The firm’s founding goal was to level the playing field between accident victims and large insurance companies, and the firm’s core practice area is still personal injury law. Over time, Bachus & Schanker’s practice areas have broadened to include Workers Compensation, Social Security disability and all forms of plaintiff’s employment law. The firm is also heavily involved in national plaintiff’s litigation addressing a variety of defective medical devices, products and dangerous drugs. The firm’s trial practice is fully mature.

J. Kyle B.

Business Owner

An advocate in the courtroom, the legislature and the community, Kyle has worked to fight injustice and protect Colorado consumers. In 2013, Kyle led the Bachus & Schanker trial team in achieving the largest personal injury verdict in the state of Colorado. Through his work with legislation, he has been able to help change Colorado laws to benefit all residents. He is deeply involved in the community through the firm’s Cares Foundation and also his pro-​bono work; helping one of the emergency medical responders who suffered disabling injuries in the ⁹⁄₁₁ attacks is one of Kyle’s most inspiring wins.

For the past nine years, Kyle has served as the co-​chair of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Auto Litigation Committee. Lawdragon (a national legal publication) lists Kyle as one of «The Top 500 Leading Personal Injury Lawyers in America.» He has been named every year since 2007 to the list of Colorado Super Lawyers in the field of plaintiff’s personal injury law.
