with the speed & level of response (immediate phone call from Hue & Cry, and we’ve even had the sherrif arrive within minutes).
With a house full of young kids, we feel safe & protected in our home at all times. And we feel extremely comfortable every time we leave our home, knowing that our house is locked down & invincible.
When our alarm does go off, it is loud, the lights are bright… it’s just what we were hoping for. It’s what you’d expect from a security system. And we love that all of our doors & windows chime when they’re opened or closed; again such a nice feature for young kids.
And lastly, I love the wireless faub. I can calmly load a bunch of kids into the car in the driveway, close the garage door and then set the alarm with the touch of a button. It’s genius! Likewise, I can disarm the system before entering the home, avoiding the rush of making it to the keypad inside within the set time limit.
I would recommend Hue & Cry security systems to anyone.

We have since moved to a superior system with a new company.
Oh yeah… They offer a $ 1000.00 guarantee on their website that they didn’t stand up to for us. Useless ad hype.
