I just can’t give enough LOVE to Miracle Valley Vineyard!
Thanks to the dedication, talent and devotion of Mary Ann and Joe, the owners, their children, and the INCREDIBLE staff there, we have had many an afternoon enjoying their incredibly delicious wines.
Miracle Valley was the first place I ever had a Viognier and it did not take long to become a lifetime fan of Virginia’s state grape!
Barrel Oak is across the street and BOW is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but Miracle Valley is DEFINATELY worth the stop. Don’t drive past it without enjoying a tasting!
The carefully restored Tasting Room is so charming. The patio is absolutely gorgeous! Take a walk down to the pond, bring your picnic — — make it a family day.
Enjoying excellent wines in a gorgeous setting with wonderful people; it just doesn’t get any better! We look forward to many more afternoons at Miracle Valley.

Nice location… the wine is ok. Not the best but definitely not the worst. The tasting house is nice and the patio area is roomy. Not really a place I would spend a day or buy bottles of wine but nice to stop by. The woman that did our tasting was very nice.

Great little hole in the wall place for wine lovers. Their wines are excellent and every time I have visited here there has been a change to their tasting menu which is refreshing. The mulled spiced wine in the Fall is worth every penny! I have gotten their mulled spice DIY package for relatives as presents and they have all loved it. Another thing that sold me on this place though was David. Throughout the tasting he was giving advice on what foods he would cook with which wine, how he uses the wines to cook food and he was funny and personable while doing it. This was important to me because I like learning and being able to talk to the person doing the tastings. It makes the experience so much better! Definitely a fan of this place! I would love to be able to bring my pup on the outside patio!

EXCELLENT wines. We just stopped by for a tasting on our way home from Barrel Oak, so my review is short and sweet. I loved the house the tasting was in, very cozy and the tasting was really informative. We purchased a bottle of the Merlot and it was gone that night ! It would be five stars if I could bring my pup !

I was not particularly impressed with Miracle Valley. The woman leading our tasting didn’t appear to actually know anything about wine. Some of my friends used a groupon, and this confused the staff. They couldn’t figure out what it included.
Also, I didn’t like any of the wine. I wanted to spit out ¾ of the glasses because they were so dry. However, I’m still giving Miracle Valley two (maybe 2.5) stars because the mulled wine is delicious, and my friends actually liked the wine. I can see that it’s just a taste preference.

We visited this lovely vineyard as a result of the great Groupon value, but will go back. As far as VA wines go, this is among the best and could definately hold its own in Sonoma. While it may be on the less dry side, it is not sweet, but rather clean and crisp, the the case of the Chardonnay — and well balanced in the case of the Cabernet Franc. The setting is lovely, the people working at the tasting room were lovely and knowedgeable. Also, $ 17 per bottle is just about de rigeur in VA vineyards. As a matter of fact, I was pretty pleased with the prices as compared to other VA vineyards with higher prices and wines of a much lower caliber.
I’m sorry that so many of the other posters spent so much time talking about their dogs. Isn’t it possible to go for wine tastings without your dog? Is the dog relevant to the wine tasting?
This is a really nice place to visit with really nice wines. Go. Enjoy. Leave the hoity toity and your dogs at home.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. Miracle Valley was one of the better one among the five wineries we visited earlier this week. We had a wonderful lady who assisted with our tasting. I ended up purchasing a bottle of the Cobbler Mountain White even though it was a bit on the expensive side. I unfortunately did not like the dry whites here even though I usually prefer dry to off-​dry wines. I felt they were lacking in body a bit. I like my chardonnays full-​bodied, aged, oaky, and creamy with vanilla notes. Crisp and refreshing chards aged in steel sadly aren’t for me. Maybe that’s why strangely I preferred the sweeter offerings at Miracle Valley.
They had a couple of, though not many, reds that I liked. Again I thought they all tended to be too light for my taste. But we got some good advice even for other wineries in the area and specific wines at those places that she liked. We came on a Monday and were the only people there. The place was serene and pretty. There was also a guitarist playing on the patio. I would come back.

We stopped by Miracle Valley Vineyard just yesterday with some friends who had purchased a Groupon. I was expecting to have trouble finding the place judging by other reviews, but the GPS took us right there and there were signs on the road as well. It does sit back off the main road and you will have to travel a dirt road to get to the winery.
The grounds are beautiful and peaceful with a lovely view of the countryside. There is a large covered area with plenty of seating. You can bring your own picnic which is exactly what we did. Yesterday we had the added pleasure of getting to enjoy some music as well as they had a vocalist entertaining the crowd.
The Groupon included our 4 tastings, a glass of wine each, two baskets with salami, cheese and crackers and $ 12 off two bottles of wine. Not a bad value at all. I expected to learn more about the winery and wines during the tasting, but to be honest felt rushed through the process just a bit. The tasting room is quite small and there were others waiting so maybe that was the reason for the somewhat rushed tasting.
I am not a fan of sweet wines and Miracle Valley does definitely serve them up. We started with the Cobbler Mountain White and Sweet Michelle. The Cobbler Mountain White is not quite as sweet as Sweet Michelle and had flavors of grapefruit which made the wine more palatable to a dry wine lover. The Sweet Michelle was too sweet for me. We then moved on to the reds — Cobbler Mountain Red which again was quite sweet, the Merlot and a Cabernet Franc. The Merlot was my favorite and while Miracle Valley’s was lighter than I expected, it was smooth, somewhat fruity and quite delicious. We ended the tasting with a sample of their dessert wine, Symphony. This wine reminded me of a red wine one of my neighbors used to bring home from PA. It honestly tasted just like concord grapes.
All in all, this was a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Because Miracle Valley seems to lean toward the sweeter wines, I wouldn’t be in a rush to come back as I really prefer the dryer varieties. I really would have liked to try their Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, but they were not available in the tasting. Also, I recall seeing no dogs allowed signs, so leave your furry friends at home.

