DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

I really enjoy going to this hotel because I make it a point to stay on one of the executive. By doing so I have access to the executive lounge where you can indulge in some evening appetizers and drinks. In the morning you can enjoy some breakfast items and I believe cook to order eggs (I actually haven’t tried their breakfast yet).
The hotel is located just off the highway and attached is an indoor waterpark and fitness facility. The front end lobby can be quite busy especially when they have several functions going on. I was a bit disappointed the couple time I have stayed here as there was no one manning the Starbucks area when approached each time. Apparently the person who runs it also has other duties that might take them away for a short period.
I ordered room service and it came within the time frame specified. The crab cakes though were slightly charred leaving a small bitter taste in your mouth. The cookies though I always love when I order the assorted ones.
The one bad thing I would say is the housekeepers are a bit anxious to get the rooms clean. I was working at the desk when around 8:30am I heard three taps of a key card on the door and before I could even turn my desk chair to get up the housekeeper was already opening the door and walking in as she announced herself. I think she was a bit shocked to see me standing there, thankfully clothed, and quickly retreated back into the hall. I informed the front desk about this, daringly checkout that morning, and the manager was apologetic but didn’t seem surprised as if this has happened before. She made a quick note to notify the housekeeping manager and I was on my way.
I would absolutely stay here again just for the executive lounge. It has a really nice view of the highway and mountains.

This hotel is attached to the Coco Keys water park. We decided to stay here a night while visiting the water park for our first time. We booked a family suite, which is nice that it had a separate sleeping area with 2 twin beds for the kids. The hotel is nice and very family friendly. They offer a couple restaurant choices (pretty pricey too) with the buffets catered to kids (chicken finger, fries, pizza, and such). They even have a Starbucks located in their lobby, which was a hit or miss. They also offer a movie viewing in the evenings for families to enjoy, which was nice for the kids to unwind to after an evening at the water park. Overall we had a nice stay here. If you plan to spend a couple days at the water park I highly recommend staying at this hotel since it’s attached to it making it super convenient.

My family and I made a reservation for an over night stay water package just this weekend. So glad we did it because the timing was just right. Since I knew it was going to be crazy packed last weekend due to the kids Winter Break we decided to book it this week. Plus, I have an Autistic son so we try to avoid large crowds and lots of noise as much as possible. Arriving was simple and easy because we didnt have to wait and the room was ready at 3:30 (30 mins before check-​in time). We got in our rooms, changed, and went straight to CoCo Key Indoor Waterpark. The kids love the waterpark! The waterpark is fun for all ages (my kids are 2,8, and 13) and perfect temperature to warm up in this cold weather. I also love the fact that they have a bar on deck for adults to also relax and enjoy a beverage or two. Our hotel reservation came with 4 twilight waterpark tickets (4−9pm $ 10 off regular price) but trust me the kids get wared out fast especially my little ones so we didnt even end up staying til 9. Glad we didnt purchase the full day tickets. Our family room was comfortable, dine-​in room service was quick, and food was pretty good. You can also put in an order for breakfast by midnight so you dont have call it in in the morning and they arrive specifically at the time u requested which is awesome. By the time we checked out I was satisfied with our over night stay at Doubletree. For a one day getaway for a family of five that doesn’t really go out as much, I would say we had a blast!

When we arrived Gia helped us check in she was friendly and very attentive and helped us get the best room for my family. Everyone from the restaurant staff, house keeping, to the star bucks employee was very friendly. We enjoyed the size of the rooms the comfy beds, and the late night room service! All in all we had a great time!!!

The DoubleTree (Danvers, MA) is a spacious and accommodating wedding venue! Jackie and Anthony are the staff members that directly were working with us to make our big day special. They were able to answer all questions asked by my fiancé, my parents, and myself. The hotel was able to provide our guests a room with their large room block.
The Grand Ballroom is exceptional. The dancefloor runs the whole length of the massive room, giving your guests plenty of space. No one wants a cramped wedding reception! THE FOOD CHOICES ARE AMAZING, and they allow the bar to be paid for by consumption. Added perk! We could give an allowance to the bar to pay for beverages, or we could pick up the tab. They do also offer an «open bar» option price per person as well as table wine service.
FOR YOUR WEDDING PARTY, THIS VENUE OFFERS A PRIVATE AREA TO GET READY AND TAKE PHOTOS. The hotel has countless photo spots! You don’t even need a photo room! Since we are having a winter wedding, Jackie and Anthony told us that the hotel would still have the Christmas décor up for pictures as well. This was appealing to us.
From the moment we visited the DoubleTree Hilton, Jackie and Anthony greeted us with a champagne toast, and gave us some of the delicious cookies to take home. Their hospitality and extra efforts to make us feel appreciated definitely did not go unnoticed! JACKIE AND ANTHONY ARE ABLE TO WORK WITH YOUR BUDGET, GUEST LIST, AND SPECIAL REQUESTS.
The DoubleTree Hilton, Danvers, was a pleasure to work with.

