I want to take this moment to thank Mason Lawson, of Ken Harvey’s Dublin Mazda. I noticed Mason shortly after entering the lot and felt it was something special about him. He ended up assisting my husband and I as we weighed our options of keeping our Toyota Sienna or trading it in for the Mazda MX-​5 Miata. He was very kind, courteous, and helpful as we completed the process. The Sales Manager, Reyes Garcia was willing to work with me on my terms in order to make the payments affordable! Thanks to the entire team.

I have had the same car for almost 14 years. My husband and I researched and looked at cars for months. When I finally decided I was interested in the CX-​5 my husband reached out to a few places online. Garth got back to him immediately and set up a time to meet with us.
When we got there, Garth had the car in the color I had mentioned pulled aside. When I became a little indecisive about the color and interior he happily showed us more options.
Once we decided to buy, Garth kept the process fun. He was not pushy on any of the extras and gave us all the information we needed to make those types of decisions on our own. Overall it was a great experience and a pleasure to work with Garth on such an important purchase.

I was on my way to class today and suddenly realized I couldn’t answer a call…“Bluetooth” problem. I called Mazda and spoke with «Jesse» and told him I’d like to stop by on my way to class. He said «come on by» when I arrived discovered that I needed software update. Jesse arranged for Carlos to drop me off at my class. My Bluetooth issue was fixed as well as a factory recall {A/​C refrigerant leak}. Carlos picked me up from class promptly at 3pm. When I got back to Mazda Jesse tested my Bluetooth/​phone to make sure everything was working properly and off I went. A very satisfied customer. Thanks Jesse & Carlos for making my day flow smoothly.

I bought Mazda 2016 cx-​5 Turing from Fremont Mazda, found rattling metal noise in the back of the car, I took the car to Fremont Mazda service department, they could not fix the problem, instead my car was damaged while the car was there for two days, they denied knowing anything about it, I was really mad at Fremont Mazda, filed hit and run with policy department, the accident location is Fremont Mazda.
Then I read some good reviews about Dublin Mazda on Unilocal,I took my car to Dublin Mazda, my service manager was Jesse, left the car there for two weeks, they found the problem was damaged metal clips inside the rear door, not working the way they supposed to, they fixed the problem, I got the car back, and the rattling noise is gone !!! the car has only 4000 miles, it still has valid warranty, the repair service is free.

If I could grant higher than 5 stars I would. I bought my car in concord back in December 2013 and it was about to go out of warranty. Literally right on the edge of expiring. I had a cracked seam on my drivers side seat, both rear seat lowering pulls disconnected, and my transmission was messed up so I couldn’t push button turn off my car without forcing the shifter into park. Lots of shoddy manufacturing IMO.
I called and set up an appointment here because it was close to my home, came in and waited a few hours because I told them I didn’t have a ride or another car (I think they put my car ahead due to that) and after the seat pulls worked and recall was fixed. The young lady who was very pleasant named Kristin had taken some photos of my seat which had to be submitted to Mazda USA (I never thought they would cover that) and order the transmission parts. About 3
Weeks later I got a call saying the parts were in, they set me up with a free loaner and I was on my way. They replaced the seat bottom no question and fixed the tranny within a week and I just picked it up today and was out in minutes. Love this place. Buying a car is half the battle and servicing it is usually a pain in the butt, however they made it not only pleasant but made me want to come back! Also look in the pics for their amazing coffee machine of which I had to use every time I went.

