Been coming here when I crave rolls for lunch. Great selection of specialty rolls. Some items that we always start off with: Albacore shirtless: nice, light sear with good flavor and fresh, quality fish. Spicy Tuna Handroll: Not that big, but decent spicy tuna and nice and crunchy. I think almost every time we’ve been here we’ve gotten different rolls. Nothing has really stood out as a direct favorite, I just know that I enjoy all the rolls that come out of the kitchen. Their menu has nice pictures for each roll so you can make your selection based on that since many times the roll is named after some random girl or dude. The guys that we go with like crunchy stuff with tempura in it which you can never go wrong with. Basically we keep coming back cause its convenient for us and we haven’t found another place in the area with quite the same balance of selection and quality. What can I say, we’re fans of BAD sushi!

Decent sushi spot. Kinda pricey for the quality. Pros: + Good service + Regular Ice tea had tasted like melon Cons: — Tropicana Roll — Small portions — Pricey Details: Have had a lot better sushi for a lot less. This place isn’t bad(well it is, get it heh heh) but it wasn’t very good either. Maybe I just got a mediocre roll. I work really close by so I will probably return and try something else. Don’t recommend the Tropicana roll. It was just spicy and it had no real flavor to it. The Tropicana roll had spicy tuna and cucumber inside, topped with salmon and green onion and served with spicy sesame dressing.

Went to BAD Sushi last night and thought it was pretty good food. One review said that they use a lot of rice with their sushi and they do but they give you a pretty healthy piece of sushi with it. All the special rolls were tasty and the service was good. Another review said the hostess didn’t know English and that’s almost true. Her English wasn’t that good but hey we’re in a Japanese restaurant!

Food was great 5⁄5 but the service was bad enough to give them 3⁄5 overall. It wasn’t busy when I went in and it took an hour to get my full order(waitress forgot to put in my item) but the game was on and I had a drink. I was not in a rush so it did not bother me but when my waitress tried to double charge me(once for my original order that she never put in and I never received and once more for the time I reminded her) and gave me attitude when I explained her mistake, that was my last straw. Said I would never come back, more options in the area for better service.

Oh where do I start! I love this place! I’ve been to the Pasadena and El Segundo location and both didn’t disappoint. They have about 5 options for the non-raw roll eaters(like myself). The ambience was great at bit locations. Speaking of the location, hear two(Pasadena and El Segundo) are in prime locations; walking friendly and downtown centric. The service was great and he pricing was reasonable. I will definitely be back.

I came here with 4 friends for my first time celebrating a birthday. The place was somewhat busy so I didn’t mind the wait to be seated. Once we were seated it seemed like an eternity before we could get any service. Once we finally were able to stop someone in their tracks and get an order in it took too long to get our food. More drinks, forget about it. You’d think they’d want to sell more drinks. The food was good though. Probably the best sushi in El Segundo, there are a few other spots. Overall, I’d try it again because I’m sure it was just an off night or maybe something went wrong that threw the service staff off and the food was good enough to want to try again.

For me, it’s closer to 3 – 3.5, but any sushi spot that my hubby is okay frequenting deserves me to bump it up to a 4! Sushi is my absolute favorite, but my poor hubby is allergic to fish so I don’t get to go too often. I’m more of a sushi purist, meaning I don’t really like rolls that are overly saturated in different sauces. If you do like specialty or fun rolls, or if you have friends that are shy to try sushi, BAD Sushi is definitely your spot. Their menu is pretty extensive and they have all kinds of different fun named rolls. We love the green onion tempura appetizer and it’s decently priced at $ 4.50. My hubby and I like going here because he can get the C&C roll(sans fish!) and I get get a chirashi or sashimi that’s decent in quality and price.

I can usually judge a non-authentic, Americanized sushi place by the salmon. This salmon was way too pale and gooey. Hana Haru down the street serves much better fish for a sushi joint of this kind.