My finance and I recently came for a tasting and picnic and had a great time. The vineyard is on beautiful grounds and the people working were all very nice. We happened to come on the day they were bottling wine so that was fun to watch. The red wines were excellent, especially their Merlot but the whites were just okay, which is my only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5.
I would recommend for the atmosphere and the red wine. They also had live music and a pavilion that is shady. Good times!

Nice winery overall/​Decent selection of wines, very informative and down to earth tasting associates that make you feel comfortable.
Great area for bringing some food and enjoying the back deck or under the shelter out front.
Only gripe– $ 8 tasting fee for 7 wines? I wasn’t expecting to get hit with almost a bottle cost for 3 tastings (strict 1oz pours). We would’ve just picked one and gotten a ‘free’ glass.

Came here not too long before it closed and tried to do a tasting. At first we were told yeah hang on and then some other woman came out and said they stopped doing tasting at about 4:45 (it was 4:50).
She did offer to let us have a taste of something in case we wanted to get a bottle and sit outside. This tells me she didn’t have to stop serving or pouring, she just didn’t want to. Really it is just poor customer service and shows that you do not value customers. Your winery is not right off a main street, so you know I already spent time just getting to the place… Anyways, I will not be back.

The roads to this vineyard were windy and bumpy but as soon as we stepped off our bus we were greeted by friendly folks and a beautiful small cabin with an expansive porch which was perfect for sitting out and getting some sun.
The employees here are very friendly and super enthusiastic about their wines. I loved how passionate and funny they are.
The wines were just ok in my opinion and a little bit too sweet for my taste (let’s just say my friend who hates wine loved the wine here).
For those looking for a quieter, more chill winery experience Miracle Valley is definitely the way to go!

The winery was set back off a country road on a beautiful civil war era property. The staff was friendly and easy to work. We brought a groupon and a reservation was required in order for the staff to give their full attention to the group, which was appreciated. There was a broad selection of wine, with a good deal available to groupon users offering $ 12 off four bottles, an additional 10% off as well as two glasses of wine. The staff members we worked with lived adjacent to the property and there was a great chemistry between them, making a friendly atmosphere. The tasting room was converted from the owner’s home, and it had floors and a fireplace original to the civil war home. We really enjoyed ourselves at this homey and historic winery.

This quaint vineyard in the middle of winery/​vineyard country (the much bigger barrel oak winery is 1 mile up the road) is surrounded by beautiful land and great scenery.
We arrived early and were able to get a more intimate tasting as there weren’t too many people waiting for their chance. I can see it being an issue if larger groups arrived because there’s only space for 4 – 6 people at the bar. Our hostess was very nice and quite informative. Her perky personality definitely enhanced the experience.
Bottles of wine are in the 25 buck range. Food on offer is prepackaged cheese and crackers and such still in the box/​wrappers and such. When you purchase a bottle there’s lots of area to explore with your picnic basket including a gazebo, a pond (that’s swamped by mosquitos and dragonflies so not ideal for some people) and the foundation of some old building. We ended up hanging on the patio area listening to live music (which they have every weekend).
All in all it was a solid time. It’s a smaller vineyard so a bit more intimate. A definite solid space to stop on your wine tour.

I made an impulse decision to visit Miracle Valley and I’m glad I did! MV is located in what you might call the «Cobbler Mountain Cluster» of Virginia’s 250+ wineries. I know others have had challenges finding this vineyard, but Siri knew where to get a good glass of wine!
I walked in at around 11:30am and had the place to myself. No limos, no kids, no dogs. Just me and the great staff of Miracle Valley. Since it was right around Mardi Gras, they had the tasting room all festive. They also had a fun deal where you could do the tasting, get a goblet, a glass of wine and a Mardi Gras themed cupcake for $ 15. I thought that was pretty clever marketing.
I tried a flight of 7 wines. My favorites included the 2010 Merlot (which I purchased), the 2010 Cabernet Franc and the 2010 Meritage. The Cobbler Mountain Red and White also deserve honorable mention.
The property is lovely with lots of outdoor seating on the porch. Kids are welcome, but not pets. There is some indoor seating, but to really enjoy this winery (as with most) come on a warm day so you can sit outside and enjoy the view.

