In 1986, Tony was a senior in college when his mother, Judy, inherited a run-down, out-of-business pizza place in Denver with whitewalls and a fluorescent-lit dining room. Undaunted, Tony opened his pizzeria with a $ 300 loan from his Uncle Chuck.
Tony used his family’s authentic recipes to create a wholesome menu of Italian comfort food that would nurture and satisfy customers. Since money was tight, he relied on his creativity and determination to create a neighborhood gathering place where everyone felt welcome. Using reclaimed materials, mismatched tableware, architectural castoffs, and art from local artists, the décor justly reflected Tony and Judy’s philosophy of life — accept everyone’s unique traits, without judgment or pretense.
Now, 29-years later, Tony and Judy continue to serve their family recipes and authentic Italian food at Tony P’s, with restaurants in Highland and on 17th Avenue.

We have an amazing happy hour, enjoyable patios, cater events and business meetings, and offer free delivery to most locations in Denver.