My boyfriend and I to-go from this place a lot because he lives right by it. He loves their rolls(especially Love at First Bite), but I’m more of a traditional sushi type of person, so all the sauces kinda turn me off… I always opt for a spicy tuna roll and a salmon avocado roll(i’m a basicbetch at badsushi — they’re good though) and a miso soup. This place is good for cheap sushi cravings, but wouldn’t go for authentic sushi.

Delicious sushi(it’s what brought me into sushi to begin with) My personal favorites: Fire Snow, Sweet Volcano, Cute Devils and Naughty Girls. a little pricey, but better prices than most sushi places. Friendly staff(charges for re-fills though… what is this, the 50s?)

Great selection of rolls if you’re into the saucy fusion type. I am so I really enjoyed. We had the Big Packs, Salmon Attack, BAD Angel, and Krispy Cream rolls. All were really delicious. Not too big around so I could eat like a lady. Also had spicy Edamame which was really good. Not much of a crowd in El Seg on a Friday though but that’s to be expected I guess. Oh, prices were great too. Like 10 – 12 each for our rolls.

Best And Delicious sushi? I think not. Decent sushi seems more accurate to me. Ordered the lunch special of two pieces of nigiri and one premium roll. Both were okay and the prices are good for the amount of food. Servers were nice, although both were busy during the lunch hour and thus not as attentive. How about changing to DAD sushi instead?

Short and simple… Maybe it’s because the area but this place serves smaller portions for a higher price than most $$ sushi places. Just an example… I ordered their«crispy jalapeño» and it was around 8 – 10 dollars… really should have noticed that it was singular lol because it was literally one(2 pieces). I order this pretty much at every sushi place I go to and it’s the same price but with at least 8 – 10 pieces. The food isn’t bad it’s just not as good as others that are cheaper… just doesn’t make sense. Sorry but won’t be back.

Not bad! We ordered a feast for 4 people and it ended up being $ 30/person with tea and dessert. I was expecting much more since we ordered 9 items. The star of the show was Eel Garlic Roll(Eel and shrimp tempura inside, topped with avocado and green onion, served with ponzu sauce and butter sauce). The garlic was strong and fantastic bring a new flavor with sushi. Unique and amazing. It was a crowd-pleaser! Other items that I enjoyed: Tuna Tower(Spicy tuna with tomatoes and avocado top of filed wonton skin, served with green onion and sweet & spicy sauce) — comes with 3 pieces. Albacore’s Shirtless(Seared albacore with ponzu karashi sauce and topped with fried onion and green onion) — Yum! Thicker cut than I’m used to. Sometimes served with Jalapenos at other places Crispy Tuna(Spicy tuna and avocado over crispy sushi rice served with sweet and spicy sauce and green onion) Came out hot! Like a hashbrown SCS Roll(Shrimp tempura, cucumber and avocado, topped with spicy crab salad and tempura flaked served with sweet & spicy sauce) I always love the tempura flake crispies Other rolls that sort of blended together: Tropicana Roll, Cute Devil, and B.A.D. Angel Definitely will come back to try other things on their extensive menu! Especially since there are other locations!

4.5 stars, which may get bumped up when I return. The rolls are fantastic, probably not the healthiest, by so good and some of the best I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed this place and will return. The only knock on this place is that every time I come to this part of town, I leave my wallet there. I gotta go get it.

I can almost guarantee that this place will get a 5 star review in my follow up review. FOOD: As sushi goes this place holds its own against other fancy shmancy joints in LA. The fish was super fresh, cut to the right amount and left you wanting more & more! Ordered up some rolls too. Philly, Cali and a BAD Roll(see picture submitted by yours truly). By the looks of things BAD Sushi has a creative side to it as well. Their menu had dozens of Funky Fresh named hand rolls to choose from! All of them looking mouthwatering too. SERVICE: Super nice and attentive. The servers were always alert and busy. THEWRINKLE: The place is kinda small, but not to the point that you’re elbow to elbow with your neighbor. The size of the dining area would explain the quick preparation of food. Not a lot of tables to serve. So its kind of a plus! Make ya feel exclusive. ;-) Looking forward to my next visit! ¡Ay los watcho!
