Specialties
Our family winemaking team specializes in Bordeaux-style red wines and blends from our Howell Mountain Napa Valley estate. We offer a coveted Wine Club through which most of our wines may be acquired.
Our flagship wine, VIADER is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a significant component of Cabernet Franc. Our most unique blend «V» features Petit Verdot with Cabernet. We also produce an estate Syrah and the VIADER «Black Label» blending Cabernet with Syrah and Malbec. Our DARE by Viader line includes single varietal wines including a Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
History
Established in 1986.
Viader is a leading Napa Valley winery estate established in 1986 by Delia Viader. Viader is recognized around the world for consistently producing high quality red wines. Argentine-born Delia Viader came to the US as a post-grad, and quickly transformed her Howell Mountain property into a premium winery estate.
Continuously family-owned and operated, Delia’s son Alan assumed the role of winemaker in 2006, blending wines with his mother and mentor. Delia’s daughter Janet manages the sales & marketing. Alan’s wife Mariela is the winery’s talented Executive Chef for special events.
In 2006, Viader opened up a hospitality center to welcome visitors at the vineyard on Howell Mountain, and offer wine tastings paired with stunning panoramic views of the Napa Valley. Tours and tastings may be arranged by calling ahead.

Delia V. says,
«We appreciate the innovation and talent of Chef/Owner Richard Reddington who also catered the wedding of our winery owners Alan and Mariela Viader in 2006. Mariela used to cook at Redd in 2005 – 2006.»
