This company has always come thru for us. They are professional and feel very honest. They always seem to do a little extra then was required. We recently need to have a reinspection due to a refinance and they were able to come and inspect and treat the same day to enable us to meet the deadline for escrow. They never try and oversell their services

My roommates and I discovered we had a rodent problem and decided to call ABC company. I just can’t say enough great things about them. Lets begin by customer service, they quickly were able to fit me into their weekend schedule for a FREE inspection. I work M-​F and most companies are unavailable on weekends and CHARGE for the inspection. I was very happy that I found ABC because they came by ON TIME for the FREE inspection on Saturday and came back on Sunday to get the job done. Josh was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable and since he came by I can happily say we are Rodent Free! Keep up the good work Josh, don’t forget I still have a 1 year warranty!

Bought my house 4 years ago and relied on previous homeowner’s termite inspection that indicated no drywood active infestation. Lesson learned: Never trust sellers’ termite inspection report, even if it’s from a well known termite company. Always hire your own termite inspection company to perform a thorough inspection.
After 4 different termite companies: 2 of them from well known companies and they all indicated I had active drywood termites based on their findings. Even Diane who answered my questions seemed knowledgeable; courteous and helpful. Anyway, I scheduled a termite inspection with Already A Better Choice. Nathan arrived just at the nick of time and I was impressed by his thorough inspection (i.e. crawling in the space above the living room, and attic), attention to detail, vast knowledge about pests, and his professionalism. Nathan covered his shoes with booties to ensure he didn’t track dirt throughout the house. After his thorough inspection, Nathan showed and explained the different areas of which he discovered drywood termites as well as powdered post beetles. He discussed the various options to eradicate the termites and since I had widespread issue with the termites, the best option was to fumigate.
Other termite companies quoted lower price (s), but I didn’t trust them, since they seemed lazy in checking for any infestations and instead decided to go with ABC Termite. It made sense to schedule the fumigation while my mom was on vacation, which was only a few days away. I’ve never been through the process, so I asked a million questions and Nathan was kind enough to respond late in the evening. I was becoming stressed and frantic with only a few days away and needed to ensure I didn’t forget anything to pack away or store in the plastic bags. Unfortunately, I cancelled at the last minute, since after further research discovered other forms of eradication that doesn’t require tenting your home. But if I ever need another company for pest control, ABC is it!!! Thank you Diane and Nathan for your great customer service!!! You guys are # 1 in my book!

I highly recommend AABC. The staff is always friendly and pleasant to deal with it. I will definitely use them the next time I need pest control or termite inspection for my new home! I recommend them to all my friends and family!

I have been working with AABC over the last year on my three properties. They tented my home for drywood termites, treated two of my properties for subterranean termites, and did rat/​pest exclusion for all three of my properties. Both Nathan and Joshua are very thorough inspectors; they take their time to do the inspections, explain thoroughly anything they find during the process, and show you any pictures of any problems they see. Joshua even helped me prove that the seller of a property I was purchasing intentionally hid the fact that the property had termite problems. With his report, I was able to get the termite company who did the termite clearance to give me a free tent AFTER the escrow period ended.
Other than the inspectors, the crew and office staff are also very easy to work with. The crew is very experienced; they know how to get the job done. One of the guys have even worked for the companies for over 30 years! The office staff makes it very easy to schedule with the inspectors and crew. They do get very busy though so call as early as possible to schedule. However, when I tell them I have an emergency, they have always been able to squeeze me in.
I would refer AABC to any of my family or friends that need their services. They are reliable, trustworthy and get the job done RIGHT the first time. I wish I had found them earlier with a pest issue i had battled for over 2 years prior to finding them. Joshua and his crew took care of it on the first try and I am very grateful.

Already a Better Choice is probably one of the best termite control companies. They have a very flexible schedule which can match with a customer’s time frame accordingly without any issues. We had a very serious rat issue at our house… Their rat extermination option solved our issue in a instant. I give credits to Josh for his hard work. Is there a way to give zero stars? I called to make an appointment for an inspection. They don’t do weekends and nothing after 5pm. So I settled for a 3−5pm appointment time. After waiting for the 2 hours for the guy to show up I get a call telling me the guy who was supposed to be there is running a «little late». A little? My appointment is from 3 – 5 and you’re calling me at 5pm to tell me he’s running a little late?!? Mind you I had to get time off from work to be there. So the person that calls me asks if I can be there at 5:30 after I’ve already waited for 2 hours. I say sure I can be there. 5:40pm rolls along and here I am waiting only to receive another call saying he can’t make it till 6 or 6:30. If you guys aren’t going to make it in the time frame allotted then call at 3 to let me know don’t wait till the end of the time frame to let me know he’s late. Yea obviously he’s late! Then to ask me to go back to be there for him?!! Haha. Yea right. I left the house and I don’t plan on using them. To me that’s unprofessional. I just think it’s funny that I requested something after 5pm and the latest they could do is 3−5pm and the guy wasn’t even there till after 6 if he ever showed up at all. Already a better choice would be not using these guys and choosing someone else. Thanks for nothing.

