Nici has been a wonderful dog walker for our dogs, Bella & Lucky for 3+ years. I trust her with our furry kids because of her 10+ years of experience, & my dogs love her too! I want my dogs to meet other dogs but in a smaller group (my dogs do not like doggie daycare, so having Nici walking them twice a week is so much better).
She only walks 3 – 4 dogs maximum at one session (I think it’s safer that way) & she uses her judgement when she selects which dogs would be compatible to «hang out» together in one session, based on their temperament & personalities. Nici writes updates/​notes after each walk & she also text me pictures from their walks/​outings at the dog park (or at other fun locations!) I love seeing pictures of my dogs with their new furry friends at the park! :) plus Nici knows dog CPR, which is a plus.

Nici is the BEST! Nici has been taking care of my Dog Heidi for several years when I need to travel. From the very first time I met her I felt secure leaving Heidi in her care. Nici is very attentive to knowing everything about Heidi and keeping good records of what she likes. When I pull up to Nici’s house to drop Heidi off she is so excited and can barely wait to jump out of the car to greet her. While I am gone Nici always sends photos and text updates on how things are going. If my travel plans are extended or my flight arrives late, Nici is always flexible with me to work something out. I am confident Heidi is getting plenty of exercise. Nici takes her on daily walks, trips to the park, play dates with other furry friends, etc. I think Heidi is bored when I come home because she has been given even more attention and exercise time than I can give to her when I am home :). You can put your complete trust in Ode To A Dog. Plus, I am thankful for the friendship with Nici, she is a wonderful artistic person, so kind and giving. Come to think of it, when I leave Heidi I almost feel like I am leaving her with a family member. Your Dog will love Nici!

We have an 11 year old English Pointer, Zelda, who is our «child». We moved to LA this past September. In the 10 years we had her in NY I think we only used a dog walker 10 times.
Nici is amazing. We’ve already entrusted our child to her several times, including an overnight. We have complete trust in her. She not only walks Zelda, she loves her! They go to the beach, on hikes, all over LA. And Zelda, who is not very effusive, loves Nici. And she sends us tons of pictures of their adventures. For the first time since we’ve had Zelda we feel we can trust someone 100% to take care of her.
And finally, we have introduced Ode To a Dog to several of our «dog people» friends who have also used Nici’s services and I have received greatful thanks from all of them.

Nici has been walking our dog Sadie for 4 years plus. She is fantastic. Sadie loves her just like she loves us! Sadie is 16 years old. I’ve no doubt her walks with Nici and friends are key to her happiness and well being. She gets to be a real dog with Nici and pack. They walk and explore together which is key to a dog’s true nature.
Nici also sits my menagerie when we are out of town. I have cats, rabbits and birds. She goes above and beyond the basics of animal care taking. She is so kind and thoughtful. She never ceases to amaze me. I feel secure having Nici in our lives.