Second, time we stayed at this hotel. We remained 1 evening. We experienced gorgeous space having a massive seated region looking over the freeway. The home bedding was really comfy. The only real enhancement that may are making to this particular space is at the restroom. The bath doorway swings inward and you have to be thin to gain access to the bath. For Danvers as well as the cost we compensated, great deal.

The location is so so so bad. It’s out of no where. The map shows they are next to the interstate; actually it’s not too far from the interstate BUT it will take 15 minutes loop around the residential areas and go on top of the hills. It was awful! The service is bad too. I called asked for regular pillows and blanket because of the allergy at 6pm and let them know we will be check in at 8pm. By the time we get there, 8:30 pm because of the HIDDEN location, the front desk said «oh sorry you room is not ready; someone moved your room!». We waited for twenty minutes and I called again, finally got it done 15 mins later. We requested a check out at noon, and one of their employee knocks on the door at 11:30am, says are you suppose to check out TODAY?! The breakfast at 7^th floor for the diamond members was ok, but the lady was not friendly either.

You would be better off renting a van and sleeping it in then staying here. This building is creepy and awkward, the location is placed far from anything. Maybe Hilton hotels forgot about this location and they never updated it or cared to check on the establishment. Service is grade F. Food is grade D. Cleanliness is repulsive. Light fixes had 12 inches of dust. Curtains were from 1935. Please keep your hard earned money and do yourself a favor and stay away from this «hotel». Double tree by Hilton motels.

What a dump. Hilton should throw them out. First when we checked in room we reserved wasn’t available. Next day in executive lounge breakfast ends at 9am so I went to restaurant. One waitress working ordered food and waited 30 minutes and then it was wrong.
They should change the name to Doublecrossed by Hilton.
Run Run Run don’t stay here.

I used this Hotel for my wedding; worked with Maria for a large room block over several days. Once I signed the contract, any desire to help me vanished. The customer service was well below average and the management was a pain to work with.
Every interaction with the hotel staff was frustrating and it felt like customer service was the last thing on their minds. At one point the lady working the front desk told me «I’m sorry but I don’t want to have to deal with this right now — I’m working past when I was suppose to go home. You will have to work with my associate.»
The staff screwed up the billing and charged the people for rooms I was paying for. The management did not return phone calls and were unwilling to help in any way.
Rooms I had booked for out of town guests were for the wrong dates despite me being very clear on what nights were needed. Multiple emails, personal visits, and phone calls were necessary to correct the errors.
Maria never answers the phone. Ever.
It seems that this hotel is benefiting from being the only «big» hotel in the area and has let the basics slide. If you can book anywhere else — even if it is further away, I’d recommend it. Save your money and sleep in a tent — the service would be better.

All I can say is that I slept like a baby. After an exhaustive day of traveling, melting into nice, cool sheets with peace and quiet all around was what I needed. The staff are friendly, which outshines the fact that the hallways to the rooms are like a maze and there isn’t easy access to the eleveators… which I never found. So you may be forced to climb the stairs, luggage in hand, but getting to the room made it worth the trek.

I don’t travel the East coast often… Keep this in mind.
This hotel is definitely an older building. The hallways wind back and forth and seemed endless. the night receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I checked in late but was very glad the king sized bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.
All in all this was what one would expect from a Doubletree. Nothing more, nothing less. I would not be afraid to stay here again!

Although a very big and nice hotel, they gave me a handicapped room. I’m 26. I guess I find it hard to believe there weren’t other rooms. Honestly, i didnt mind I just wish I had an option to take the seat out of the tub. Also, I found it strange that the actual shower head was on the wall along the bathtub.
I think the main reason I decided to review this hotel is because of the mold and spores growing above the bathtub AND there was still used soap in there from the previous guest.

For my son’s birthday celebration weekend, at check-​in my son and I were sized up by the young blonde as «not worth the effort to be nice» and from there on, our stay was just as grim. She didn’t even want to give us the typical Hilton warm cookie! Lol We then got the wrong room, I ordered family and got standard double next to the stairs, (loud at night), no microwave or fridge in your room like advertised, (I called and they didn’t move us. Their records held us at this room). We got terrible food from room service, (don’t order the clam chowder it tasted like mold, honestly, I ate 5 bites and couldn’t ingest anymore). They provided a candle for my sons cake, but no matches. (His birthday is Wednesday, I’ll make up for it then.)
They even had my address completely wrong on the final bill! Probably why we had the wrong room!
The «free» breakfast is a joke, they make you stay and be seated so you can tip your host, you will not be able to take anything to your room, not even tea. So I declined to be forced into it. For someone who doesn’t want a crowd for a morning experience, this is a major negative. At 9:30am a maid open the door waltzed right in on us still in the room then proceeded to «act» surprised. What if I either of us were getting dressed! The «fun» never ends.
The only nice staff-​person was the man who held the front door open for us as we entered in. He should get a raise.
Pros, beds are comfy, and the water park next door was the draw. I kept a smile on my face for my sons birthday weekend. His happiness is what was important, but I had to write this review. For a place to have a Hilton name, this place is a shame shame shame.