I was in need of a termite company and after searching on Unilocal,I decided to call AABC Termite for an inspection. Nathan arrived on time and did the inspection on our home. He spent a good amount of time inspecting our home including the attics, it was a peace of mind knowing every inch of our home had been carefully and thoroughly inspected for termites. After the inspection, Nathan recommended a fumigation (tenting) to eradicate the termites found on our home. I found Nathan to be sincere, very helpful and professional. The tenting process took about 3 days, during this period, I had the chance to meet the fumigation crews, I found them to be very polite, respectful and professional. I’m glad that I went with AABC Termite, the entire crews had been very helpful answering all of my concerns and questions and communicated well thru out the entire process.

I was in a panic after finding thousands of dead termite bodies in my backyard pool, so I looked for help online and find this company from Unilocal.Joshua and his assistant showed up on time, they did a very thorough inspection of my house including the attic. After spending hours checking for signs of termites damage, they were very honest to tell me that the only thing they found is a wing of termite and my house does not need a treatment. I really appreciate companies that do not trick you buying their services, honesty is absolutely important!

As a first time customer this company scheduled me for a specified date and time which was a 2 hour window. The technician never showed and never bothered to call me. I’m a very busy person, I could have accomplished a few errands within a 2 hour time span. I’m very disappointed at the lack of appreciation and consideration from this company. I will seek out another company that actually appreciates my business.

After finding out that we have a termite problem, I was frantically searching on Unilocal for a good termite company to take care of them for me, for it really bugged me to think that every second the termites were eating away my wood floor :(
I had a few companies coming over and most of them all did the routine inspection. ABC was especially thorough, was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining the situation to me. They also provided a very competitive quote. Although at the end I went with another company because of my financial situation, I feel confident to recommend them to people who are looking for a reliable pest control company.

I was completely satisfied by the professionalism shown by the staff. They actually came out to do the work a day earlier than planned, just to help me with my busy nursing work schedule. They were courteous towards my property and cleaned up everything when they were done. I really appreciate companies that do what they promise and would recommend them highly.

I referred ABC Termite to my mother who needed a consultation on her exterior pergola and attic since she had been hearing animal movement up there. After the inspection their representative Joshua showed my mother pictures of his findings. To say the least, my mother’s attic had become a communal bathroom for all the pests in the neighborhood. He not only showed us pictures of all the fecal droppings (from rats, opossums, raccoons, and termite) but also showed us the entry points from which they were entering.
They did the following:
–Decontamination, Sanitation, and Removal of Fiberglass Insulation
–Fumigation of Termite (tenting– 2500+ sq ft)
–new TAPS Insulation installation

We were rehabbing a house for rental in Highland Park Fall/​Winter 2015 and I knew we had infestation, but I was scared to death to hire a pest control company. Who knows if they’ll tell the truth about what you need and/​or perform the work as promised? I got a glowing recommendation from a neighbor for Already a Better Choice and they did A+ work at a fair price.
Josh did an excellent, thorough inspection and the gentlemen who treated for subterranean termites were out of this world. Even though I had not initially requested this, I saw that our 50+ year old screens leading underneath the house were pretty battered and I asked if they could replace the screens. They did so and also built completely new frames for the screens. Unbelievable! And at no extra charge. Who does that? And the guys who tented were terrific and professional as well.
This felt like an old world, family business and the service was tremendous from my first call to Jacob throughout all our communication. They are in demand and I had to wait 3 weeks for the initial inspection which I really didn’t have time to do, but I was so happy I waited. Trust personified.

