A Personal Touch Recovery

Zero stars, without a doubt. As you can see from other reviews, this is a completely irresponsible company. My scooter — yes, 200lb, cousin of a bicycle, can be parked on a sidewalk, scooter — was towed by this company (pretty ridiculous). They requested $ 300 to retrieve from impound, insisting it was the same amount of manual labor as a car. The real thrill came when they rolled my scooter out and it was severely damaged, I thought someone had literally taken a bat to it. All the while the employees are condescendingly smirking and laughing at me while I am visibly upset by the situation.
The next day it was determined that my 6 month old scooter was totaled, and the scooter experts agreed it was due to falling off the tow truck at a speed of 30mph+. One employee stated «yea, this is what my bikes look like when I crash them, you wouldn’t be alive if this damage had happened while you were on it.» The rubber on the handle bar was literally road burned off. So clearly their requested $ 300 for manual labor was a complete ripoff seeing as how they failed to even secure the scooter as they claimed. Very unsurprisingly I received no explanation, apology, or details of what happened from this tow company. They insisted their driver found it like that, which is obviously entirely false. They refused to give up their insurance information and to properly reimburse me for my hefty loss. Furthermore, I was literally harassed on the phone by their hot head driver who was insisting he «had a guy that would fix it for cheaper» — ha! as if anyone in their right mind would trust this guy after his irrational behavior. He wanted to meet up with me one night to «give me some cash» — and once I told him I wouldn’t accept partial payment, he progressively got louder and more disrespectful. It was obvious they felt they could take advantage of or outsmart me because I am a young woman — but let me tell you, they were wrong!
I am loosing out on $ 2700 and my main mode of transport due to this company’s utter incompetence and refusal to take responsibility over an incident that was entirely their fault. Companies like these are predatory towers and are interested in one thing and one thing only — scamming you out of your money. The employees are aggravatingly rude and will hang up on you, laugh at you, and literally yell at you over the phone. How they are even in business is beyond me. I’ve called around to lodge complaints on them, and this behavior seems to be a trend since there are already multiple complaints regarding A Personal Touch Recovery — they will give you a personal touch alright!

SCAM artists! They led me to a sketchy storage lot after driving all over town. Then expected me to pay $ 300 CASH to some shady meth head outside this sketchy lot. Beware of this completely unethical business practice. They will not take credit cards because they are a giant scam. I hope all of these greedy men drive their crummy beaten up tow trucks off a cliff.

The SHADIEST BUSINESS EVER!!! Their company goes by several different names so don’t get tricked. Worst service and they busted my window on my new car. They are hungry bastards that do anything for a little change. Where do I begin with my experience? I left work earlier to pick up my car, I arrived at 4:50pm and the place was shut down and all shackled up. It was scorching hot outside and the pick up location was next to «Crack Alley» no that is what the alley is really called. I have never felt so unsafe in my life. 2 hours of my life was spent making unwanted friends with the locals that would talk to me to «protect me» as they put it. «Very bad corner for a pretty lady», came out of one man’s mouth as he stolled around the block a few times. I wathced crack deals happen infront of me! I mean it was quite an experience. The tow truck driver never came to release my car even though I had called them after I arrived. Finally a cop came and saved the day as a worker (not the guy called for my case) came to drop off his tow truck. He released my vehicle for $ 190, um «It was $ 135 yesterday», I said. I handed over my favorite piece of plastic and he scoffed, «Cash only.» Um… they siad if I come between 8−5pm then they could take care of me sans cash, not the case. The nice gentleman cop drove me to an ATM and he gave the tow guy one big glare and was able to drop it to $ 140. He truly saved the day!