Just stayed with a large group for a nearby wedding.
What won me over was the family suites! We were traveling with two young boys and their family suites offer a separate area in the room for the kids with two single beds. There’s also a waterpark attached, which we didn’t use — but we did find our way to the arcade when we had a few extra moments.
While many of the other reviews say that this hotel isn’t close to anything (this is true in the relative sense of close), it is also close enough to plenty of things… it was easy for us to meet friends in Salem & Boston for dinner, enjoy a beach day in Ipswitch, hop a whale watch in Gloucester, and attend a wedding in Beverly.
And cookies make things better.

When I unexpectedly had to cancel a room block, Maria worked with me. It turned out they were able to rent all of the rooms and they did not charge me. Maria is very professional and responded very quickly to my emails and calls. Recommended!

The location and space in this hotel was ideal for my travel, and the service by staff is great. But the hotel itself is quite average for a Double Tree hotel. Although travelling alone I was upgraded to a family room with 2 little kids beds (?). It offered more space, but was not anything special. I would recommend this location, but do not arrive with incredible expectations.

Atlantis sports club (the blonde lady are not friendly and no professional at all) we was there for the weekend and on Sunday she tried to block us to go to the pool saying that we don’t look like guess from hotel
I asked her why??? And she look us like spanish people are not welcome here!!! Wowwww we are not spanish anyways but seems to me the hotel really need to hire people who can handle no american citezens only, I’m going back to Italy feeling very frustate

The water park is the only thing nearby. You never know if the shuttle will be there. A cab to anywhere is at least $ 20.
Room was ok, but not worth the price. Remote barely worked for the TV. Staff were not particularly friendly. Beware they put a hold on your credit card for an extra $ 50/​day.

I wish my work wouldn’t force me to stay here when in town. This place is a dump, there is nothing close to it, the power outlets are really awkward to get to (only one plug to iron your clothes and it’s on the opposite side of the room from the closet.) The guy at the bar downstairs is a jerk and the food is overpriced and mediocre. The beds are comfortable and if they weren’t this easily would be a 1 star hotel.

We stayed valentine’s day weekend, during the snowstorm. This is a busy day of the year for hotels, and additionally, weather conditions such as these present their own set of challenges. A competent management team knows this, and prepares accordingly. The management team of this hotel failed to do their job.
It being valentine’s day, my partner and I were planning on having a nice, romantic dinner. I asked the woman checking us in if we would need a reservation to dine at the hotel’s Tradewinds Lounge that evening. No, she assured me. A reservation would not be necessary.
We came downstairs a little past 8:30, hungry and looking forward to having a nice dinner together. Imagine our disappointment when the hostess informed us that because so many people were ordering room service, it would be an hour and a half wait to receive our meals after our order was placed, and because of this, they were not seating anyone at that time. Are you kidding?
As you might imagine, I was pretty pissed off upon hearing this. Unfortunately, attempting to find a viable dining alternative at 9:00 pm on the night of Valentine’s Day during a blizzard is pretty much impossible. We were forced to stay and wait for a table.
I will say that the hotel concierge did make an effort to accommodate us in this situation. When I went to the front desk and expressed my dissatisfaction, the concierge woman (who was, in fact, the same woman who had told me earlier that I would not need a dinner reservation) took ownership of her mistake, gave us free snacks from the lobby store, and escorted us to the lounge. She instructed the hostess to seat us as soon as possible, and to comp all of our drinks. (I should mention that it is because of her that this review has two stars instead of one.) When we were seated, two waitresses took our drink orders and brought us soup on the house while we waited. By the time we ordered, the wait time had been reduced somewhat, so our food came a little earlier than expected.
However, it was still evident that the restaurant was hectic and understaffed. While the staff was friendly and courteous, they were sparse and hard to locate after our food had been served. Also annoying was the fact that we were seated right next to another couple, at a table next to the kitchen, directly in front of an area with a dozen-​or-​so empty tables for two. I thought maybe that section had been closed for the night, but soon after we were seated, several couples were seated in that area and waited on, so there went that theory. The food was mediocre, and did not come as the menu described… my steak was listed on the menu as coming with crispy leeks, parsnip purée and figs. These things did not make an appearance on my plate. If we had been charged full price for our meal, I would have been very upset. It was not the romantic dinner I had hoped for.
By the time our meal was finished, it was 10:30. We had been planning all day to cap the night off with a bottle of champagne sent up to our room. I asked the front desk if we could have a bottle of champagne sent up to our room. She told me that she didn’t think this would be possible (this was 30 minutes before the kitchen was closed). I asked if it would be possible for me to get one myself at the bar? All we wanted was the bottle of champagne in our hotel room, so we could enjoy it alone together.
After checking with room service and the hotel manager, she informed me that someone would bring a bottle to our room in 45 minutes. We went upstairs to our room to wait.
An hour and a half later, we were awake, sleepy, a champagne-​less. I had to call the front desk AGAIN to remind them that we were waiting for the bottle. By the time it arrived, we were so tired we could barely enjoy it.
There were a number of other, smaller disappointments that happened during our stay (the front desk ran out of cookies upon checking us in; we found old, stale candy in the cushions of our room’s love-​seat [gross]), but one thing in particular that could have resulted in disaster was the lack of thorough cleaning in our shower. The first time we used it that weekend, I stepped in after the water had been running for about a minute, slipped, and fell HARD, hitting my back and elbow. I came away with some large bruises on my back, and I’m lucky that’s all! I could have cracked my head open. This hotel is very lucky I didn’t seriously injure myself.
With all of this said, it’s a shame that a lovely, vast hotel facility such as this one so clearly suffers from lackluster management somewhere up the chain of command. We found the Coco Key water park made for a very enjoyable and fun V-​Day date… if only the rest of our stay hadn’t been tainted by an amalgamation of issues that could have been easily avoided! If only communication between the employees had been adequate, and the management had properly prepared for the expected holiday weekend. We will not be staying here again.

