Loved the tour. The guide was so informative and funny. Loved the 21 year history of the brewery and how they give back to the community. The beer was delicious.

Neat, fun brewery. Staff is friendly and cool. Very chill with outside patio and good size room located behind the bar with high top tables.
The my have brewery tours but do not give tastings on the tour, so purchase your beer prior and bring on the tour.
Parking is a bit tricky. Will have to park in the lot behind or across the street on other side of the Lobby but have to pay.

I enjoyed the beer. Ruined by a horrible little bearded douche of a bartender. In a city with tons of great breweries, I’ll never go back to this one.

I’m not a big beer fan… I went up to the bartender and told her such. She turned around and poured me 3 beers in tasting glasses… they were not sips by any means. She told me to start at the light and work my way to the dark. The first light beer was really good (and I’m sorry I don’t remember their names)…the middle amber colored I didn’t care for, and the dark beer was thick and smooth (insert joke here).
Needless to say, if they can take a girl that makes yucky faces when trying beer to say she actually enjoyed it, it must be good!

Where do I start about Great Divide, seriously this place deserves more than 5 stars!
I was recently in Denver for a trip and stopped by their brewery after grabbing a bite to eat. We ended up here right during happy hour which was a perfect time because is was crowded enough to have a great vibe. The bar is decked with lots of wood just like a brewery in the Rockies should be. Their bar is located in the front of the location. They also have a table that runs along the way that you can stand against. In the back they have sit down tables along with another standing. Behind this back seating is the actual brewery.
My friend and I tried a few different beers. I had the Yeti, which I think is their go-​to beer along with the Denver Pale Ale. Both were delicious! Love that you can grab beers that were brewed feet from where they are poured. I wish I could’ve tried more while I was there.
Another great experience we had was the beer tour! We walked in and saw people going. We asked the bartender how to be apart of it and he informed us that there were two left for the day. We were handed playing cards, which is how they kept tracked how the number of guests on the tour, and waited. Shortly after we were able to experience and wonderful tour! We went to all the barrels and silos and got in depth look at how beers are brewed. It was phenomenal!
I highly recommend stopping by Great Divide for a beer and tour when you are in town!

Please get the chocolate oak yeti beer, the best stout beer I ever tasted! Unfortunately we missed the brewery tour but glad that we still got to sample 8 of their beers. The bar also have finger foods to accompany your beer.

After having had the «Oak Aged Yeti» at a beer festival in Seattle several years ago, I made it a point to note Great Divide as one of my necessary stops in the future. I happened to be spending a weekend in Denver so I finally had a shot. Having walked here from a hotel I was staying in downtown Denver, I can say I was not disappointed.
I had a sampling of almost all of their beers, including the 3 Yetis (Yeti, Oak Aged Yeti, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Yeti). All of the beers were great and the samples were extremely cheap and sizable. This is definitely one of my favorite breweries (based on beer alone).
Do yourself a favor an make the stop.

When you’re in Denver, and you’re a beer snob, you cannot possibly skip this place. Like all area breweries, you can select a teeny tiny pour for $ 2 – 3, sweet and then go up forom there. The Yeti Nitro, just get it!
It was pretty chilly out so we opted to stick with the dark beers, and this is THE place to drink the dark beers.
The selection is huge with offerings I dont’ see in AZ, the staff was knowledgable and friendly. They do offer tours, but honestly, I’ve been on so many and I brew at home, so I’m kinda over the tour. But others said ti was a great one.