If your looking for a fun place with gorgeous scenery and great wine, Miracle Valley Vineyard is the place to go!
Laid on about 50 acres of Northern Virginia greenery, this winery boasts some fantastic reds and refreshing white wines! The vines take up about 10 acres with everything being from the winery itself! The tasting room is actually in an old 1800’s building with original wood flooring. Space is a little small inside but if your looking for something quaint with friendly staff its most definitely a perfect location nonetheless.
Entering the vineyard, you are greeted by the friendliest staff. Going down the wine tasting sheet, there are about 7 wines in total but a good mix of different aromas and flavors. Enjoy great music after the tasting and relax by the pond or under an umbrella on a warm summer day!
All in all, i’d give this place 5 stars. The owners are extremely friendly and also participate in wounded warrior programs on the side. Will definitely be spending more time at this winery compared to others!

Oh how I wish I was jamming to Fragma’s song from the 90’s «Toca’s Miracle» when driving towards Miracle Valley Vineyard. Why? Well as Tierra J. and Antonio M. stated «Its is a MIRACLE to find this Vineyard!»
I definitely used the scenic route driving on Cobbler Mountain Rd towards the main road entrance (Rolling Hills Rd).
Despite the adventure of finding Miracle Valley Vineyard the actual setting is pleasing to the eye. A small house with an open patio full of chairs and tables surrounded by an open valley plantation of grape-​bearing vines. The grounds can be rented out for weddings or special events. We tasted the following wines:
2010 Chardonnay
2011 Viognier
Cobbler Mountain White
2010 Reserve Chardonnay
2010 Cabernet Franc
2008 Merlot
Cobbler Mountain Red
The wine was on par and average at best. Likewise the tasting experience was lacking as our sales person simply read the wine’s description without excitement, flare, or knowledge.
Nevertheless, how the vineyard acquired its name (Miracle) is an interesting story. The owners (couple) toured wineries around the world for a year before buying land at Delaplane; thus, fulfilling a dream of opening a winery without any experience. Quite an accomplishment indeed!

A cute little venue for tasting wines. The woman working here was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the wines. The GPS address is 3841 Cobbler Mountain Road so make sure you use that if you want to find this place!

It really IS a miracle if you find this place! A few wrong turns and we found it. GPS is little to no help.
The tasting room is tiny. There are just a few spots at the counter, which was just fine with us.
The wine was all very good, with my favorite being the viogner. Boyfriend ended up getting the Sweet Michelle, which I wasn’t totally a fan of, until we had it with spicy Indian food. That sweetness was appreciated then.
The staff here is excellent and answered any and all questions. The time that we came here, it was still cold out, so we had some mulled wine as well and really enjoyed that.
I got an overall warm feeling from this place. It was very welcoming and quiet and comfortable. I’d definitely be back to get my viogner.

Miracle Valley Vineyard is another recent entrant to the rapidly expanding Virginia wine industry. They opened their doors in 2007. They are fairly small — which makes one’s visit fun and intimate.
I visited for the first time today — I arrived around 12:30 pm and was the only customer on hand. I was immediately greeted upon entering the small house which contains the tasting room — by Turbo — the resident winery dog. Turbo is a gorgeous little female Jack Russell Terrier — very warm, friendly, and loving. I had to stop, kneel down and give her some scritches — what an absolute adorable and cute little dog!
I was also greeted by one of their employees — Michelle — she was friendly and welcoming as well. I made a quick pit stop to use their restroom before I started the wine tasting — on my way back — I noticed a cute photo portrait of Turbo — framed and matted — hanging on the wall. I commented on it — she told me that Turbo is one of the dogs featured in the book series — «Wine Dogs USA.»
I tasted six wines:
2007 Chardonnay: Very light with the slightest hint of Citrus — aged in Stainless steel. Really — to light for me, but some folks might find it as a nice sipping wine during the heat of summer.
2007 Reserve Chardonnay: The same wine as the 2007 Chardonnay — but instead this one is aged in Hungarian Oak for six months — it gave the wine that bit of oakiness it needed. I liked this one.
2007 Viognier: Absolutely delightful! Light, fresh, crisp, and tasty. This one would pair well with chicken, seafood, cheeses, fruits…
2007 Merlot: Nothing really interesting going on here — the wine lacked the richness and body I tend to lean towards in Merlots. Not bad — just not my thing.
2007 Cabernet Franc: This one is interesting — hints of berry and cherry and the slightest hint of a black pepper finish. I think a few years in the wine rack would make this wine a good un!
Symphony: A dessert wine containing a blend of 6 varietals — Chard, Merlot, Concord, Niagara, Vidal, and Isabella grapes. The thing that really struck me when I tasted this was how strongly the Concord grapes influenced the wine. Very sweet — would go really well with chocolate and chocolate desserts.
I bought one bottle of the Symphony to take with me.
The winery has this very cozy little nook area with couches and chairs to sit with a bottle of wine and enjoy oneself — there is also a deck area out back.
I think in a few years it will be interesting to see how their reds evolve and mature.
I will be back!