we had ants up the wazoo. well… not really up the wazoo, ’cause that would be a real problem. but we certainly had lots of ants and they were just coming and going all over the place!
we tried sprays, syrup and sticky traps, bait… everything. they worked some of the time (mostly syrup and sticky traps). but a few days later the ants would always come back. that’s because they actually have a den or something somewhere and THAT is what needs to be decimated!
we called these guys, they came out like 3 days later. the technician was friendly and jovial and he went around spraying spraying spraying as well as leaving some industrial strength bait that the little worker ants are supposed to carry back to the queen ant to kill her. it’s like the employees, poisoning the boss… i guess works a bitch no matter what ya do!
well whatever these guys did, i can tell you it worked. they came about 5 weeks ago and i waited to write a review to make sure the ants have been annihilated! so far… yes.
i called a few places. almost everyone will charge between $ 125 – 150, so be prepared to spend that. service here definitely 4−5-star but i’ma gonna give them a 5 because i could tell they were very earnest and honest. good service, fair pricing and most importantly… effective!

This company is lacking on customer communication and service. I’ve called several times to get an appointment re scheduled and they would say they would call back, but I would have to always initiate, same with emails. Finally got a reinspection done, and asked to be called back to discuss it, but it’s been several days and they haven’t contacted me back. We bought this home last year, the buyers used this company for termite repairs and tenting and we are currently in escrow in the process of selling the home and they reinspected it and came back with way more work needing to be done, when it just passed 1 year. How can the same amount of work be needed when it’s been just over 1 year? I have a feeling we are being taken advantage of. Still on going. Will update more when this is all figured out.
UPDATE– Everything was taken care of and properly addressed after Joshua was aware of the entire situation. He took the steps and care needed to meet us and talk through what had happened and apologized for the lack of and miscommunication we experienced.
We won’t hesitate to use them in the future, as they have our respect and customers truly in mind.

We used these guys because a friend referred us (he had a persistent ant problem and went through several exterminators before these guys finally took care of it).
We had a slightly different problem: rats. I had terrible experiences with the typical exterminators; most of them just offered to put down traps — I could do that myself, why do I need to pay you money to pick up dead rats? I want you to stop them from coming into our attic!
I called these guys up and explained our rat issue and Diana promptly assured me that they will thoroughly inspect our attic to patch up any holes and set traps to catch any rats stuck inside. Great! Exactly what I was looking for!
Someone (I think it was Anthony) came and climbed our very steep roof to inspect the outside as well as the inside of the attic. He explained to me where the rats had dug through, the cost of repairs, and set a schedule. There were a few subsequent visits to 1) repair the holes; 2) set traps; 3) check traps (2 or 3 times); 4) remove traps; 4) clean the «affected area.» Voila! Rats are gone! Yay!
We were so happy with them that we had them spray to get rid of ants too and it worked!
Now, unfortunately, we live in an area with industrious rats because within a few months I was hearing critters moving around in the attic again. I called them back and they found that the rats got inventive with tunneling (I was surprised how they even figured out where the rats were coming from given the locations they pointed out). They did the whole routine again (patching, trapping, etc.) at no charge because we were still under the one-​year warranty. I was just shocked. I think they ended up coming out two or three times under the one-​year warranty (like I said, VERY industrious rat population). I felt so bad that I tried to pay them! My offer was politely declined and I’m simply speechless. Awesome customer service and integrity!
We now basically call them every quarter to come and inspect the house for spraying and rats.
Our most recent experience was not quite as good though. I had them come out to spray because the back patio was infested with mites. The spray took care of the mites but less than a week later a cockroach somehow ended up in my bathroom. When I called to complain, I was told that certain roaches were not covered (American roaches were covered, German roaches were not, presumably because they are harder to kill; I’m sure there’s a punchline in there somewhere). Ok, I didn’t ask for ID before I stumped on the roach and I didn’t take postmortem photos (I recommend that you do to save yourself some trouble), but I know what I saw and it was an American roach (I studied the photos on Wikipedia). With some persuasive argument on the phone, I managed to get them to come back and spray again under warranty. So everything worked out ok.
They will be back again soon because now it sounds as if a raccoon has moved into the attic. Hopefully they’ll handle this like they have in the past, with perfection!

The subterranean termite treatment required drilling around our house’s perimeter. We were surprised by how carefully the crew worked, gently moving our things out of the way, and sweeping before and after drilling. For rat prevention, they completely replaced our damaged foundation screens. The finished results look great.
AABC was responsive to questions via phone, text, and email, and Diana in the office was friendly and competent. Our subterranean treatment came with a 10-​year warranty and we believe that AABC, a family business since the ‘80s, will stand behind its work. We get the sense that they truly care about customer satisfaction and doing things right.