What a fun spot with good beers. It was incredibly packed when we first arrived (around 4pm on a Saturday). The 4pm tour had already started and the 5pm tour was full. We luckily were able to snag spots for the 6pm tour; the brewery is actually quite small so they can only accommodate about 20 people per tour. The tickets for the tour are the labels from their beer bottles, I thought that was pretty nifty. We had two hours to kill, but the tasting room was overwhelmingly crowded that we could barely move! We headed to the lobby (another bar next door) and decided to come back later.
The tour itself was a little difficult to pay attention to. They had a woman talking about the brewery, but it was incredibly loud and she didn’t have a very big voice to carry over all the noise. In her defense, I think my friends and I were being a little obnoxious. But it’s a brewery! We were there to have fun and drink beeeer! The bartenders actually joined in on our little side party during the tour. They were real fun and entertaining. I do feel a little bad for interrupting the poor tour gal though (maybe :-P).
My gf gave one of the bartenders the job to grab us other girls a drink to have during the tour. He brought my other friend and I the Colette. Apparently, this is there best seller. I was not really a fan. It kind of reminded me of a hef, and was kind of bland. I sent him back to try again. He then brought me the Hercules double IPA, now that’s more like it! The titan IPA was a winner as well. I wish I got to sample more of their beers, but we got a little rowdy and needed to move on *shame*. But I definitely want to come back here and taste more of their beers.
I would personally just skip the tour and go straight to the bar. The bartenders were great and gave good recommendations on beers and even other bars to go to. Worth stopping in!

Came in for the free tour and sampled 6 of their beers. Some I liked more than others. Staff was friendly and very informed. While the beer was great it screamed out for some food (like fries or a burger) to compliment it.

I finally made it in the visit one of my favorite, local breweries! Ordering a Titan IPA from the source was a pretty special event. Getting to try six other excellent beers for $ 1 each was even better.
As many have said, the tasting room is «intimate». It was crowded when we arrived but cleared out a bit after a brewery tour started and a portion of the crowd joined in.

I was just driving in Denver to my dinner spot when I passed this location and thought it looked like a nice and lively place to be. I went to dinner with my friends as planned, but then we decided to head back and check out the Great Divide, and I’m glad we did! It definitely was a nice and lively place to be. There’s a bunch of tables in the back room to sit and enjoy some drinks with a group, otherwise the bar area in the front was pretty bustling for the Friday night we were there. The beer and food was all-​around delicious; I particularly enjoyed the Yeti.

Excellent beer! They have a bunch of different versions of the Yeti. I’m not sure which one I like best. I enjoyed their taproom area although it’s a little tight around the bar. It was bustling, but the service wasn’t bad. The bartender was very informative and made excellent recommendations based on other beers that we liked. We sat on the porch and were heckled by a homeless man telling bad jokes. It wasn’t bad, but he wouldn’t leave.
Keep brewing awesome beer!

After arriving to the city from an early morning flight, the second thing we did after good was grab a beer. The boy and I came on recommendation from a friend who used to live here. Boy were we glad.
You can try a bunch of different beers but my favorite is Colette, the farmhouse ale. Easy to drink, and just all around great and balanced. I’m not quite exactly sure what that means but that’s the first thing I thought of as a way to describe Colette. It’s also so good that our Airbnb host has a keg of Colette in his garage.
Also, bartenders are well versed in their knowledge of the beers. Stop by, you won’t regret it!

Pretty good local brew here at cheap prices. It’s not too social here cuz it’s too loud. You know how loud «kiddy drunks» can be.
Still, great prices. 3 for $ 3 sampler’s totally the bargain.
Love the music played here (M83, Passion Pit).

How lucky am I to live in Denver where the beer flows freely and one of the best breweries in the country has planted their flag smack in the middle of the city?
I have certainly drank my fair share of Great Divide beer and probably some of your share too.
I love the Yeti. This is by far my favorite beer from GD. Though the Oatmeal Yeti is a very close second. They are both dark, nutty and delicious. DPA, Titan IPA and Claymore (their scotch ale) are always tasty. I have yet to encounter a beer I wouldn’t drink again. Though I have to qualify that by saying I have never tried their wheat beers because wheats just aren’t my thang.
Now for the brewery itself! It’s not very far from the ball field and it’s always busy. Always a good sign right? There isn’t much indoor seating so get their early, be prepared to sit outside or just be patient. The patio is full sun so keep that in mind and bring sunscreen if you are tan challenged like I am!
The bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. They have always been happy to answer my questions or give reccomendations on the seasonals.
They have free tours going on throughout the day. Though I have yet to go on one, I think you just let the bartender know that you would like to join the next one and that’s that.
They don’t serve food inside but every time I have been there a food truck is parked right out front.
I have to say, the beer always tastes great but tastes even better when you’re drinking it there at the brewery.

