The Flashing Scotsman specializes in night time photography at the location of your choice. Your photographs will be beautiful, dramatic and reflect what makes you special and unique. Baby and maternity shoots are done in your own home, making for a relaxed and comfortable experience. Daytime shoots are also available, and we also have some spectacular props availalable for an extra charge. Imagine your wedding photos taken on an eight foot tall lifelike wooden rockinghorse! Yes, we can bring that to life, and we also have a unicorn for fantasy shoots.

History

Established in 2009.

The Flashing Scotsman began his career in 1977 on the Southern California Speedway racing circuit. His specialty was capturing the intense expression on a motorcycle racer’s face during the race, particularly as they went through the turns with the bike leaned over on its side and the rider’s knee dragging on the ground.

His passion for photography has only grown over the years and his subject have grown from raceway specialties to include dance performances, renaissance faire participants, fire performers, weddings, maternity shoots, and portraiture.

His clients include bellydancers, bands such as London Below, the Dirty Birdz and the Hornstars, and OptimistiChaos, as well as individuals wanting to capture special family moments such as weddings or anniversaries, the special glow of a first pregnancy, and family portraits from infancy on.
