Specialties
Miracle Valley is a family friendly vineyard that specializes in making wine from their estate grown grapes from over 8000 vines. Their International award winning red wines are full bodied and dry. Their white wines are crisp and flavorful. The 50 acres of beautiful Virginia country side allows ample space for families to picnic, play games and enjoy good Virginia wine.
History
Established in 2004.
The idea for Miracle Valley Vineyard started in 1990 when the owners first thought of creating a family friendly winery in Delaware. After years of research the owners decided that Delaware was not a good choice for their winery. They perferred the hills, mountains and rich soil of Virginia. Stationed in Virginia while in the Navy, the winemaker knew the rich agricultural history of Virginia and he kept coming back. Once they decided on Virginia they began a one year journey around the countryside and decided on Delaplane because of terrain and access to major highways. In 2004, they planted 4,000 vines, soon followed by another 4,000. The tasting room, which is converted civil war era farm house opened to the public in August 2007. The owners have spent the last 5 years establishing gardens, restoring old civil war era buildings and perfecting the wine making craft.