I am a returning customer. I was content with prior purchase (2016 Mazda6 GT). So I figured I would come right back to purchase another vehicle. This one would be a gift for my mother. I communicate with the internet sales manager and he provides an itemized price for the vehicle. I advise that I will be in on Saturday to test drive and he agrees. I arrive on Saturday and we cannot locate internet sales manager. No problem because I never provided a time when I would arrive and after about 10 minutes later someone else was able to provide a quick test drive.
I email sales manager on Monday and request meteor gray CX-​5 GT and he responds with price and availability. I agree to come in on Wednesday to discuss and work on final price. I receive communication on Wednesday afternoon that the vehicle is sold but he can locate similar/​same car at another dealership with an additional $ 200 for transfer fee. Ok, no big deal.
I arrive on Wednesday at 5 (left work early and work in SF). I meet sales manager and he immediately advises me that cars price has increased $ 1k since he provided price 48 hours ago. I asked why did he not conveye this to me prior to my arrival. He claims to have sent me an email that he can never find. I say ok and leave. I am in and out within 3 minutes of my arrival after leaving work 2 hours early and + 1 hour commute. I come home and feel pretty upset about the price change and lack of communication. I reach out to the GM and he agrees to honor initial price and assures me dealership will make it right. I agree to another visit this upcoming Friday.
Prior to arriving I agree to a different color (Sonic silver) as the meteor gray is currently not available. Prior to my arrival sales person calls me confirms I will still make it and that vehicle is READY for delivery. I arrive with my family (new born son, wife, brother, and sister-​in-​law) as this is a gift for my mother and our hope is to finally present her with her gift this evening. We arrive at 6:15 I see vehicle and we begin to complete paper work. At 7:30 we have a problem. Apparently, no one knew that the car I was about to be sold had +4,500 miles on it. They apologize again and offer to possibly sale me this one at a discounted price, but would not give me the price as they feel that it is not much of a discount. They assure me that they found another car at another dealership and it will be available tomorrow. This vehicle has a little more options but the say «we will eat the cost» since they made the mistake and wasted my family’s time. I still have patience, so I agree.
I receive a call the following day expecting to hear «Your car is ready for pick-​up», but instead I hear that the car we discussed and agreed upon yesterday evening will only increase my payments by $ 15.00 a month. I say, «you advised me you would eat the cost due to your errors». They respond, «I am sorry for the inconvenience and understand if you take you business elsewhere. We appreciate your patience and sorry for the inconvenience».
The next day I communicate with the MAZDA OF FREMONT. I speak with Young Chi. We agree on a price over the phone and I am in out of the dealership within 2 hours.
Dublin Mazda has forever lost my business, along with my family, and anyone else who asks me my opinon of this dealership (I get asked pretty frequently as mazda vehicles are sleek and attract positive attention).

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I recently found myself in need of a new car. After a week of online shopping, I finally settled on a Mazda. My parents had just bought a Mazda themselves from Ken Harvey’s Dublin Mazda and had been raving about their experience there since. More specifically, about their experience buying their car from Garth Wall and John Sutfin.
So we went their last Saturday to see if Garth and John were working that day. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the experience of car shopping, as it had been 8 years since I bought a new car. However, as soon as Garth came out and started helping us, that feeling dissolved. He was supremely friendly. He remembered my parents right away even though it had been a few months since they were there and treated us like we were old friends. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cars I was looking at, and about the different deals they were offering at the time that I would qualify for. And most importantly, he wasn’t pushy in his dealings with us, he was very patient and explained all the aspects of the vehicle and advised me on what car would best fit my needs. So I didn’t feel like I was being pressured into buying a car that day.
Then in the end he steered us towards John Sutfin, the Financial Manager, who was also friendly, and knowledgeable about the financial side of car buying. He was able to work with the bank to get me a great interest rate, which brought the monthly payments to a level that I knew I could afford.
Considering all of the aspects of both my experience and my parents experience at Dublin Mazda, I would definitely recommend it to any of my family members or friends who are thinking about purchasing a car. If you are in the market, stop in and see Garth Wall. I guarantee you won’t regret it.

Called in the morning he picked up and was very corteous. Had the car ready for me to come and test drive right away. Test drove it, talked about it, and inspected it myself. Everything was on point.
Kevin is the man to go to if you want straight nice guy service.

Horrible customer service from Bruce. We drove from San Diego to look at a car with the full intent to purchase. Needless to say the 10-​year-​old vehicle had a lot of wear and tear. I would not have purchased it but my husband insisted. My husband discovered that the fog lights weren’t working while he was looking the car over. We were discussing privately what we were going to do, whether or not to purchase, renegotiate the price, etc. Bruce came up to us and said he didn’t know what we wanted, if we were still interested because we weren’t saying anything, at least not to him. Well, we wouldn’t have said anything to him until we were done discussing the car. And then as a typical sleazy car salesman, he threw out that someone was going to look at the car in a couple of hours. We drove 500 miles to look at the car and he was questioning our intent.
He was not friendly or professional at all. I do not recommend this place, at least based on my experience with this particular sales person. I read some of the great reviews and it does look like they have good staff here, so if you decide to come to this dealership, avoid this guy.
About the car, it remains to be seen if we bought a lemon or not.

