History
Established in 1989.
Kurt’s was built in the late 1930’s for Richard Hull, a founding figure in the development of Duluth. Through many years and many changes, the Hull House became Kurt’s in the fall of 1989. Since then, Kurt Eisele and his wife, Vreny, have brought an international flair to the town of Duluth. Their son Alexander continues the family tradition daily working closely with his parents to carry on the tradition.
Kurt’s has been serving first class cuisine for more than 20 years and still continues to offer a varied selection of foods spanning the entire spectrum of the culinary world. We concentrate on using the finest ingredients and offering the best food at reasonable prices.
All in all, Kurt’s & Vreny’s have carried the tradition of not only the Old South, but also that of Europe to bring together all the best of both worlds. When you dine at Kurt’s, you are reminded of simpler times when dining was a pleasure and service was unprecedented.
Meet the Business Owner
Kurt E.
Business Owner
The owner, Kurt Eisele, is as diverse as his restaurant reflects. He arrived in this country with his wife in 1965 with dreams of bringing his European influence to the kitchens of Georgia. Twenty years later, after working in some of Georgia’s most renowned restaurants, he opened Kurt’s and began his quest to bring the finest and best cuisine to not only Gwinnett, but to all of Georgia. After many awards and high praises, Kurt’s continues to be dedicated to this cause.
Today, 22 years later, Kurt’s offers a multitude of selections to satisfy even the most discriminating palate. Their son, Alexander Eisele who also had the incredible opportunity to do an apprenticeship in Germany, invites you as well to his legacy, Vreny’s Biergarten.
Together, the entire Eisele Family and dedicated staff, bring Southern Hospitality and European Charm to all who enter their historic 1930’s home.
