Coco Key Water Park

This is our first visit to an indoor water park. It’s only a short drive outside Boston, so we decided to make it a short get away with the kids and booked a night at the Double Tree as well. The water park was smaller than what we expected. There are 4 large sides, a lazy river, and structure for kids to go up and play. The small size park worked out great that we didn’t have to follow the kids everywhere. We were able to sit at the table areas and watch the kids play from there. I really liked the fact that the life guards are very attentive and alert, though at times a little whistle happy. One day here was plenty for the kids to play. After our second day there, the kids were ready to leave after only a couple hours of play. This is a definite fun day trip for young children.

It was not pleasant, because it was crowded and has not much variety for adults … never again

We had the best time! Lifeguards are great! Food is great! Drinks a bit pricey but delicious! Super friendly staff! We stayed 2 nights, even the hotel staff was amazing! We had a great time!!! Highly recommended!!!

This park is great for younger kids up to 12. I think older kids would be bored. The place gets crowded so go early if you want to get a table. Also, book your tickets online as you will pay more if you don’t. You may not even be able to get in if they sell out. Plenty of life guards, life jackets and towels. Food areas are slow and expensive. No atm nearby either so bring cash if you don’t plan to use credit. Bathrooms and shower area could use cleaning more often. Overall, my kids had a blast and I would return during the long winter days for some fun. Kids ages were 5, 7, and 10.

sitting here at coco keys writing this review. Very disappointing with their customer service. Haven’t been here for several years so don’t remember much about their water park policy. We thought it’s just like other water parks whose willing to provide towels to their visitors that’s why we didn’t bring our own towels. We were told towels only provided to hotel guests. I told them I’m willing to pay to rent the towels but they denied. I have 2 young kids and asked them if I can at least have 1 towels for them to share. I mean just a towel, the whole hotel don’t have at least ONE spare towels for their guests? Even though we don’t stay at the hotel but we still pay $ 150 to get here. Very frustrating. This will be our last time here. Will never come again

This place was clean and well-​run and fun. And I felt that the life guard staff was very attentive, safety-​wise. I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to these kind of places, but it felt extremely cared for and «hygienic» if you know what I mean. I guess all this reflects in the price which is high. We didn’t eat there or order drinks, and the total came to the price of a small-​vacation (a locker alone costs 10 dollars). Guess when you don’t go away for the holidays, Coco Key becomes like your mini vacation. Anyhow — worth it to splurge once in awhile, and know they have some memberships probably worth checking out.

Decently maintained. Lifeguards are actually paying attention to safety. Typical indoor water park, but nothing special.
What really irks me though is the WHISTLES from the lifeguards. It’s one thing to blow the whistle at 10 year olds who are jumping on top of people in the pool. But I had the whistle blown on me because I was walking next to my young niece in the river without a tube. A couple had the whistle blown on them because they were putting their toddler on the bottom half of the slide in the kiddie area so she could go down. I’m still scratching my head at what the safety violation was there.
Here’s the bottom line. I’m paying $ 45 per person to freeze my butt off (yes it was NOT the advertised 86 degrees) and get bumped into by little kids on a Saturday afternoon instead of doing what I want to do (sit on my butt in front of the couch and watch TV). I am the man with the money. I am the man who decides whether to go to Coco Key or some other godforsaken kids activity. So when I have a 16 year old girl blow a whistle at me for standing in 2 feet of water without a tube like I was an 8 year old, I have this tendency to close my wallet and NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.
I suggest to management that they train their teenage staff on proper whistle use:
Little brat punching other little brat = blow the whistle.
Tubeless adult in lazy river spending $ 150 to be miserable = DON’T BLOW THE WHISTLE.

I expected more rides and fun things to do for my money. After couple hours the kids were bored. They did made the best of it anyway. I went to the bar for a drink although the young man at the bar was nice, the drinks suck. To conclude I will probably go again if I am in the neighborhood of Danvers but not make a trip specifically for this place.

nice place for the younger crowd, however there are always so many older kids that ruin a lot of the fun for the young ones. my daughter enjoys swimming in the pool, as a lot of other small children do, and there seems to ALWAYS be an over powering older crowd that always splashes and rough houses with no consideration of the toddler age kids.
there is also a large jungle gym with slides and water spouts, lazy river, and a oversized indoor/​outdoor luxurious hot tub.
lifeguards are always on duty, I just wish they would be more attentive to the older crowd that can actually be a danger with the pushing/​shoving/​splashing/​jumping.

Great, but just make sure your shower right after you leave! Bacteria is rampant. We should have to shower before being allowed to play…
It’s all fun if you just don’t look at everything with a microscope. :) it’s for the kids anyways.

I took my son to coco key it is a nice place my son had a lot of fun he didn’t wanna leave not for me as an adult it’s not so much fun as other mayor attractions .
What I didn’t like was faded or rusted paint on those water slides, admission and food is expensive $ 175 for cabanas? $ 7.00 for lockers?
Bring back those $.50 cent ones. Towels! where are the large ones?
Rest rooms and showers were clean.
lifeguards were nice and focused all the time.
I can say I did take my son there again he’s the one that didn’t complain lol

«CoCo Key, a terrible way to start your day. Where all the rides get shut down. And remember, there’s never any refunds.» –my nine year old about our second disappointing and LAST visit.
Our first visit: air temperature FREEZING, kids got some tokens in arcade as a compensation at check in, 30 minutes later they were blue and shivering, left, day ruined.
Our second visit: red area shut down for a bodily accident, shortly after blue area shut down because of potential lightening — which really was all areas shut down except kiddie area and pool, no announcements, no make goods, ZERO customer service! — the manager even looked right and me and kept walking when I said «I will never come back here again.»