Gregory Gutierrez is the person to go to at this Mazda! Very attentive, let me test drive and look at various CX-​5s. Very polite, professional and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. The financing process had no hitches and there was nothing hidden about the process. I went all over the central valley (Stockton/​Tracy/​Sacramento dealers) looking for a specific CX-​5 and only Dublin came close to what I was looking for. Gregory made sure he could meet my car needs and success! I’m a very happy car owner.

I bought a used non-​Mazda vehicle here awhile back and overall I am very displeased with this dealership. They will take advantage of you if you’re not on your game, but that’s any dealership and not solely the reason for my review. Steer clear of Reyes if you’re looking at used cars.
I was told the car I bought was owned by one owner, non-​smoker. It was true about the one owner, but after a few weeks of ownership it reeked of smoke. My passengers would ask me if I’ve been smoking. I later discovered ash on the cigarette lighter heater coil and burn marks behind the driver’s seat. I felt like they tried to cover this up because the ash tray was shiny and brand new; with its part sticker freshly applied.
I later discovered that the car was in an accident and not disclosed. Vehicle came with a clean title, but later to my dissatisfaction I found problems with the front end. First, the front bumper was misaligned. Secondly, there were many missing pop-​clips that hold in the wheel-​well shroud and splash guards that were missing completely from underneath. Lastly, missing bolts that hold on the bumper and cheap paint. Probably should have inspected the vehicle better myself, but I really think they should have disclosed this.
2 star review for the dishonesty, buying experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, and strict unwillingness to negotiate on a 10 year old used car. Plus side, the buyer’s remorse is a great learning experience for me. Don’t let this dealership take advantage of you. They had the beer out ready to celebrate the sale before I even had my keys.

I came here with my parents on a Saturday morning to handle some car business. Both of them were seeking new rides and having me take over payments on my Dad’s 2012 Mazda 3 that he leased a few years back.
We all drove off very satisfied as they both got new cars. We were very impressed by the crew here, especially Garth! He came out and remembered my parents and what models they were intrested in as they came by a couple days before. Garth worked with us and customized our experience to reach our needs.
Everyone at Dublin Mazda treats their customers well that you feel more than «just a customer». I highly recommend if you’re looking for a car in the East Bay!

Sometimes its not about getting the «best» deal. From a statistics standpoint there will likely always be a better deal out there somewhere if you look long and hard enough. With car buying a lot of this need to feel that we’ve outfoxed the dealer (which will never happen, seriously not ever, trust me I’ve seen some wholesale auto costs) is more psychological than anything.
At the conclusion of your transaction after all the bluffs, rep walks out of the office to consult with a manager, price negotiations, options etc., do you feel that you got a FAIR or GOOD deal, did the representative make it a pleasant experience and are you happy with the vehicle you drove off in?
If the answers are yes then relax and enjoy your car!
I believe a couple dealerships further out could have beat Dublin Mazda as far as price quotes but I walked in with specific terms in mind and geographic convenience is admittedly appealing as I was not thrilled with traveling all the way to Fremont or Concord on public transportation unless it was absolutely necessary.
Stated I wanted drive off costs to be no more than $ 1000, monthly payments under $ 200 and a specific color. It took a few hours but we got there. If you have set criteria in mind that isn’t wildly outside the realm of possibility and know that your credit profile qualifies you for the best terms offered then stick to your guns. Be pleasant but firm and if you feel you aren’t getting what you need then try a different dealership. But if you express reasonable expectations then the good people here will work with you. They want you to continue coming back and seem to value your business. Next time though I believe they can do better for me. ;) I look forward to round two in three years.

First, we arrived prepared — with a car in mind. This is usually half the battle for most.
Having used an online service (which directed us to a different dealership for the «best price») our main intention was to simply test drive the Mazda 3 and if we liked it we were to head to a different dealership the following day.
MICHAEL BARRILLEAUX, the great; was our sales consultant. He took us on the ABSOLUTE BEST test drive. Literally, he goes the extra mile to really show you what the car can do. Hills, freeway, bumpy road, curves, etc. We did it all. His route is calculated and he knows the product. We decided to negotiate, interested if Dublin Mazda could meet or beat the price we had in mind. We left to think on the deal. Made some calls and test drove another make/​model nearby. We found ourselves back at Dublin Mazda 30 min. before closing time. Dublin Mazda wants you, this is the difference. They want your business and not only just to sell a car (while we all know that is the main reason) they want you to COME BACK, to refer others, to leave good reviews — for that I vote, hands down 5 stars. I will go back and I will refer everybody I know.
