JPM Heating and Air

Called Jason first thing Monday morning, cause of course hottest day of the year yesterday the AC was blowing hot air. Jason said he could fit us in between 1 and 3 and he was here in that time and gone also. Quick fix with some added advice and we are getting back to being cool again. And of course cannot believe how affordable it was!!! Great, quick service and good pricing, can’t beat it!!! Thanks Jason, will definitely recommend you!

What a terrific experience! We called early on a Friday morning before what was expected to be a VERY hot weekend. The individual answering the phone was pleasant, helpful, and was able to provide us with an appointment for the same day.
As the day wore one we were assured that our technician would get to us even though he was running a bit late. Tom arrived at our home in far east county at almost 5 pm and had a great attitude. When he started to enter our house the first thing he asked is if he needed to cover his shoes before walking on our floors. How refreshing! After that he diagnosed the problem with our air conditioner, gave us our options for repair as well as his opinion on what made the most sense for our situation and then made the repair. All of this was done when most people are already out enjoying their weekend.
As owners of a small service business ourselves we can highly recommend JPM Heating and Air.

I love this company. They are efficient; they know their stuff; but they treat you like family. They don’t «up-​sell» everything and their prices are fair.
And did I say – they know heating and air – any size job.
I especially love their red headed employee named lance. He’s super service oriented, smart, and he’s cute too!

Jason and his crew installed a Fujitsu space conditioner providing heating and cooling to our added on family room. His crew arrived on time went right to work and finished in a very timely manner. They were very careful and kept the job site very clean. Before leaving they cleaned up and educated me on how to program and use the remote. This is the second time we used JPM and would highly recommend them. Please do not hesitate to contact Jason for any heating or A/​C needs.

We got AC thanks to JPM! Jason came out yesterday afternoon and was able to get his team out here next day to install our mini-​split unit. Tommy and Lance did a clean and phenomenal job, and we could not be happier. We will recommend JPM to friends, family, and colleagues. Our house got to 97 degrees last summer, so now we are prepared for this summer. Thanks JPM!

Having read other reviews it seems that this company has a knack for turning a loser into a winner ! After several calls we had a guy from another company show up to ‘repair’ our unit. He did an inspection and diagnosis, left a number of screws, the fuse etc. laid out and called us from their office.
Good news ! — the compressor was still under manufacturer warrant and would be replaced…
Bad news ! — would cost us $ 1900+…
In desperation I called a number of other recommended services but none could give me an appointment in under a week, excepting my last call to Jason. Although as busy as everyone else he offered to stop on his way home that evening. And he showed up with a great attitude to help us.
Matter-​of-​factly he went through his diagnosis and found the problem to be a stuck valve which (he said) sometimes releases, sometimes not. It did release… So that was our second piece of good luck for the day !
We were charged for the inspection and nothing more, with the caution that it could happen again (but not likely). So far, so Good and it has been a couple of months with the AC used regularly.
How did the other company’s guy come up with the need to replace the compressor and it’s’ attendant parts? Jason could not (would not) say other than pointing to the end result.
To sum up:
1. Came to us unscheduled at the end of his day and on his way home. (During a heat wave) !
2. Showed up with a great attitude and without a hint that he was doing us a favor.
3. Made no guarantees before or after — just went about his work.
4. Fixed unit.
Jason made no real judgement on our previous company guy other than to shrug and point to the evidence.
A good man and a class act !
Finally when I offered to pay him above his $ 89 service fee he simply asked me to ‘pass it on’ WOW ! — For a young guy in a business that has a little of the old boy network about it (yes I talked to many people before finding him) he is a breath of fresh… and cold air …(sorry, couldn’t resist that one)
My only regret is that it has taken me this long to pass it on.
Ps. In fairness to the other ‘unnamed’ company — I did call the owner and he made several attempts to talk to me rather than leave a message. While he did not Condemn his technician for his poor diagnosis and sloppy work he did promise to deal with him and did mail me a refund check with a nice, apologetic note. Thank you for that.

JPM installed a new AC at my house at a very reasonable price. These guys were very professional, showed up when they said that they would and completed the job in just a few hours. They were very clean and respectful of my old craftsman home. Many contractors cause damage when they work on my house. I highly recommend them. They even came out again to fix a rattling vent that was bothering me.

Jason and his crew at JPM Air did a wonderful job installing a Fujitsu high efficiency ductless heat pump/​air conditioning system in my condo. Jason showed up when he was expected and completed the job as promised. This system is compact, energy star rated at 23 SEER, and is one of the most quietest units available for sale. We have used the air conditioning and it works great on all three levels of our home in Carlsbad. This unit is a very friendly unit when neighbors are close by. The HOA and board members were very particular and specified exactly the type of unit to be used and where the unit had to get placed on my roof.

We just received PROMPT service from Jason. We called other places but they were busy. This is our second time using JPM and they are reasonable, punctual and friendly. Thanks!

I cannot stress to the world how amazing this company is.
This summer, my AC has given me some hell — after getting 7 other companies to come out and tell me «you’re out of luck unless you pay $ 2000-​$ 3000 for us to fix it…» I was pretty disheartened (because I don’t have $ 2000-​$ 3000 just laying around and this unit is less than a year old).
And that’s when I found JPM. I gave it one more shot before I accepted my fate to die in this sauna I call «home»
Jason & Tommy were extremely thorough, knowledgable, punctual, accommodating and FRIENDLY! They weren’t here too long, but they didn’t need to be! They were able to point out issues that other techs were not able to find and FIX the issues that the other techs couldn’t! Within 10 – 15 minute my AC was running again (& WELL!). Tommy gave me a few tips and pointers, let me know why the AC was acting up the way it was & said that what he did should fix the problem — but worst case scenario, he’d have the part that my AC will eventually need ready to go for me (covered under warranty)!
I am so thankful to both of them!
This is officially my «go to» company for anything AC/​heating related (which after my AC’s track record this summer… I’ll need these guys as my emergency contact).

JPM installed this unit. It’s an eyesore! If you want your roof to look like this, or if you want to annoy your neighbors, this is what they can do for you.

Jason has come to my rescue yet again! Our eldest son lives in Lakeside and the sweltering heat of last weekend still found Jason and his crew at his door by 6 a.m. on a «Saturday» to install an entire new A/​C-​Heating system. Then they came back this morning to replace all the old ducting. Jason has professionally installed equipment at our home, my sister’s home, my daughter’s home as well as an investment condo for me. Without exception he is the best! Feeling the HEAT… call JPM Heating and Air. Reasonable and dependable!