Great divide, I write this to you. I love you. From the first day we met you stole my heart. I’ve watched you grow up and you have become a mature watering hole for thirsty souls in search of great beer. You’ve done it my friend.
Your employees are awesome. They speak of the owner (Jeff) in the highest regards. This makes me want to drink even more of your beer.
Your beers are nothing short of fantastic. Titan, yep. Oak aged yeti, yep. Oatmeal imperial yeti, yep yep. Hercules, oh Hercules, .moment of silence. Ok…
Your tours are getting better and better and nice addition to adding a sampling at the beginning. I’ve been on several tours and your people know how to handle the loose and obnoxious canons that look like they migrated from Vanderbilt and are making Denver look silly. You know who you are people — You wear your raybans with croakies and pink Bermuda shorts with boat shoes peeled right out of magazine probably called Freshman.
Yeti, here’s to you my man (glasses raised… toasting to you). Thank you for all the good memories and the ones to come. Jumping high five and finishing the beer… now.

Out of all the brewery stops we made in Denver, Great Divide Brewing Company was the most packed and literally buzzing with people, and for good reason! Great Divide was hands down my favorite brewery in Denver. First off, customer service was top notch. Even though it was busy inside, we were greeted within seconds of standing at the bar, and were served quickly thereafter. My husband and I opted to get three 16 ounce samples for $ 3 from the beer menu. I tried the Hoss Rye Lager, Denver Pale Ale, and Nomad Pilsner. While I wasn’t a fan of any of the beer samples, I’m sure true beer connoisseurs would appreciate what Great Divide has to offer.
After sampling some beers, we signed up for a free beer tour. Our tour guide was super informative. We were able to see the back-​of-​house operations and even the bottling machine! Our tour guide also shared with us how excited Great Divide was to launch aluminum cans vs. glass bottles. She was pretty much a beer expert and answered everyone’s questions without missing a step.
Great Divide Brewing Company comes highly recommended by locals and should be added to any craft beer seeker’s list while exploring the city.

My Favorite Brewery in Denver Colorado!
The Yeti is my favorite beer that they make. Smooth and creamy which they now make a smokey and chocolate version. They both were incredibly delicious. The chocolate oak aged Yeti that comes in the nitro version is so tasty. The nitro makes it smooth and creamy stout. The Smoked Yeti is not to overpowering with the smoked taste. They also brew a variety of beers. The taproom in the brewery is small but it gets the job done. They also do tours throughout the day which are Free! The staff is very kewl and knowledgeable of their beers. They don’t serve food but there’s a foodtruck parked outside serving food which you can have at your table. Also you can purchase some tshirts and other merchandise. They also fill up growlers and have bottled and can beers to go.

I love Great Divide. Love them. Orabelle and Colette are two of my favorite beers. I was adamant that we visit this place before leaving Colorado because how could we skip it?
Now that I’ve been once… once is probably good enough for me.
I don’t blame them for their popularity. It was a frikkin’ madhouse in there and the entire atmosphere stressed me the hell out, but I hate loud, crowded places. (Why do I visit breweries, you’re probably wondering. Who knows?) I love that people love their beers and want to patronize their business — good for them! I hope they stick around for a long time.
The service, though, really kind of sucked. My boyfriend went up to the bar and I was standing right behind him. I had no option, honestly, because it was so damn crowded. He waited for like ten minutes to get our beers. Not because they were so slammed, but because the bartenders kept serving women that walked up to the bar after he did. I watched some girl just push right in front of him and she got served immediately, even though he had been standing right at the bar, trying to order for five minutes already. I told him to just close out because there was no way I was going to order more beers here.
I don’t know if the service he received was nice when he finally was served because I told him we needed to chug our beers and get the hell out of there. I couldn’t handle it and wanted to be able to hear my own thoughts again.
They did let us change our metal sign, though. They originally handed him the Yeti sign, which was cool, but they let us change it to the Orabelle sign no problem.
The beers are rock solid and I really do love Great Divide Brewing. They’re popular and they’ve earned that popularity. The service needs a little work, though. Not that that’s going to put them out of business or anything — clearly they don’t need to be extra friendly because of the sheer number of people that are there on a regular basis. And I’m sure they don’t give a shit that we didn’t buy another two beers. It would just be nice, ya know?
Keep on keepin’ on, Great Divide. You’ve still got a fan in me.
