After 15 years in the home décor design and manufacturing industry, I took a leap of faith and started Chad Esslinger Design, a multi-​faceted creative services company.

I have been designing for as long as I can remember. I believe that great design is contemporary but timeless, simple but elegant. My approach to any design project is to stay true to my personal design philosophy while maintaining mass appeal.

I have traveled the globe to identify trends, work side by side with manufacturing, and present design strategies to clients. I have collaborated with top universities, sponsoring design projects and conducting guest lectures. As a natural progression to my product design work in home décor, furniture and tabletop, I also partner with homeowners to create beautiful and functional living spaces.

We hired Chad Esslinger to help us update two bathrooms in our home: a powder room and our children’s bathroom. Chad helped us select materials and finishes which updated the overall look and feel of these rooms, all while ensuring they flowed with the remainder of our home. He consulted on cabinet finish & design, counter top selection, floor tile and all the finishing touches (e.g., mirrors, faucets, lighting, paint). He also accommodated our work schedules so that we could meet face-​to-​face to pick materials. We are extremely happy with the end result! Not only are the rooms beautiful and functional for our family’s needs, but they each have design elements we wouldn’t have chosen on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent working with Chad and would recommend him to anyone looking for design consultation!

We hired Chad Esslinger Design to help decorate our basement. The rest of the house was mostly completed and the basement was the hardest to finish. We were looking for something that fit our personality and lifestyle. Chad came up with ideas that we automatically loved and was a perfect fit for us. He was easy, flexible and fun to work with. He even recommended items that we loved, but out of our comfort zone and would have never chosen on our own. I love going downstairs and seeing the bright colors and fun spaces he created. I would recommend him and would use him again!

When he came to my home for consultation we created a five step plan for kitchen updates. This included painting of cabinets, staining of Cooktop Island, light fixtures updated, add tile backsplash and a new island counter. Chad understood I had a budget and his charges were reasonable. He hired and paid the workmen and he checked frequently to see how they were doing. Chad has a great eye for color and design and I was very pleased with his ideas and the outcome.

Chad Esslinger is a gifted design artist. Chad helped us with paint color selections for our home, as well as lighting fixtures, and designed our livingroom which currently is a model for several sites including Houzz, Pinterest, and Chad Esslinger designs.
Everyone who sees Chad’s work here is highly impressed.
Chad worked very hard in making our dream home come true, and we could not be happier!

We hired Chad Esslinger to assist in paint color and flooring selections prior to updating a town home that we were moving into. While it was a small job for him, it had a huge impact on us. We downsized, wanted to use existing furnishing, maintain the traditional style of the home, but give it some life and personality. He took into account our tastes, but encouraged us to go a bit deeper in colors that we might not have had the confidence to do so on our own. We are very pleased with the results. He is a design professional, but very accommodating with scheduling, tastes and budget. He is a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend and would trust with a job much larger.

We hired Chad to help us with a very dated 450 sq ft condo. Chad had great vision, yet allowed us to incorporate our own personal tastes. He listened to what we had to say and our preferences, and then he proceeded to find great deals and beautiful products. He met with our contractor to make sure our collective vision would and could be applied.
The space turned out amazing. I would, and have, recommended chads services to everyone who is interested in a remodel. He is passionate about his work, yet doesn’t force his personal tastes on you (although I love his taste!).
