Got my first ever tattoo the other day and Nate was my artist. I must say, I was extremely nervous when I came into the tattoo shop the day of my appointment. Nate greeted me and welcomed me in with no hesitation. He assured me that everything would go well and that I would do fine. As soon as he showed me the tattoo that he had drawn up, I was beyond amazed. It looked incredible! He got everything ready and then called me over to sit in the hot seat and we started on my first tattoo. Aside from the pain, my experience with Nate was awesome! He made sure I was doing alright every so often and was great at keeping my mind off of the pain by cracking a joke every now and then. Overall, my experience with Nate was a 6 out of 5! If you are looking for a good tattoo artist who is a genuine, down to earth person who knows what they are doing, Nate is your guy! You won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to my next few sessions!

Finished up my 3^rd session with Nate the other day. I am literally at a loss for words. And I’m not just saying that. This piece of art is something that I’ve wanted for the longest time and to see it finally come to life is amazing. The detail and attention that he puts into his tattoos and art work is amazing. Nate definitely went beyond my expectation with my tattoo. And as always, he’s very friendly and makes sure that you are comfortable while being tattooed. Even though this is my first tattoo ever, I don’t think I will be going to any other tattoo artist. Great clean environment as well. 6 out of 5 stars!

Tony has done a tattoo for me. The color and intensity are both perfect. He’s artistic and understands design.

I got a tattoo by Nate and he was amazing. He is very soft handed which was great for me cause although I love tattoos, I hate the process. Definitely I would go to him!

Nate is awesome! His business is clean, his prices are fair and competitive, he’s in time and professional. His artwork is flawless! Second tattoo from this guy and I love this rose just as much as the first. Last, Nate gets the job done with a touch so gentle that I don’t bleed and no scabs! I will be back in a few months to get a portrait tattoo!

I have gotten 3 tattoo here, I have been extremely happy with all of them. Tony, did them all, but I have seen Nate’s work as well and would recommend either one of them to anyone. The shop itself is very clean, and organized and the customer service is above and beyond.

I was gonna leave my tattoo Nate did for me black and grey but had a change of heart so I contacted Nate again and he squeezed me into his busy schedule to color in my tattoo now that’s customer service!

Nate Rodoni is one of the best artist in the Bay Area, hands down. I get compliments all the time on my tattoos (all done by Nate). Give him your idea for a tattoo and let him design something for you, let him add his touch to it. He is very professional and reliable, very hard to find in tattoo artists these days. Nate is worth his fees to get the tattoo done right.

Another excellent experience with Nate at True Ambition Art Co. After such an amazing experience with tat #1, tat #2 did not disappoint, it only served to strengthen my conviction in Nate’s innate talents and ability to take a bunch of seemingly unrelated thoughts, ideas and objects and mold them into something meaningful and beautiful. In love with my tattoo. Tony is awesome. He has a great eye and creativity for working with the design he’s presented with. He’s also great at positioning the tattoo in a way that goes with the part of the body it’s being done on.

I stop by to check out the place Nic is the artist that take care of me. I showed him some pictures and ideas that i get and after few min he show me a few simples that he made, one of them was perfect for me. we schedule for another day and i got a new clean and quality tattoo. Nic is great! I had a post it sized watercolor peace sign done today 60 $. The atmosphere of the shop was great and they made you feel very welcomed. Amazing art work, it’s exactly what I wanted. So happy with my tattoo!

Ok so what can I say. I’ve been getting work done by Nate for a while now. I am loyal because I believe he’s the best. He is an incredible artist bit he’s more than that. What I love most is that little bit of extra that he puts into every tattoo. I go to him and tell him what I want and then he does research on his own and always put together a beautiful piece. He is truly amazing and he’s a genuinely good person. He’s got a great heart for everything. Family for life. Whatever room I have left on my body is getting filled in by him. If you want a great piece. If want someone creative. If you just want to meet an awesome guy… go see Nate.

I made an account just to leave a review because I am that happy with my tattoo. My tattoo artist was Nate. I made an appointment and told him about the concept that I wanted but also gave him artistic freedom because I really like the style of his art. He came up with a tattoo design that incorporated all my ideas and it was even better than anything I could think of or find online. The shop atmosphere is real relaxed and everyone is cool and funny. I’m always getting compliments on my tattoo and after getting 3 tattoos from different people I finally found a permanent tattoo guy. I recommend Nate and true ambition shop to anyone who would like to get some work done.

Obviously by the stars, it’s safe to assume that I am beyond happy with my tattoo. I mean I love it!!! What I really am impressed with is the customer service from ALL the artists. This took place 4÷10÷15…
I wanted to get a shitty cherry juicy tattoo covered up (don’t judge me) with a dream catcher. I went to 4 other tat spots, and needless to say I was semi impressed with their work but so unimpressed with their shitty attitudes. I had an appointment already scheduled with 1 shop, gave my deposit and all, but for some reason I was skeptical. The sketch they sent me was a tracing of one of the examples I sent them. I know it’s a dream catcher BUT DAMN… you can make it original. So I Unilocal tattoo shops and come across True Ambition. I give them a call to explain and was told I could come in same day for a consultation.
I go in and am greeted by Nate, Big Nick, and a family friend. Told Nate what I wanted and he made it happen. He and Big Nick took measurements, sketches, and pictures of my arm. Nate even drew on my arm to give me an idea if how big it would be etc. He asked me my budget and didn’t pull some high ass price out his ass. Unfortunately, Nate is booked until the end of time so he couldn’t do it but I told him I wanted it done ASAP. Based off what I wanted he felt as if Little Nick would be perfect for the job, but Little Nick wasn’t there. Both he and Big Nick called Little Nick and Little Nick brought his ass all the way from Antioch on his day off to tat me.
When I first saw Little Nick, I thought he was a little tatted ass teenager who came in to get more tats. But NOPE this kid was here to ink me. I was a little skeptical cus he looks 8 but he tattoos like a fuckin dude who has been in the game for 25+ years! He looked at my examples, listened to my ideas and took his time sketching my dreamcatcher. We worked together and if I didn’t like something, he changed it. I wanted color and told him to pick some colors that would look good on my chocolate self and he did just that. The tattoo hurt like a ***** but it was well worth it. He took his time and was so patient with me. You can tell he is passionate about what he does.
The entire time I was getting tatted, which was about 3.5 hours, everyone was engaging with one another and joking around. It wasn’t generic, but good authentic conversation and inappropriate jokes which I loved. The place is super clean, the artists are passionate AND talented, and the customer service is amazing. Oh and they have bottled water and coffee on deck. Highly recommend

I walked in this afternoon and walked out with two new tattoos and I must say the best tattoos I have! Nick is who did the art today and he gave me exactly what I wanted. Nick, thank you so much for giving me something great to look at everyday.

I recently got a large back piece tattooed by Nate at True Ambition and cannot rave enough how impressed and happy I was with his work. Nate is a super talented tattoo artist and an all around great guy who made my experience getting tattooed by him so much better than any other work I have had done. The piece was exactly what I had in mind, yet Nate put his own creative and unique touch which made it even better than expected. The portrait of my grandmother came out so realistic and beautiful, I felt like the photo had basically been tattooed on my back it was so spot on. I don’t think I will be getting tattooed by anyone else after seeing Nate, it really wouldn’t compare. The shop is super chill and Nate and Nic are both super funny and cool. My experience at True Ambition was bar none to any other tattoo shop I’ve gone to and Nate is so talented!