Fun place for the family. Mostly catered to children so if you are an adult, the fun might fade out quickly. Enjoyed the splash but the down side was the food. $ 10 for burgers! $ 5 for fries! That was insane. You cant bring outside foods and there are no refills on soft drinks that are $ 2.50 a cup.
Cool arcade room with a few «ticket» arcades and if you walk down to the Hotel, there is a Starbucks there for some caffeine.

I’m a Co-​Co nut for Co-​Co Key!
The first thing I want to say about this place is if you go as a couple it’s not that much fun, but if you have kids they’ll enjoy their time and so will you. I say this because the place is basically made to accommodate children, but it can be fun for adults although the fun will run out quickly.
The staff is super friendly, and the lifeguards are right on track when it comes to safety, I enjoyed that very much.
A few things I didn’t like we’re the fact the jacuzzi wasn’t warm enough, it says 100 degrees but the water felt like 80 degrees tops that’s not warm enough for a jacuzzi in my eyes. I also noticed a lot of dirty spots on the bottoms of a lot of places in the water areas which kind of creeped me out. I also think the floors should be more child proof, I felt like I could slip so easily from one side to the other park.
I did enjoy the bar, the bartender made my drink extremely good and the price was standard. I also did enjoy the other families at this park it seems like co co key makes everyone happy to a point all families act like families with everyone. The water slides were my favorite part of this park. Adults and children will enjoy this, although small children wouldn’t meet the height requirement. The lazy river was also fun, it was always packed but it was fun.
Besides the jacuzzi, 4 water slides and the lazy river adults can’t do much else. I recommend adults with children to go.
One thing I did witness that made me super happy, and I wanted to make sure to write it in my review was the «test» they did to the lifeguards. I witnessed a worker act like he was drowning to see how fast the lifeguard would take to realize and within 2 seconds the lifeguard jumped right in and «saved» him that made me feel so happy regarding the safety.
Also I do recommend you stay at the hotel that’s connected to co co key, they offer early morning access before anyone else and at that time the park is less crowded and more enjoyable.

I went today with my two teenage children. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and there was nowhere to sit. Many tables had been reserved for birthday parties. We found one open chair and used that for all our things. The place was definitely full (it felt oversold) and they still were letting people in when we left at 2:30 p.m.
There were many lifeguards but not many enforced the rules. For example, the Lazy River signage clearly states that riders should not form chains with the tubes, yet many did, making it hard for single riders to get by. Also, there were two women on tubes holding a baby in between the innertubes. So dangerous!
We looked at the food stand but the prices were outrageous. After spending $ 45/​person on admission, we weren’t going to be paying $ 10 for a burger.
The women’s locker room wasn’t that clean. Several toilets needed attention.
I don’t feel like we got our money’s worth, and we won’t be going back soon and definitely not on a weekend!

A great place for kids 12 and under. Never go there during any holiday week because they jack up their prices. Charging a entry price for a adult thats not swimming is just greed. .plain and simple so beware.

I have always enjoyed this place even with the super high price tag, but this Feb vacation it was just the worst! They claim to be experiencing an issue with their heat so the park was FREEZING inside and my kids didn’t even want to go into the water. One would think they would offer a refund but nope… just a stupid arcade pass with just enough credit on it to make the kids whine they need more money after about 10 minutes. Also, there seemed to be some shortage of staff as there were no employees posted at entrances or exits from the water rides and little kids were getting trampled. Add in the pile of babies in diapers bobbing around in the jacuzzi trying to warm up and the whole thing was a gross, irretrievable disaster.
Maybe the management has changed or something? Definitely going downhill.

It was OK in the past but during Feb vacation week 2015 — it was only 70 °F inside. Kids not in the water were wearing hats, gloves and ski gear because it was so cold. They promise «Where every day is a bright 84 degrees!» on their web site– not so this Winter.
And don’t tell me when it’s 20 °F outside it is unusual for New England.
Plus there were a LOT of life guards missing from many rides and it was a free-​for-​all. Because it was so cold many families put their cold toddlers (with diapers on!) in the jacuzzi. Can you say E. Coli or C. Difficile? Big step down from our experience two years ago. Avoid for now until they solve the heat and staffing problems.

My kids loved the water attractions but… the place was quickly overwhelmed by several summer camp groups. The wait for the tube and body slides went from 5 minutes to 40, with the line extending beyond the 4 flights of stairs. We used a Living Social deal that saved us 25% of the high price of admission. But they more than made up their money with the overpriced snack bar (no outside food allowed). $ 10 hamburger. $ 7 hot dog. Insult to injury that the Hilton supplied snack bar was understaffed, so any meal order took 30 minutes and the food was mediocre at best.
The crowd was an interesting mix of educated moms with nice kids looking to fill a rainy day, the aforementioned camp groups and «interesting» families that fall into the «fats and tatts» category.
Would also be nice if they cleaned the mildew off the risers of the stairs. The limited number of showers were gross.

We recently attended our nephews’ birthday party at Coco Key. We experienced the park as part of a birthday party so I can’t really comment on the value for the money since we didn’t spend any.
The party seemed well organized. I guess since they have so many they are short on space but the room they put us in was pretty depressing. There was pizza, drinks and cake. They got some game cards to use in the arcade. Then we were directed to the water park. They had a table reserved for us that was nice to use as a home base for the kids.
The water park was OK. After the winter we had it was nice to spend some time doing something a little different indoors. I liked the lazy river, my son never tired of it. He also enjoyed the slide for the little ones. I don’t think I’d go out of my way to spend a day here but we enjoyed the birthday party. It was a nice change.