Nice to have, separate (kinda) sleeping area for up to 2 children.

Nice big empty lounge areas, one has a piano.

The Walk way to the hotel gym was basically right in front of our one large picture window, apparently the gym does well because the parade of people looking in our room was never ending. Not cool when you’d like to open the curtain and let some sunlight in your BASEMENT room. :(

I love Double Tree Hotels they are classy, beautiful and comfortable all at the same time. This hotel, I’m sure has nice upper levels.
However…My Family and I went here for the waterpark and the family ‘suite’ room. I feel as if we overpaid, as the waterpark was extremely small, dirty and just not what we expected. What we got was not a suite at all but a Basement room that was small dark and kinda sad. I’m Just glad we made good of our time together and had a nice mini vacation anyway.

On my recent vacay to New England with the munchkin we ended up spending the night at this hotel. Definitely one of the better stops that we had while on our trip.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating and willing to help you out with a travel size anything if you ran out or forgot something like deoderant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, or whatever. The staff also has some good recommendations for food that isnt a major chain and where the locals want to go and grub.

The free grub included some nice choices of hot and cold cereal, drinks (juice, soda, coffee, tea, etc), hot items with sausage or eggs, cold items with bagels/​cream cheese, etc etc etc. Overall both the munchkin and I were sated and happy when we left after eating breakfast.
They have free wi-​fi here which is nice when you have to pay for such an item. Be warned to not get a handicap room, their showers are hella funky. I would also suggest that you use some of their shampoo/​conditioner. It was the best on the trip that we found.
If you want a fridge, that is an extra $ 25/​night charge =\ Overall this place was very nice and we were up on the 8^th floor. Next store is an indoor waterpark that the munchkins would love to go play and spend a day at I can assure you without a doubt.
Definitely a place I would like to stay at again. Many of the other places that I stopped at were not in this category. So enjoy it if you stay here.

I’m not sure what kind of palaces other people are used to staying at but all I can say is that this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. One disclaimer before I begin is that this place was booked for me by an Asian tour bus group so I can’t say much about the price of the hotel or the check-​in experience with the front desk staff.
The rooms were spotless. The sheets were freshly washed and the beds were really comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean as well and the water seemed to be filtered.
The other accommodations in this hotel are what really make it shine. There are lots of places to sit down and chill on your laptop, including a living room with a grand piano.
The gym was by far the most well equipped hotel gym I have been to. There’s a huge variety of machines and dumbbells, more than enough to hit all the muscle groups. The only problem is that it closes at 9:45 which is a bit too early for my taste.
The most mindblowing part by far was that it’s connected to a FREAKING WATERPARK. I didn’t get a chance to visit since it closed at 9:30 but having to option to go to a water park right down the hall is great, especially if you have kids in your group.
This hotel is awesome and I’m really surprised/​grateful that my cheapass Asian tour bus group booked this place.
