Carla D.

Business Owner

Carla Dore, the first female President of Herman Miller’s Colorado dealership, began her career as an interior designer in Chicago. She started at Workplace Resource Colorado in 1991 as a salesperson and quickly worked her way up to become Sales Manager of the entire sales team. In 2002 she became President of the dealership and in May 2011 she purchased the dealership from Herman Miller, making it one of the few woman-owned Herman Miller Certified Dealers in the country. Following this move to independent ownership, the company subsequently became a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), and the following year received its Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) Certification. Over the last 20 years her passion, resolve and emotive style of leadership have been the most notable elements of her character.
