I came to the dealership ready to buy a vehicle but wasn’t quite sure what it was I needed in order to make the purchase. I had a lot of questions and concerns but had impromptu and professional answers from the staff at Dublin Volkswagen. After a little number crunching and help from the friendly staff I was able to come to a satisfying agreement. The sales Rep Bobby did an outstanding job at clarifying all the questions I had. Great first car buying experience!

Paul is the man if you come here tell them to have Paul hook it up he was willing to work with us to a price we were comfortable with!

Before coming here, I went to Toyota and Honda – both of whom did not offer me the deal that I wanted. Apparently, this location is now under new management, and I have to say my overall experience was fantastic. The salesman, Paul, was nice and very sweet to my dog who kept wanting to give him «kisses.» The sales manager, Dennis, gave me an extremely fair deal and helped me get to the payment I wanted. The finance manager, Mike, was engaging and not pushy. Seriously, this was the best car-​buying experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. This is the 10^th car I’ve ever bought in my life, and if I knew I would be assured such a positive exchange in the future, I would definitely come back here again and encourage others to do so as well. Thanks, guys… you rocked!

I purchased a certified pre-​owned VW from Dublin long-​distance and sign unseen because it was a low volume model (the CC) in a rare configuration (R-​Line, manual). Ray Lasela and Gary Label were a pleasure to deal with over the phone and on email. They asked a fair price and the vehicle was delivered by a reputable transport company. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the vehicle was in need of an oil change when it arrived at my home, not something one would expect with a certified pre-​owned vehicle. Ray provided a satisfactory explanation and when I took the vehicle to my local dealer the oil change was free. I’ve never visited the dealership so I can’t say anything about the service department or facilities but the sales team I worked with was prompt and professional.

I went in to look at a new VW Golf, spending about 10 minutes working with a salesperson to get a quote and asked to have the information/​price emailed to me. I have heard nothing back! What a waste of my time. Stay away, I should have heeded the numerous poor reviews.

Bryan from parts and even the service advisors were super nice. Got a great deal on some parts and that is why I buy from this dealer. The other dealer down the road in Walnut Creek is absolutely awful and attempt to sell parts above list.
Lastly Bryan even stayed a few minutes after close because I was stuck in traffic.

Love these guys. Charlie is wonderful and even when he’s not earning my business he still gives me all the info I need. Matt and Charlie always makes sure my car is done right and that I am provided a rental at the time of my drop off. They’re quick and very friendly. Highly recommend servicing here. They’ve definitely earned my business and an excellent survey everytime.

Bobby Bali was great! I live over an hour away from Dublin CA so when I arrived & the car I had looked at online wasn’t available; however, there was one that was very similar & it had lower miles. So long story short, Bobby worked his magic & got me a good deal on an adorable white convertible beetle w/​a black top! He was easy to talk to, pushy or invasive. He understood how far I had driven & really worked with me on the price & made sure I was completely satisfied with the car before I purchased it. So if you end up at this dealership, remember Bobby Bali is the man to help you. He will make you feel comfortable & WON’T make you feel pressured to make a purchase. First and foremost I’d like to thank Bobby «Anil» Bali for a ZERO pressure inquiry and subsequent purchase of my new 2016 Golf R. Bobby is one of the most hospitable/​respectable sales associates I’ve ever dealt with. He was ready to answer any questions I had (to which there were a lot) and was very eager to make sure my wife and I had whatever we needed to make this potential sale/​experience go even smoother than it was.
Bobby understood that I was well aware of what particular vehicle I wanted and what price I would pay for it. Aside from needing to double check the accuracy of the price I would pay, he handled this on his own from beginning to end aside from discussing the price on my trade-​in, which was fine. The next day, Bobby informed me that I not only left my garage door opener inside my trade-​in, he also informed me that I forgot to pickup my secondary key so it was a good way to kill two birds with one stone. Upon my arrival Bobby greeted me as personably as he had before even after he already made the sale and informed me that they would like to give me a gift to ensure that they were still dedicated to taking care of me. I have had negative experiences with other dealers after closing a deal, so this was a nice surprise!
All in all, I was and still am extremely satisfied with Dublin VW’s, and Bobby’s commitment to excellence. I understand that there are bad reviews on this Unilocal page, but I’m hoping others who read them may give Dublin VW a chance. I did.

