History

Established in 2000.

Grover Miller pioneered modern concrete leveling techniques in 1982, with the idea of providing customers a lower cost alternative to replacing settled concrete slabs. Grover’s vision was realized after many hours working in his barn/​workshop in Peninsula, Ohio.

Grover’s industrial concrete experience included the lifting of dams, highway work, barges, airline runways and roadways. This background inspired Grover’s ideas for creating a self-​contained small truck system that would offering flexible residential concrete repair solutions. He added and changed parts until the system was perfected. He patented his equipment and launched A-​1 Concrete Leveling. Over 30 years later, Grover’s vision has been built into the largest concrete leveling company in America.

My name is Mike Komp. I bought the business after years of working in high school education, teaching science and IT technology. I have prior construction experience and an engineering background as well. But I really wanted to have something I could retire with and call my own. So I quit my job and moved from Ohio to Colorado and bought the South Denver territory, which has been here for over 10 years! I love what I do and the people I meet everyday.