Short story: The worst dealer experience I’ve ever had. My advise would be to buy anywhere but here.
My wife and I were shopping for a new car for her and brought along her friend who was looking for her first car. We had looked at VW cars at another dealer in a different area the day before and came to this location to comparison shop. They liked the ride of the Passat and Jetta, so that is what we said we wanted to look at. We let the saleswoman know we had previously looked at cars and what we were looking for. After we let them know that nothing on the lot seemed to be what we were looking for, the sales manager (I’m assuming) came over and tried to get us to consider and older vehicle, which we agreed to look at. Once we saw that it had un-​repaired evidence of being broken into, we decided we were not interested. This is when his persistent pushiness to have us test drive the cars started to become a problem. We again explained that the day before we had driven many cars and were looking for one that looked good on paper. He repeatedly said «drive the car, drive it, just drive the car, you have to drive the car, drive it». Until this point, I had been letting my wife speak with him, as this would be her car and she wanted to handle it, but he couldn’t comprehend that she had already driven many VW cars and didn’t like the inventory they had to offer. At this time, I again disclosed that we had previously driven the same cars at another dealership and she did not want to test drive. Half way through my sentence he began to talk over me and again told my wife to «drive the car, just drive it, drive the car». My wife was obviously frustrated with the situation and replied «I’m done, thank you» and we proceeded to leave the dealership.
The (assumed) sales manager realized his overstep and apologized to my wife. I let him know in the future, he should bring it down a notch.
On my way out there was a younger gentleman and a slimmer older gentleman with grey hair approximately in his 50’s or 60’s that was standing outside the door we were exiting from. I said to them, «You guys should tell that guy in there to bring it down a notch.»
To which, the older gentleman angrily replied, «Well that’s his job, we’re not going to miss your business»
I couldn’t believe this. I had no other interaction with this person while I was there for him to be this rude. I asked what his name was and he walked away into the dealership. I turned around and went back into the dealership to ask what his name was and he was telling everyone not to tell me his name. The (assumed) sales manager asked me what happened. I asked for the gentleman’s name and he refused to give it to me. I lastly replied that I would be sure to share my experience with anyone I could.
We had every intention of buying a VW until this experience.

The BF just purchased a used car from here, but it wasn’t ready to take home. He was informed that the car would be ready in a couple of days, but it was more like a week. No one followed up although they said they would. BF had to call for an update and was given the run around many times. When we finally got the car home, we realized that they didn’t place the temporary registration sticker in the windshield. The salesman called us and asked us to pick it up. WTF.

My wife and me visited the dealer to attempt to lease a car. We were helped by one nice guy but then we had the «douchebag» money guy appear. This guy was completely inappropriate to us including touching my knee many times. I should have punched him. Some guy named Ray or Rey. we ask really simple questions about the car and the lease and we were dismissed every time with extremely crappy dealer jokes and comments to the simple question of how much we have to put down for the lease. Which by the way is stated in the main site.
People like that guy are the ones that give the bad name to dealers and should be replaced by younger and smarter people that actually care for customers.
We will continue with our current brand of car but we are writing a letter to the main corporation about this guy. I feel bad for the sales guy because this was a done deal if the other idiot actually didn’t get in the middle.
Anyway, probably half of the things he told us were not true considering what is going on with the brand at a global level.
Good luck selling them.

I was really impressed with the Internet sales manager Nick who responded to my query on a used Lexus. He was very friendly and solicitous in his communications. His presentation of the vehicle was also very precise and went beyond answering all our questions. He went over the car fax in detail and researched info on other models we could compare with. There was also no sales pressure that I could feel but tried to get the best deal for us at the end.
Everyone at the dealership seemed very friendly and helpful also.

Dublin VW is the very best!!! I took my daughters car to Good Year on Dougherty and the new MGR Darrell lied about everything.
However Dublin VW was a breath of fresh air they turned a bad situation into a great one and we are going to buy a NEW Jetta for my daughter thanks to Matt in service, he is sincere and really a nice person. Thank you!

Stay far away from this dealership – drive out to Tracy or Walnut Creek!
There are many reasons NOT to buy a car at this location: sales people are HORRIBLE, even the internet team tries to jerk you around, not willing to find the car you want, poor customer service… Today, I am only going to elaborate on one issue.
Four months after buying a car for my daughter, we are still having issues with getting a gift card that was part of a national promotion. Ironically, during the horrendous day we spent doing paperwork and being jerked around, they conveniently ‘forgot’ to give us the promotion. I was too busy to contact VW HQ, and was pleasantly surprised when VW contacted me to admit their error.
I have filled out paperwork 3x now, spent hours of my life driving to/​from the dealership and on the phone with the VW Care people. Still no one can tell me what has happened to the original paperwork or the $ 1,000 gift card.
It’s interesting that this dealership is not listed on the
site.

Dublin VW parts team rocks! I have a 2011 GTI and I worry about it being worked on by anyone other than the guys at Dublin VW. A Special shout out to Jeremy H. Never did I expect to walk into a dealership and actually walk out with a friend in parts, who I can just text and ask any random question; never once has he ignored my text.
The last time I had car problems I had my car towed to Dublin VW, it’s a night and day difference between there and VW of Oakland. I’m not going to bash anyone but VW of Oakland should receive training from VW of Dublin.

I bought my car Fall of 2014 and get it serviced here.
Sales experience=2.5. Salesmen and even the guy in finance are aggressive. They will run your credit without telling you. Luckily I went with my brother and he kept an eye on them and negotiated the price down to a somewhat decent price. They were knowledgeable on an older model jetta and were very enthusiastic that I was interested in taking it off the lot. I bought the car with scatches on the rim but they assured me I could get them buffed out for free. I made a mistake and forgot to get it written down so the sales department didnt honor that verbal agreement. Lesson learned.
Service is more accomodating. 5 stars. Everyone’s friendly and in a good mood. I even got hooked up with a free loaner one time which I don’t expect from VW.
Front desk = 0 stars. Whoever picks up the phone in the mornings is rude and has quite the attitude in her voice.

My first review of Dublin Volkswagen was strident. They have really jerked my chain to the point that I never want to come back.
I erased that review because I disapproved both of the way I wrote about them and the way they treated me.
Currently, I’m the Duke of Dublin Volkswagen and its not because I enjoy coming here. It took nearly six months to clean up a mess they made. Mind you, they offered me a full detail and oil change but frankly, after what we have been through I never want to come back.
While the product is good here the sales department is not. Be prepared for unprofessional behavior, shenanigans of all kinds, foot-​dragging, mistakes, etc. I would be a fool to accept anything they offered at this point and a bigger fool in darkening their door. Frankly, my problems with their mismanagement (and begging for five star Unilocal reviews) is over and so is my relationship with this car dealership.
Please, Dublin Volkswagen don’t bother calling, writing, explaining yourself or anything else. This relationship is over!

I’ve purchased 3 cars from these guys. The first I rented a 2012 Jetta, and while the guy that sold me a car wasn’t the «coolest» guy I’ve ever met, the experience was fine.
Then came when I went to trade it in. I got a call from Alex saying that they wanted to have me trade in my lease and put me in a new one, for around the same monthly price. Great! I’m over my mileage allowance anyway. This is perfect!
I set up an appointment to speak with Alex. I was running late, so I called to let them know my wife and I would be 10 minutes late for the appointment. When we arrived, we checked in with the receptionist, and then no one got to us for over 30 minutes. Some guy noticed us sitting and asked if we’d been helped. He had huge coffee stains all over his shoulder of his shirt. He said he didn’t really even sell cars, he was there to help manage the financing department.
We ended up finding a car we liked, and they had a used car I was interested in buying as well. So we bought 2 cars. Great!
We didn’t research the price of the second (Mercedes c250) and it turned out that we overpaid at least 3k for it, and more likely 5k. My bad. They got me good.
When I called to say that I was fairly unhappy with the treatment, they gave me a huge run around. It took 2 weeks to finally talk to the sales manager. He offered me 2 free oil changes and tinting my wife’s windows. He told me he would make it up to me on the next car I bought from them.
Now I’m getting direct mail from them again trying to buy back the 2012 Jetta (that I’ve already sold back to them). They have a gimmick marketing campaign where you see if your number matches the number in their show room. Except that they don’t actually have a number in their show room. Just give them a number and they’ll call you back when they get their number to let you know if you won.
Shady sales. Not organized. They’ll rip you off, even if you’re buying 2 cars at once (seems like they would give you a deal in that place, not bend you over the table and have their way with you).
Just bad bad people here. Reception never has an idea where they should transfer you. I can’t say enough about how much I dislike this dealership, and this marketing campaign put me over the edge.
